7 bedroom farmhouse sleeps 12-18 with hot tub/Jacuzzi and solar heated pool

Les Aubepines has uninterrupted views of the surrounding rolling farmland. It has a large entrance hall/cloakroom, with a fully equipped kitchen diner off of this. There is a utility room with fridge/freezer, washing machine, dishwasher and auxiliary sink, leading from this is the ground floor bathroom, with shower over the bath. The lounge is fitted with a large wood burner, 2 quality sofas and armchairs one of the sofas is a double fold down bed, satellite TV, Hi Fi and has French doors leading out on to the extensive covered terrace and gardens. Off of this is the large master bedroom with en-suite shower room and this also has French doors leading out onto the terracing. The first floor has 2 twin bedded rooms, 2 double,1 of which is fitted with a vanity unit and another a family suite which has 1 double bed, pair of bunk beds and also a cot. There is a shower room attached to this. There is a children's bedroom fitted with bunk beds and a cot . The 1st floor bathroom has a shower over the bath. The Hot tub & swimming pool both have large decked surrounds.

An idilic location in the heart of the French countryside

This is a lovely property with a nice clean pool and hot tub. It's located in farmland which makes for lovely walks or bike rides. I particularly enjoyed my morning bike ride to the nearest village boulangerie one morning. Garth was helpful and responded quickly to our requests. Definitely recommend a stay here!

Relaxing family holiday

We were 3 families holidaying together, we all had lots of fun in the garden, pool and hot tub, we enjoyed the barbecue and there was ample seating for all of us inside and out. The bedrooms all have views of the surrounding peaceful farmland. There was lots to do in the surrounding area with lots of pretty towns, Amboise was our favourite.

Lovely

Just got back from a really relaxing week, sunshine and a quiet retreat from busy work life! Garth and Liz were accomadating, friendly and kind and gave us ideas of where to go and keep entertained. I would recommend the chateau names Chanonoseau (not sure of spelling) near Tours and going to Loche for canoeing. Easy, inexpensive days out :-)

Great stay

The gite was great. We were met by Garth on arrival and he explained all about the gite and the local area. It was exactly as the website described, very clean, modern and well maintained. The pool and hot tub was superb. Garth cleaned the pool every other day and answered any questions regarding places to visit. Neighbours were friendly and you were not overlooked by anyone. You are surrounded by farms, but only 5 minutes away from the nearest town which has a supermarket, petrol station and a few restaurants. Within 25 mins there is Loches, which has a large supermarket, a varied choice of restaurants, good local market and a few sights. Tours is just over 30 mins, this has everything, local wine makers (Vouvray is Superb) and a lake beach. You are surrounded by Chateaus and local villages which are very picturesque.

In summary this is a great place to stay to relax but you are very close to a lot of attractions. Would highly recommend it.

Peace perfect peace!

Les Aubepines is a beautiful gite surrounded by lovely views of the French countryside. It is so quiet and peaceful. The gite itself was immaculate inside with lovely furnishings. We had two families holidaying together and found that we had plenty to keep us occupied e.g with the pool, hot tub and games etc or even watch a DVD. It was nice to meet Garth, the owner, who was on hand to help with any problems. We would certainly holiday there again as a week was much too short to explore the area. Highly recommend this gite.

Peaceful, bright home

Lovely house near some wonderful places to visit. Peaceful and clean. We barbequed every night and loved spending time in the garden. The owner Garath was very helpful and there was plenty of kitchen utensils. Bring your own board games for a perfect vacation.

This is an excellent area for châteaux, including Chinon, Loches, Amboise, Azay le Rideau, Chenonceau, Villandry, Langeais, Blois, Chambord, Rigny Ussy (apparently the inspiration for 'Sleeping Beauty'), Valencay and Montresor. Some châteaux also perform Son et Lumiere shows during certain evenings of the holiday season. Futuroscope - An excellent day out for all the family, about 50 minutes away, it gives you the magic of 3D, virtual reality simulator rides and circular cinemas together, with a glimpse into the future of communication technology. Loches is nearby, with dungeons to visit as well as the château, busy markets on Saturday and Wednesday and several night markets taking place in August. Descartes - Once home to the philosopher René Descartes, boasts an excellent selection of activities including tennis, canoeing, crazy golf, fishing and a heated outdoor 25m swimming pool complete with children's pool, play area, flumes and café. Sunday Morning is market day worth a visit.
