About this property

The Yellow House of Raleigh is near NCSU

Read the entire description before booking this house it may not be for you.
Just 6.8 miles to the city center of Raleigh and 6 miles to the NCSU, sits on this
2-acre lot, a retreat, designed from the original plan, The Dream House, 1994 issue of Life Magazine by a famous architect from N.Y, Robert Stern, this house has been a great place for living as well as family gatherings. We would like to invite you and stay at Country Escape and create memories with your family while in Raleigh. Most of things you need are provided. Outdoor games are also available like badminton and bean toss bags. There is a foosball, a poker table that could be converted as a bumper table in the bonus room. Outside, is a large deck and a dining table good for a party of 12. Great place to gather with family and friends. In the evening, you can plug in the hanging lights for festive atmosphere.
The main house has 3 bedrooms and a 4th bedroom in the basement. There is also a 340 sq ft bonus room in the attic and a nanny room adjacent to the Master bedroom located on the first floor. There is a trundle bed (2 single beds) in the Nanny room.. NO UNREGISTERED GUEST. Extra people will result in penalty of $30/p a
4th bedroom in the basement is a 500 sq ft room with an queen bed and a sofa bed. .
There is also a full refrigerator for now. There is an ensuite bathroom for that room. You may also enjoy the gas fire pit in the yard. Romantic as well as fun for the whole family. You have to ask the hosts to use it for further instructions.
House has a water filtration throughout the house and doubled it with a water purifier, triple reverse osmosis, great for drinking and cooking. Use the small faucet in the kitchen for drinking and cooking.
Owner of the house is under treatment of severe allergies, so we have an air purifier for the house. We left it out for you, and we have our own for our use. Please be mindful of not imposing us to sacrifice my health or the other guests who may have the same issue to sacrifice our health to make a special treatment for you. Our house does not have a separate area dedicated for ADA service dogs, but you have other choices of houses who will allow dogs. Thank you.
The owners live in the mother-in-law quarters. It is in the left wing of the basement and is very private from the house. It's set up like a townhouse, your rental and ours, with complete privacy. You probably will hardly see us unless we happened to be going out and you happened to be in the yard. We will respect your privacy and will be away most of the time. But we are always available if needed for any problems that may occur during your stay. We do have some stuff in the garage but will ask your permission to get in if needed anything for the garden or tools.
The house is in a secluded area and is close to an equestrian where you can enjoy your daily walk.
Please make sure you read the terms and conditions of your rental agreement before booking. You will be asked to return the attached agreement before you get your access. I need the copy of current driver's license with the agreement.

NC State Homecoming Weekend
5 of us NC State alumni gathered in the Big Yellow House for our annual football game weekend reunion. Not only were we able to enjoy our Wolfpack win a big game against Clemson, we had a wonderful time reconnecting and especially enjoyed our time on the large deck. Quiet neighborhood, roomy house and very comfortable beds throughout. Felt like we were out in the country but still close proximity to NC State and downtown Cary. Enjoyed it all! Thanks to our wonderful host!

My husband and I are two active older couple who love meeting people. We also like to travel and explore new places, always on the go either volunteering or just having an adventure. We care enough to make your stay very pleasant and make it a home to come to when away from home.

Why they chose this property

Although this house is located in an exciting mix of businesses,(ABC Corp office, SAS) restaurants, entertainments,(Koka Booth, Walnut Creek Amphitheatre, PNC Arena, State Fairground, research (RTP), education, (NCSU, Campbell University, Meredith College), Downtown Raleigh, and Nightlife, we are next to horse farms.

What makes this property unique

This house is in a secluded area surrounded by trees quiet and peaceful. The deck is mostly enjoyed to relax and picnic with family and friends. You can walk to the equestrian (.4 miles) for your daily walks with no fear of busy traffic. The only vehicles coming and going are residents of the area.
