Great House!

  • 5 of 5

The house was just as described! It was very clean and well-equipped; we all took turns cooking meals and we were all happy with the kitchen. One of our party fished during the week we were there, and enjoyed it very much! The Fighting Cocks pub is just about a mile away - easy walk - and the food there was delicious! Fordingbridge is about 1 mile in the other direction - another easy walk. Everything you need is in Fordingbridge, and Salisbury is an easy 30 minute drive for anyone coming on the train.

The customer service was excellent! Debra and Tony were both very helpful.

No complaints at all, and I would recommmend this property unconditionally!

Golden wedding Anniversary

  • 5 of 5

Lovely place for a celebration. There were 10 of us all various ages. Very spacious rooms to suit every age with us taking the double bedroom and wet room which suited our needs. Very comfortable lounge for every one to sit. Good spot for seeing the forest and ponies just at top of road, and central for visiting all parts. Very enjoyable stay for our get together Thank you Angela Barnes

FANTASTIC!

  • 5 of 5

I am delighted that we chose to stay at this property. Local information and instructions about the property were sent to us in advance of our stay which was very useful.

On arirval, the property was very well cleaned and presented, with biscuits and wine from the owenrs which is a lovely touch. The rooms were large and had comfy beds.

The property was spacious enough for our group, with a large lounge and seating area which was very sociable. The outside patio area and BBQ was fantastic, and we brought our own coals for a BBQ which caught the evening sun.

The propoerty is very close to Sandy Balls where we hired bikes (there are also other facilities too if we so wished). Location is great, rural enough to easily start a number of trails, walks cycle rides etc, but also close enough to Fordingbridge and the main road for easy access by car and to drive to other destinations.

I would definitely stay here again!

great place

  • 5 of 5

criddlestyle cottage is a very highly appointed holiday home we spent a week here but wish we had stayed longer.

the owners were very helpfull with are requests, the cottage is of a very high standard with all the basics well catered for even down to dishwasher tabs and washing powder we could not find fault, I would like to spend time here in the winter because the lounge is so relaxing with a huge log burner and very comfortable seating, we were the first party in after a total refurb and would love to go back in the future.

No more to be said . Great place.

Notes:

  • This single storey cottage is ideal for disabled use. There is a ramp to the rear of the property and there is a shower room suitable for wheel chair access. The property is all on one level, with the exception of a step in the lounge but this does not prevent wheel chair access to the whole property. There is HD SKY TV in the Lounge with a 46' flat screen 1080 television. There is also a 21' flat screen television with digibox and dvd player in the master bedroom and Bedroom 4 and a portable television with digi box in Bedroom 3. If the fishing options are taken, the River Avon is a fast flowing deep river and therefore children would need to be supervised by adults and no swimming or boating is permitted in the river. If you are intending to fish, all tackle, nets, boots and bait should be kept in the secure garden shed and not in the Cottage. A security deposit of £500 is required to ensure against damage to the property
