Galleons Way is a detached 4 bedroomed property sleeping up to 8 people, with outstanding sea views across Mevagissey Bay. Situated in a large secluded garden, 5 minutes walk (500yds) from the harbour, shops, restaurants, pubs etc. in Mevagissey, 7 minutes walk (600yds) from the sandy beach at Portmellon with pub and free public slipway.

On a level approach from the drive, all the living accommodation is on one level, with games room below. An enclosed garden surrounds the property with lawns, patio, BBQ, garden furniture & sea views. Parking for several cars and boat. Games room with pool table, table tennis, darts etc. Free wifi Internet access.

Lovely house with fantastic view

The house is a 5 to 10 minute walk from the harbour village. The view from the house is amazing. We went with our two children (aged 5 and 8) and there is the added benefit of a large garden and great playroom with table tennis, table football, small pool table plus other games.

The house is ideally places for many attractions like the Eden project and the lost gardens of Helligan.

If you are unfamiliar with driving in Cornwall then there are many towns with very narrow streets and Mevagissey is no exception. Also parking in Mevagissey is all pay and display so best to park at home and walk into town or take a bundle of coins.

A real home from home

We travelled as a party of 4 so we had ample room in this beautifully presented bungalow. The owners were on hand to greet us when we arrived. They showed us round and made sure we knew where everything was so that our holiday would run smoothly. The bungalow itself is fabulous and is in a stunning location with marvellous views in every direction. Access is all on one level (ideal as one of our party has mobility issues). There is plenty of off road parking space. The kitchen is very well equipped, there is a separate utility room, separate dining area and a very comfortable lounge. There are even 3 TVs so you don't all have to watch the same thing!! The games room is exceptionally well equipped, there is also a barbeque and sunloungers to use if you're lucky with the weather. The owners have thought of everything. The village is just a few minutes walk down the hill (a bit longer needed to get back up but worth it!) and has a good selection of places to eat and lots of nice individual shops. It is also a central point from which to explore the rest of Cornwall so is an ideal base. All in all we had a wonderful relaxing holiday at Galleons and will certainly return as soon as possible. Thank you Pat & Rob for making our holiday so enjoyable.

Easter Egg hunting in Mevagissey

Fabulous garden, perfect for Easter Egg hunting, and hide and seek in general. We spent a lot of time playing in the garden, which with a willful 2 year old escapologist was a god-send, safe and with lots of secret hiding places.

House was clean and well equipped, with pretty much everything you could wish for. We enjoyed using this as a base to explore a part of Cornwall we've not been to before. Many local delights, lovely beaches, and the fresh fish from the harbour is to die for.

Thanks for a great stay and a lovely holiday. Super friendly and helpful owners made booking and checking in a pleasure.

Fantastic House Beautiful Views

Just wanted to say thank you for the time we spent at Galleons Way from the 3rd Sept 11 - the house was extremely well equipped, very clean, spacious and comfortable.

We booked through Holiday Lettings, but I am sure you would get the same fantastic service through this website.

Nothing had been overlooked in ensuring all our needs were provided for right down to the smallest detail.

We enjoyed the games room and made full use of this which was great especially on the wet evenings!

The views over the garden were breathtaking what a sight to wake up to in the mornings!

Highly recommended.

GalleonsWay is 5 minutes walk (500yds) from the harbour at Mevagissey, which has excellent fishing from the extended lighthouse quay, and off the beach and rocks. Various fishing trips and boat hire available. A passenger ferry runs to Fowey during the season . Diving, water sports, sailing etc. Tennis courts and village sports centre, model railway and fascinating museum, plenty of pubs, restaurants, tea rooms, takeaways, craft shops, pottery, churches, bank, post office etc. Portmellon Beach (600yds away) is safe for swimming and great for rock pools! There is a free public slipway and pub serving food. Within a 10 minute drive there are many sandy beaches to discover.

Beautiful coastal walks, sandy beach at Portmellon and Polstreath. Golf, cycling and riding all within easy reach. Centrally located on the South Cornish coast. National Trust properties and gardens within easy reach, 10 miles Eden Project, 2 miles Lost Gardens of Heligan.

Other Activities: bowles, activity centre, cinema, museum, small aquarium, boat trips, ferry to Fowey, pottery and art galleries, model railway.
