About Brenda Leavitt

We, as owners, created our family compound on Hidden Pines, which includes this Cabin in the Woods, along with Miranda's Hideaway and our log home. Rich is a builder and has built this property for a guest home for our family and friends. Now that our children are grown, we have extra bedrooms in our home for our friends, so we decided to have other guests, like you, enjoy all that we have to offer. We have lived in Fryeburg area since 1981 and have been blessed with the surroundings here of family and friends. Living on property, assures you that all your needs will be taken care of should there be a reason to contact us. We love where we live and always enjoy making new friends, yet afford you the privacy you desire.

Brenda Leavitt purchased this house in 2003

Why Brenda Leavitt chose Fryeburg

We initially moved our family to Fryeburg to enjoy all the benefits of the school systems, to include private school, Fryeburg Academy. But then we grew to love the location. We are 10 minutes from the mountains in North Conway, NH, 15 minutes from the lakes in Bridgton, ME. We love the quaintness of our community. Rich build this property as a guest house over a 2 car garage, where originally started his contracting business. Since then, we have a quaint 1 bedroom unit on the lower level, with this 2 bedroom home on the second floor. Although this is a village location, we are tucked into the woods of Hidden Pines and are surrounded by pines and fields. Right across the driveway, is a walking path right down to the "raspberry patch", where we grow raspberries during the season. We are centrally located in the village and within a moment's drive you can be at least 3 locations to enjoy breakfast should you desire to eat out. Dunkin' Donuts is less than a mile away for the coffee lovers! All the winter and summer amenities are within a moment's drive. Fryeburg Fairgrounds in less than a 2 mile drive. Fryeburg Academy is less than 1 mile away. Bike bath is right around the corner.

Guestbook comments from the owner

Beautiful place! Spotless and furnished very nicely. Lots of light. Master bedroom walk-in closet makes it easy to keep all the ski gear clutter contained. Loved our stay.

Very nice, clean and cozy.

  • 5 of 5

We spent nice time, some days off with my family. Very nice and clean house, quiet neighborhood. We visit in N,Conway HamArena, ski public, my daughter she loved it, we spent some time at the cranmore mountain, at the tube sliding, really will enjoy it, its nice for little kids. And we had a trip with santa's train, was amazing. But, in final, we just spent some couple days with kids, family, kind of family days out, from all busy cities, and our jobs. Will try to plan another one for summer time, i'm pretty sure nature is beautifull. Thank you Brenda, we recomend for everyone who wanna spent some days out with family.

Very clean and quiet

  • 5 of 5

Came for the weekend from Boston, it was very relaxing and quiet (peaceful not waking up to construction in the morning like the city). Property was very well maintained and house was very clean and cozy with everything we could have needed. Owners made us aware they were easily accessible if we needed them, but also gave us privacy. Would definately recommend this home. Only about a 15 minute drive to North Conway.

Cozy quiet 2 bedroom Fryeburg cottage in the woods...2 minute walk to downtown.

  • 4 of 5

My wife and I had a chance to share this cottage with another friend last Summer. It was the perfect combination of a quiet, wooded duplex that's literally a 2 minute walk from downtown Fryeburg, ME. It was immaculate & well stocked with coffee & breakfast selections. The beds were very comfortable & had plenty of extra sheets & blankets. What made this selection so perfect for us was that while the surroundings were completely wooded, we walked 5 minutes to a choice of downtown restaurants. The internet, TV, & cooking facilities were available & easy to use. We enjoyed the experience very much & hope to stay next year during the Fryeburg Fair week during the height of Foliage. It's a great little find !!

Owner's Response: I am always so grateful to receive such nice words! We are continuing to work to find ways to make our home(s) even more enjoyable. I just ordered some new games! We just received the carpeting in the living area and hallway. And we will continue to work hard to earn 5 star responses! Thank you! Our housekeeper Esther will be sure to be thanked for your kindness in speaking about cleanliness. Brenda
