Luxury property, large sun terraces, communal pool, private off road parking

Updated: 05-Sep-2016
Spacious 3 bed townhouse, sleeps 6, beautiful Spanish town of Lebrija near Jerez

A spacious two-storey townhouse of 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms. The house is located in a fabulous spot opposite the pool. Beautifully decorated and well equipped, it is set in a small private development with communal pool (please check opening dates when booking). Ideal for families or couples, the house has extensive sun terraces on ground floor and rooftop with stunning views to the surrounding vineyards and town of Lebrija. Those less mobile will find the ground floor bedroom and shower room useful and the first floor master bedroom, twin bedroom and family bathroom make ideal family accommodation. The wide staircase to the first floor gives a airy and bright feel to the living area. A few minutes walk on level pavements reveals a good selection of local shops, bars/cafes and only a little further is Lebrija town centre with its colourful and lively plazas and quaint streets. It offers an excellent choice of well priced restaurants and tapas

Hi Derek

I just wanted to let you know that we had a lovely week in your house. The house itself was immaculately clean and had everything we could want.

We thoroughly enjoyed Lebrija - what a pretty town, and the locals appreciated our attempts to speak Spanish and loved Jessy and Jesua's Canarian accents!

We found it a great base to explore the surrounding areas.

Many thanks

Home from home property in a beautiful location

  • 5 of 5

We spent a gloriously relaxing, gloriously sunny couple of weeks here in August. It's a beautiful house, furnished and equipped as a home from home, spotlessly clean with good wifi and aircon. The views from the roof are gorgeous and we spent several lazy evenings up there catching the late sun and enjoying long, lazy bbqs.

There's a lovely little pool over the road from the house that we had almost exclusive use of - ideal for a cool down after a day out. It's a short walk into town with supermarkets, shops, cafes and restaurants. Very local, very Spanish but still very welcoming. We'd pop in to eat or just grab an ice cream or drink after our BBQ and sit in the main square people watching.

Out and about, there are great sandy beaches nearby plus a big waterpark and one day we even drove to Gibraltar to see the apes and take a dolphin watching trip. Cadiz is a beautiful city, easy to get to from the house and with plenty to do and see.

The year before this holiday, we'd done a fully inclusive with kids club so we wondered how our two young girls (and us) would manage without organised entertainment on hand - but we needn't have worried, we had a fabulous, very chilled time and they loved it. I managed to read a couple of books, we watched a few DVDs and came back with lovely deep tans from spending so much time outside, feeling super relaxed - so highly recommend both the house and the area. This was our 4th holiday in the region - we love the fact it feels so authentically Spanish and chilled - but I think this was the best accommodation we've had yet.

Away from the rat race - a treasured find!

  • 5 of 5

We would highly recommend this lovely home for a holiday of comfort and excellent amenities. The local village, a short walk away, is typically Spanish and showcases the strong community values. Evenings are a pleasurable experience of eating and drinking local specialities and watching the folks enjoying their family lives. Everything was such good value and cheap by UK standards.

The house is as described and has everything you could want. With roof top, balcony or patio to sit out on you are spoilt for choice. If cooking at home is your thing then the local supermarket is really excellent with a wide variety of fish as crazy prices (cheap!).

A great base from which to explore the area with Cadiz, Jerez and Seville within easy reach. Horse racing on the beach, flamenco, Sherry houses and great markets there is something for everyone. Bar Madrid offers wifi connections and such friendly service a great place to start and finish the day. We couldn't fault anywhere that we ate and loved the fact that no one spoke any English!

A wonderful holiday was had by all.

The whole experience has been fab from the information shared before booking to letting us in the house 3 hours earlier than expected! Loads of towels and sunbeds and a beautifully clean home.

Owner's Response: Thank you very much for this lovely review. I am glad you enjoyed the house and I will pass on your very kind comments regards cleanliness to our cleaners who work hard to keep the house in first class condition for all our guests. Great care and attention has been taken with the furnishing of the house to ensure it is both comfortable and well equipped so thank you for commenting on that. As you say, the terraces and patios are ideal as you can move round all day with the sun and the views from the roof top terrace are stunning. Sun down is a particularly pretty time of the evening when you can see for miles over the open countryside and the vinyards and of course it is the best time of day to have a few samples of the local wines and sherries. Delighted to read that you found the town of Lebrija charming and good value for money. The locals pride themselves on keeping the town clean and in good order and the local shop keepers are extremely friendly and helpful to all visitors to the area. As you say, little English is spoken but that is half of the fun and we are at the end of a phone line if anyone does need a quick translation. All the produce is fresh and local and in some cases it is literally hours from when it leaves the field to when it is on sale to the public. Much of the fish comes from just along the coast at Sanlucar de Barrameda so it is the daily catch you are buying. We are always happy to assist clients with any queries they have before arrival as we feel it makes their stay all the more relaxed if they know about some of the local sights to see and where to get the daily necessities of life. No problem to let you in early, we do our best to accommodate all requested times of arrival. I do hope you will visit Lebrija again, you will be very welcome. Best regards

We have just returned from a fabulous holiday in Lebrija, staying at this really lovely villa with everything we could need. The villa is well equipped, very clean, spacious, and very comfortable (especially the beds). There is plenty of outside space to use with 3 terraces on different levels, though the airconditioning was a welcome respite in the heat of the afternoon. The pool is a few metres away across from the villa, perfect for our toddler and 10 yr old and considering we were there in peak season, not too busy.

