'La Capiol Retreat' is located in the village of Cenac close by to the river Dordogne, Domme and Sarlat.

This lovely Perigordian Property with plenty of Character, consists of 3 bedrooms (two of which have Air Conditioning), and will sleep 6 comfortably.

There are 2 bathrooms.

A large open plan Lounge\Diner and kitchen, provides comfort and lovely views across the valley.

The house is very well equipped to a high standard, with all the necessary facilities.

Wi-Fi Internet access is also available.

The property is Centrally Heated along with a traditional wood burner if your stay is during the winter months.

All towels and linen are provided.

The house is located on a private road, in a very quiet position with no passing traffic.

There are two gardens. The upper terraced garden offering shade from the heat of the sun, has steps that lead down to the main garden.

Both offering privacy and splendid views.

An ideal location for exploring this beautiful region!

Climate: Weather in the Dordogne is typically warm and hot, with plenty of sunshine hours.

That's not to say it never rains! The thunderstorms can be quite spectacular too!

Winter temperatures are usually mild, but can get to below -5c on occasions.

Spring and Autumn temperatures range from 20c to 28c, whilst Summer temperatures range from 25c to 35c

The tourist season typically starts from June through to the end of September, while the main attractions remain open through the early to mid part of October.

Of course, there are still many places and restaurants etc, that are open all year round.

The Winter and Autumn months offer their own unique sights and colours of the seasons, albeit in a quieter time of the year, but the Scenery is just as stunning!

Wonderful!

Where do I start?

Location - perfect, accommodation - lovely, facilities - you would want for nothing!, Locals - incredibly welcoming.

I could go on with a long list of plaudits.

We loved taking the evening air watching the hot air balloons against the backdrop of stunning sunsets.

The river with all the facilities you could ask for is a ten minute stroll, while Domme is also about ten minutes, but it is a brisk uphill. Maybe not for the infirm but no big drama to get to.

A wonderful house in a central location

La Capiol Retreat is a perfect holiday home.

It’s equipped to be home from home and feels like it from the moment you arrive.

The location has stunning views and the house is central located to take advantage of tourist hot spots in all directions.

The air con in the bedrooms was very useful and the garden offers tranquil terraces to enjoy relaxed dining and perhaps a few glasses of wine.

Myself, my wife and our 3 boys loved our time in La Capiol Retreat, Cenac and would certainly recommend it.

Lovely Property in a Lovely Location

This is our third return to the Dordogne area in 10 years, and this property has been the best.

The property is close to all amenities, a good walking area without having to use the car.

Canoeing a few minutes walk away, and wonderful Chateaus Markets and lots lots more to visit.

The upper terrace garden at the property was a superb place to eat and enjoy a glass of wine in the evening and watch the sun go down.

Lovely Property in a Lovely Location!

We have visted France for over 30 years, staying in lots of properties and this was one of the best.

When it was nice enough, we sat outside drinking beer (or fizz) and when it was cooler, it was great to have the heating.

Very well equipped property with a lovely bakery just at the bottom of the hill. We walked to Domme 3 times - bit steep for the unfit but well worth the effort!

Our "kids" (27 and 29) walked to Chateau Castellnaud and thoroughly enjoyed the experience.

Would definitely recommend!

Great house in a perfect location

We had a lovely week in La Capiol, stunning views from the terrace and walking distance to the river for canoe trips.

Nick, the owner couldn't have been more helpful, with information and advice on the local area.

Cenac has all that you could need without getting in the car and Domme has some great restaurants, notably "La Cabanoix" and the pizzeria, which has a beautiful outside seating area full of flowers.

The house is extremely well equipped and the air con a real bonus.

Lovely House in a Great Location!

We stayed the last week in July to the 1st week in August with five adults.

The weather was fantastic as was the house.

Great location and handy for everything.

Lots of places to eat in the village, although we found the local Thai restaurant very good for both food and service.

The local supermarket is within walking distance if you feel like eating in, but don’t get caught out on a Sunday when they close at 1200 hrs.

Cannot say anything negative regarding this property or the owners, who have been great to deal with.

'La Capiol Retreat' is situated in the beautiful village of Cénac, on an elevated position commanding lovely views across the valley.

It is in an ideal location from which to explore the delights of this region.

The bastide village of Domme is only a short walk from the house via a nearby path.

The Beautiful medieval town of Sarlat is a 10 minute drive away.

The River Dordogne meanders at the edge of the village and is easily reached by foot, only a 10 minute walk from the house.

Enjoy a picnic, and even have a swim in the shallow waters adjacent to the river bank.

The picturesque villages of Beynac and La Roque are also very close by.

Cénac itself has Restaurants, Bars and a range of useful shops, including a Bakery, Butcher, Post Office and Supermarket

and all within easy walking distance.

There are many lovely villages to visit in the immediate area, so very little driving is required to start exploring.

Or Simply relax in the quiet surroundings of the property.
