About the property

A large townhouse with en suite bath, large flat-screen tv, outdoor space, and secured parking. My home is an art gallery loaded with fine works from artist from around the world. My collection is a feast for the eyes and soul. There is also a community pool, and in-house washroom. Mine is a 2 level bed and breakfast property with the guest rooms on the second level. Your host would retain a space on the first floor for your service.

Mine is a diverse, working class community very close to ChinaTown, the Medical Center, NRG Stadium, and Ft Bend County. There is also direct access to the Museum District, and the Energy Corridor.

About John S. McNeil

I am an avid art collector and historian. I am very deep into Houston's culture scene. I am also a Bible student that cares for his home deeply, and respect's his guests. I have spent most of my adult life in the hospitality industry thus caring for visitors has become my life's work.

John S. McNeil purchased this townhome in 2012

Why John S. McNeil chose Greater Fondren Southwest

The Abbey is very special. It is a unique and beautiful art gallery in the middle of Houston's bustling SW side. The Abbey opens up the entire City of Houston and it's many sites and sounds to the traveler. The Abbey is on several bus lines, and so moving around this great Metropolis is a piece-of-cake.

What makes this townhome unique

Staying in a world class art gallery for a time is a blessing. I am sure that every guest that loves art, culture, history, and the Bible will find the Art Abbey to be The Place To Be!!

The Art Abbey is near to the Galleria shopping mall, and Houston's vibrant ChinaTown Community. Also, the Abbey is a direct shot to Houston's Museum District, and to NRG Stadium. Lakewood Church and the Texas Medical Center are but less than 7 miles away. Kemah, NASA, and Galveston are about 15 miles away, and 45 miles away respectively. The Braeswood jogging and bike trail is only feet away. There are many ethnically diverse restaurants nearby and plenty of nightlife. Art, culture, eateries, and numerous houses of worship are abundant in the community immediate to the Abbey.