The town is an easy 10 minute walk away, with a great supermarket (excellent fish counter) and plenty of cafes and restaurants. The place comes alive in the evening, with families out enjoying the cooler weather.

We visited the Aqua Park, Seville and Jerez, all within easy reach but there are lots of other places to visit and explore in the region. There is a plethora of information available in the villa.

We met lots of locals (English and Spanish) who were really friendly and helpful which made our holiday even more enjoyable.

Overall, we had a fantastic break and hope to go back again soon.

Holiday In the Sun

  • 5 of 5

Situated within easy reach of Seville and Beaches. There is also a swimming pool some 50 metres from the house for the use of residents which is a great place to cool down in the summer heat. Getting around by car was straight forward and the roads very good.

The house was very clean and fully equiped with towels including beach towels. The roof terrace was fantastic especially for lazing around with a cold beer watching the sun go down over the Andalucian hills. There was also satellite TV and a DVD player to keep our Son entertained in between swimming and trips out.

Fantastic Beaches 30 or so mins away near Chipiona with easy parking and beach side cafes. Aqualand Water Park in Bahia de Cadiz is ideal for children and those young at heart (25 mins away).

There is a theme park (Isla Magica) in Seville (hours drive) which again is great for kids and has a number of water rides to keep you cool (you will get wet).

The local town is not a tourist spot and the locals are friendly. There are plenty of Tapas Bars and Resturants the pick of which are probably Cafe Lechuga and Cafe Le Quema but all are good and reasonably priced. The local supermarket stocks all you are likely to need and has a huge fresh fish counter with great variety and at a fraction of the cost you pay in the UK. There is also a daily indoor market in the town centre where you can buy fresh fruit, veg, fish and meat.

With or without children there is plenty to see and do and would recommend it to anyone who wants to see the real Spain.

We had a wonderful stay in Lebrija, Spain. Lebrija is a non-touristy town that is within easy driving distance of Seville, Cadiz, and Jerez. The townhouse was immaculately clean and well equipped. It was also nicely decorated. The views from the rooftop terrace were spectacular. The townhouse fit our family of 4 nicely and there was still a spare bedroom that we didn't use. The booking process was easy. The owner met us when we checked into the townhouse and gave good advice on traveling and local restaraunts. We had a lovely stay in Spain and would recommend this townhouse. Makesure you bring a Spanish phrase book!

Fabulous holiday. The perfect place to stay for a cultural holiday in the province of Andalusia Spain. The accommodation was excellent with every home comfort that you could desire: - very spacious, modern furnishings, very comfortable beds. The patio just off the kitchen area is fully furnished for al fresco dining, complete with a parasol; all this makes for enjoyable meals to be had in comfort. In fact the property cannot be faulted. There is a swimming pool just over the way, small but very clean and perfect for a dip and swim and it is surrounded by a grassed area for sunbathing but being very close and with our own roof top patio for sunbathing this was not needed. Situated in the perfect setting on the edge of the town of Lebrija overlooking the countryside, the views from the roof top patio were spectacular. The centre of Lebrija is approx a 10-minute slow stroll and the nearest supermarket is a 5-minute stroll. The supermarket is stocked to perfection, the fresh fish counter was out of this world with every fish you could wish for and the fresh bread was delicious. Also in the centre of Lebrija is the most picturesque indoor market with fresh vegetable and meats and fish etc, etc, we had loads of fun with the stall holders who could not do enough for us, we even received free herbs for our menus, very enjoyable experience. Shops and restaurants in Lebrija were very good and the prices were not the usual tourist price, in fact the cost of eating out was good value for money, the tapas selection being our favourite was even cheaper.

The countryside around Lebrija is very flat as is this part of the province of Andalusia with good roads for driving and all places are easily accessible. The beaches of the province were excellent, white sands very wide and lovely clean seas, we did swim in the sea even though it was May, cold to get into but very nice once in. The beach at Chipiona is approx 30 mins by car and is excellent.

We did a lot of travelling by rail, the service was first class the trains were modern and very clean and punctual, there is a rail station in Lebrija not far from the accommodation. We went by train to both Cadiz and Seville and found the experience very enjoyable. Both Cities are not to be missed, a cultural delight, you could easily spend a few days in Seville,so much to see and do.The spectacular cathedral of Seville took our breath away. This holiday was one of our best. Highly recommended.A spanish phrase book would help.

Activity and Interests

Nearest Airport : Jerez de la Frontera at 20 Kilometres Nearest Train : Lebrija at 3 Kilometres Nearest Motorway : at 6 Kilometres Car: recommended

Lebrija while being an ancient site with a history dating back to the Pheonicians is a lively, friendly and relatively unspoilt Spanish town offering a good selection of restaurants, cafes, tapas and wine bars. Flamenco is a big part of life in Lebrija, with many of the famous Spanish flamenco singers and dancers coming from this area. The music and dancing can be seen daily in the many bars around the town and impromptu sessions start up when the 'fino' starts to flow. Due to its excellent location on the Cadiz/Seville regional border it gives easy access to the Costa de la Luz and the cities of Jerez, Seville and Cadiz. The road network and local train station provide fast, cheap and efficient transport to all the main tourist sites. The stunning beaches of Sanlucar, Chipiona and Rota are all within easy reach and are popular with windsurfers and swimmers. The beautiful mountains of the Sierra Grazalemas are nearby and are popular with walkers/hikers & birdwatchers alike.
