About Cheryl Romano

Snow refugees left New England (Cheryl) and Minnesota (Rick) to enjoy the 4-season mild climate of the high desert.

Cheryl Romano purchased this apartment in 2004

Why Cheryl Romano chose Prescott Valley

Climate, climate, climate; location, location, location. It's central to all that Arizona has to offer, and so close to historic Prescott and its fabled charms. The property is graced with lots of trees, shrubs and flowers in season (roses, lilacs, irises, flowering plum), and the half-acre setting even has grass (a bit rare in these parts).

What makes this apartment unique

The sunset views from the in-law apartment, private patio and back yard are often spectacular. The quiet of this mostly owner-occupied neighborhood is wonderful, but nearby you can find tons of shopping, dining, entertainment, antiquing and just plain moseying around.

Saddle Up exceeded our expectations in every aspect of our stay!!!

  • 5 of 5

We could not have been more pleased with our stay at Saddle Up suite!! The suite was safe, incredibly clean, well-kept and comfortable. Our host, Cheryl, was wonderfully accommodating and ensured that we were taken care of from start to finish. Everything from the bamboo sheets to the homemade banana bread waiting for us on the counter, to the bathroom stocked with shampoo, conditioner and body washes made for a perfect experience in Prescott. We are so grateful to have found this gem and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great place to stay in the area!!! Thank you Cheryl!

Lovely getaway

  • 5 of 5

Great location, close enough to the highway, restaurants, golf, and yet in a quiet neighborhood. Love the fruit trees! We were greeted by a lovely hospitable host, helpful, respectful of our privacy. Saddle up is very clean, furnished with upgraded linens and toiletries. We will definitely be repeat guests!

Very quiet and peaceful relaxing place to visit

  • 5 of 5

This place was well appointed with water and juice in the fridge, also wine and cheese & crackers. Very clean. Also a basket of fruit in the kitchen. Plenty of towels and soap in the unit. We would definitely stay here again.

Comfy, Cozy Place To Stay!

  • 5 of 5

August 16 – 23, 2017

What can we say? Wow what a place to stay! This VRBO is nice, comfy, cozy for a party of two. We were very surprised to see how well everything was coordinated in a western theme. To say the least, it must have taken a lot of time to decorate the house so well and the bed in the bedroom was handmade and extremely comfortable. Cheryl was waiting for us when we arrived with the key and a walk thru of the apartment. Everything was clearly explained. Cheryl is a very pleasant person who continuously insured prior to our arrival that we had everything we needed. We were also asked what type of beverage we liked as well as fruit. These items were found on the counter and in the refrigerator providing us a great start on our weekly stay. Each morning, we received the daily paper. We had more than enough towels, blankets, and soaps. If you have a need to do your wash, it is very simple to share the owner’s laundry room with a simple text of the time you plan to use it. Laundry products were provided. For recreation if you have time, there is the TV, and in the bedroom, closet you will find various DVDs to watch and books to read. Cheryl was also very helpful in providing us information about the area and offered her time to discuss things with you and provide information via email for places in the area that you might like to visit.

Oh yes, one very unique opportunity we had was to hand pick fresh peaches from her trees in the backyard and you could have as many as you could eat. Speaking of the backyard, there is also a back porch to sit on and watch the sunset. This VRBO was one of the nicest we have found during our travels. On our next trip to Prescott Valley, you can be sure we will look up Saddle UP as our first choice. Thank you, Cheryl, for offering your VRBO to us and making us feel very much at home.
