About the Owner

I live in Portugal but when the opportunity came up to buy a house in this complex right by the sea I could not resist.

The house was extremely well built by a couple who have their own house in the same complex. So it is in their interests to keep the complex looking smart, and well maintained.

The views from the villa is beautiful

  • 1 of 5

The sea view from the villa was amazing, but unfortunately I didn't think it was safe for young childrens. Most of the of things in the villa was broken for instance the lampshades was broken and taped around it which didn't look safe at all, the breakfast bar chair was broken with sharp plastic corners and when we turn the toaster on the whole villa electricity went off because it was broken. The washing machine wasn't working when i told the manager at first she said she will send someone to look at it, next day she sent me email saying i emailed catherine about it and waiting to hear from her. six days later she emailed me saying it will be delivered today, we waited all day no washing machine. I emailed her again and told her about it and said if she could send us parasol because it was broken. since then we had nothing from her not even goodbye when we left. Very sorry to say that the bathroom smells disgusting i had to go and buy air fresheners to use the bathrooms.

'Not suitable for young children's '

  • 1 of 5

This villa is crying for attention, majority of the stuff were broken lucky I don't have any young kids. This people don't know what is safety they taped the lampshades, left the broken breakfast bar chairs unattended and the toaster was broken inside, it turned the whole villa's electricity off. The washing machine was broken and manager emailed me saying it's coming today we stayed home waited all day but no washing machine, we went on holidays to enjoy not wait for deliveries. I emailed her but since then I haven't heard anything from her, no apologies or even goodbye.

However the view from the villa was amazing.

Owner's Response: A reply from the house manager:- " I am a bit surprised with the hard reaction of Nazma.... Some of the lampshades are a little loose. We checked to see if the light bulbs work and exchanged them where necessary; The toaster did not blow up the electricity -otherwise we would know - and it takes an electrician to come in... - but Nazma did report me that the toaster was old and she did not want to use it so I bought a new one at Marjane which I mailed you about.... A new washing machine has been bought and it has been installed at the villa. I don't know why the bathrooms were smelling, but they are absolutely NOT disgusting... but it could be the wind over night but still not that dramatic as they take showers in the morning. As I quoted your request, I could not quote a 4 as they where quite messy for a group of only 3... We had to remove a lot of hair out of the drain... She asked me for extra parasols, and that we don't have, as you have a parasol. I communicated very well with them (as I included you in the mailings) especially about her check out; and I am always very polite with everybody, but I can not go and say goodbye early in the morning or late in the evening as you understand.... " As an owner I consider myself fortunate to have my manager in place to look after the house. She does a good job and this is the first time I have ever had a negative report on my home in Morocco.

Peaceful Idylic location

  • 5 of 5

What can I say about this villa. It's perfect to relax, take in sunshine and of course the sea waves.

The villa is very clean and bright. It's very quiet which is what we needed to concentrate on our work while enjoying the sunny weather with sea views. It was little cold but better than weather at home in Feburary.

Fathima was excellent house keeper and her traditional food was unbelievable.

Cathrine was very approachable, friendly, and open to our suggestions regarding our long stay at her villa.

We found the villa to be very safe as the security guard is around 24 hours which was very helpfully for our grandchildren. They were able to walk down to the beach with no fear of being met with strangers.

I would definitely recommend this villa to anyone who wants to getaway from busy city life to this paradise.

I would have no hasitaion in recommending this villa to my family and friends.

Once again thank you very much Catharine for all your help in making this holiday perfact.

Mrs. Hussain

Beautiful, quiet house in a charming area

  • 4 of 5

We had a lovely time at this house. It is spacious, clean, and tastefully furnished.

We were there as a family, two adults and two young children (ages 4 + 6), and the layout would have easily accommodated another couple or small family. The pictures are accurate, you have amazing views of the ocean from both floors and you have almost instant access to the beach from the back of the house. The pool and garden were maintained every day and in perfect condition. A cleaning lady kept the house clean and tidy, and even cooked us a fabulous tagine one night.

Unfortunately it was too cold to use the pool much, but that may have been because we went early in the season.

The house is one of several budding developments along this part of the coast, there are some houses nearby and others being built higher up on the hill. It was still perfectly quiet the whole time and we always had the beach to ourselves. We didn't know what to expect of the region when we chose it, we just wanted a quiet, non-touristy, beach vacation near Agadir, and this fit the bill. The beaches in the area are gorgeous and uncrowded (Legzira is stunning!) The nearby towns and villages (Tiznit, Mirleft), are pleasantly small and off-the-beaten path, perfect for small excursions with young children. We enjoyed exploring the artisanal shops at Mirleft; shopping for olives and other groceries at the traditional souks in Tiznit and Sidi Ifni; and having a delicious, if simple, meal of grilled fish and steak at Club Evasion.

The only negatives I would list is that the house was poorly stocked with basics -- although that may have been because we were the first visitors of the season, so we had to buy oil, sugar, dish detergent, additional toilet paper, and anything else we needed. Also, some of the plumbing and appliances didn't work, but the manager of the development was very friendly and quick to help out. (The washing machine wasn't working, for example, so she sent over someone who picked up our laundry and returned it very quickly, clean.) The internet worked perfectly and the house had plenty of pots and pans, towels, etc.

Overall, we had a wonderful time and very much enjoyed dealing with the owner, the property manager and the resort staff. I would definitely recommend this house.

Great family holiday

  • 5 of 5

All had a great holiday thanks. Fab weather and a fabulous house - everyone we have shown the photos to has been very jealous. Very relaxing - missing my sea view with the fishing boats bobbing up and down. Kids spent the whole two weeks either in the pool or the sea jumping in the waves - great for surfing. Everything was perfect - owner and local agent very helpful and the cleaner very friendly.
