Idyllic 3 storey house to sleep 6 near Montpellier.Locally managed.

Set in the centre of a sunny medieval village just 20 km north of Montpellier our 300+ year old beautiful air conditioned property (5 STAR rated on home away) is on 3 floors with 2 sunny terraces.Our house is modernly furnished and updated yet retains all of its original features and character with stone walls/staircase and many architectural features . Wifi included and full Sky Sports Package with UK internet TV.

Mediterranean Beaches and Cevenne Mountains both within a short drive. River beaches , canoeing ,waterfalls , other medieval villages and unique Unesco sites all within easy driving distances.

Vineyards galore /bike & walking trails. Within the village there are top quality & budget restaurants & 2 bars with the best patisserie and boulangerie in the region all within a few minutes walk. There is also a full range of shops and services in town with a local tourist information office.

There is also a small park/childrens playground/tennis courts and a village Sunday market.Boules are provided if you fancy a game with the locals.

Fantastic views over the historical centre and Pic St Loup.

Great vineyard area with renowned red local pic st loup wines which are renowned nationally.Wine tours can also be arranged.

  • The bathroom is very spacious with a corner bath, twin basins and heated towel rail. It also has a 'tree' over the bath and a small thatched roof over the basins !!

  • Bedroom 1 is on the 2nd floor and has a terrace facing south with fantastic views of the village & Pic St Loup. It is accessed up an oak spiral staircase which is not suited to people with mobility problems. Bedroom 2 (Orange Room) is the very large bedroom on the 1st floor with a small terrace ideal for breakfast in the morning sunshine or cooling off in the daytime when it is more shady . Bedroom 3 (Purple Room) on the 1st floor has a single bed with a section underneath to convert it if required into a double bed Ample wardrobes/storage in bedrooms1/2. Air conditioning in all bedrooms. Ceiling fan also in bedroom 1.

House is locally managed and has a tourist information office in the village.Air conditioning(reversible with heating in the winter) is in the 3 bedrooms and the lounge area with each unit remotely controlled. Additional heaters are also available for the winter period. There is a ceiling fan in the main bedroom as well as air conditioning. There is an automatic watering system to both terraces that waters the terrace plants in the summer period. The log fire in the lounge is a romantic addition for the winter season. The utility area has a tumble drier and washing machine. There is 1 mens mountain bike and 1 ladies mountain bike(excl helmets) stored in the utility area for use by the guests at their own risk. .

Lovely place to stay!

This holiday home has it all. It is spacious, very well equipped, airconditioned and tastefully decorated. It is the perfect place to enjoy a peaceful village life, and yet the beach and numerous touristic attractions are within short range. We really enjoyed bbq-ing on the roof terrace, watching the sun set. The place is also an excellent starting point for bicycle trips. And guess what: you don't even have to bring your bicycles, because they come with the house and you are free to use them. We really loved it here and would definitely have stayed a couple of weeks longer, if only we had the time!

Timeless charm in the heart of the village

From the moment we stepped into this delightful, traditional French home we knew we were in for a treat. This is an old town house that has been tastefully renovated, preserving original features but providing modern amenities. Our room was on the top floor, accessed by a tiny wooden spiral staircase, opening on to a balcony with the most stunning view over the rooftops to Pic St Loup. St Martin de Londres is beautiful and we really felt part of the village. Loved the square & fountain surrounded by cafe/bar, boulangerie, boucherie, restaurants. Great days out in the surrounding area - St-Guilhem-le-Desert, Nîmes, lovely uncrowded beaches and loads more to do. We'll be back!

Beautiful town house with wonderful views.

This is a gorgeous stone south of france house set in a village setting. The village is excellently equipped with shops, cafes and restaurants and sitting on the terrace watching the perseids metor shower was an absolute highlight. Would recommend.

If you are looking for a relaxed holiday in a nice French village this property is the answer. Just a short walk from the village centre this 3 bed, 1 bath property has great character and all the comforts of home.

Lots to do in the area with the coast and the Orb and Herault river valleys close by. Nice walking, cycling, food and wine.

Our house is situated in the centre of St Martin De Londres a beautiful medieval village in the South of France. We are just 20 minutes’ drive north of the fantastic Montpellier in a countryside setting 35 minutes from the Mediterranean Sea and the Cevenne mountains with picturesque scenery, rivers, gorges and miles of walks, cycle paths and acres of local vineyards.

300 days a year of sunshine on average also helps!

The house was built in the 17c and has been tastefully modernised maintaining most of its original features. The accommodation is suited to a maximum of 6 people over 3 floors with 3 bedrooms,lounge/diner,kitchen,utility area,bathroom,wc and 2 terraces.

The house has air conditioning, unlimited wifi, and is fully equipped for up to 6 people with outdoor dining on the top terrace and a barbecue.

Our minimum stay is one week with offers available for longer term lets if required.

Our upper terrace faces due south with fantastic views of the countryside,Pic St Loup mountain (top tourist attraction in Herault)  and our medieval village rooftops.

The village has a famous 12th century romanesque church and has everything you may require within a short walk including, bars, restaurants, many shops, mini supermarkets, tourist information office,park,tennis courts and an awesome pattiserie. There is also a village market on Sundays.

There are many attractions and activities locally including the lovely sandy Mediterranean beaches like the Grand Travers and Espiguette,the unique caves at Grottes de Demoiselles and Clamouse and many beautiful villages within a 20 minute drive including St Gilheum le Desert , Lunas & Lodeve.  Other must do local trips are vineyard tours and wine tastings and a visit to our new local outdoor & indoor swimming centre in St Mathieu de Treviers just 15 minutes drive away.

Visit the historical and shopping centre of Montpellier (incl the aquarium,zoo and planetarium) and the beauty of the Cirque de Navacelles  and numerous historical scenic villages locally and beyond  .In addition within an hours drive are the centres  of Beziers,Pezenas,Sete & Nimes with Marseiiles,Provence and the Carmague just a few kilometres further.

You can even reach Nice or Barcelona in 3.5hrs via the great autoroute network.

Also explore a little further afield the UNESCO world heritage sites 

•Caracassonne, in the the Aude département. 

•Canal du Midi, which flows though the Aude  and Hérault .

The Tour de France has passed through the village many times and this year is close by at Montpellier for 2 stages.

Montpellier airport can be accessed direct from Gatwick,Luton,Leeds & Dublin. Alternative airports are Nimes,Beziers,Marseilles and Toulouse.

Travel by Eurostar /tgv direct from London to Montpellier changing at Lille or Paris. Drive from Eurotunnel or ferry in approximately 10 hours.

If you wish to explore further afield using our house as a base you can fly from Montpellier to Paris, Nantes, Lyon, Basel, Amsterdam and many other cities.

In addition, there is a car ferry from Sete that goes to the Baleric Islands.

Montpellier has also great TGV links to Paris, Barcelona, Avignon, Nimes Madrid.
