Beautiful spot!
Ray’s place is a wonderful oasis of relaxation, calm and beauty. Our family really enjoyed the quiet of the space and the beautiful grounds of the home. We loved how the house was close to town but also very quiet. We would love to return again.

Lovely property in serene setting
Very comfortable and thoughtfully decorated house, well stocked with everything you might need, with a cute back porch overlooking a beautiful lawn and long pond. Ray is really attentive to his guests and makes everyone feel at home (he lent us things of his own and gave our daughter a spider plant as a parting gift). Already booked another date

Such a special time!
My husband and I wanted a few days with our oldest son before dropping him off for his Junior year at West Point. Ray's place was perfect for us! We had our own entrance to the entire lower floor of a 2 story house on the large property. The house was well equipped and thoughtfully decorated. My husband enjoyed the Hudson Valley books. I loved the big window looking out to the pond. The three of us enjoyed the fresh eggs, walking the property, sitting on the back porch, grilling one evening and simply being together. Thank you Ray!

Great location
Great location, near town but on a peaceful country spot. This old but nicely updated and furnished farmhouse had a front and a back porch.

Peaceful Birthday Getaway
A friend and I like to celebrate our April birthdays with a long weekend of rock climbing in the New Paltz area. The Farm House was perfect for this purpose and we will certainly book again in the future. Less than five min from New Paltz and it's many restaurants, yet situated in a quiet country setting, the lodging was the perfect mix of convenient and peaceful.

I design sound for the theatre. I also own and operate a sound company called Ins & Outs and we do a lot of theatre and musical events in NYC. Locally our work is more charitable within the non-profit sector. I've lived in New Paltz for 27 years and I drive a lot.

Why they chose this property

The farmhouse was built in 1911 and has a lot of character. We recently renovated it and included some really nice details . The back deck overlooks the pond and there are seasonal views of the Shawangunk Mountains. There are trails that wind through the woods and there is a wonderful bird, reptile and wildlife population.

What makes this property unique

If you've never had an egg that was laid just hours before you cooked it, you're in for a real treat.
The girls here are free-range and enjoy a pretty nice diet of natural grains and fruits and vegetables. They're quite healthy and friendly and fun to watch ! And if you have a garden at home, we would be glad to give you a bag of their poop for fertilizer, perfect for growing herbs !
