This spacious and newly renovated 76 square meter ( 818 sq.ft) 2-bedroom apartment is located at Rue du Faubourg Saint-Denis in the 10th arrondissement, on the 6th floor of a 19th century building with elevator, security code, & intercom. The apartment is bright and sun filled, with a view on the sky and Paris rooftops.
The apartment is in the heart of Paris a few steps away from le Marais, rue Montorgueil and Canal Saint Martin with easy access to all parts of the City. There are two Vélib stations (low cost City bike rental) on the block. Both Gare du Nord (Eurostar to London, Thalys to Bruxelles and Amsterdam, RER B to airport Charles de Gaulle) and Gare de l’Est (East-European TGV to Reims, Strasbourg, Luxembourg and Frankfurt) are at a walking distance (7 to 10 mn). Subway : Strasbourg Saint-Denis; Gare de l’Est - Lines : 4; 5; 7; 8; 9.
The street is a picturesque and colorful market street with many food stores to buy croissants, bread, meat, fish, and vegetable.

This wonderful rental matched exactly as described. The location is great for those who like mingling with the locals. A 15-20 minute metro ride to the Louvre. The flat is clean and well maintained. The owner took time to show us the local establishments and directions which was well appreciated. I would recommend the property to anyone who likes the urban city life. We visted the Le Du Cafe' every morning for coffee prior to our trip the museums. There are plenty of markets and cafe's to eat out or just dine in. I look forward to returning to this property soon!
A great experience overall!
My husband and I shared this apartment with a single friend for a week, and we were very happy with our choice. The rooms are light and spacious, storage space was ample, and the kitchen was very well equipped. Appliances were modern and easy to use, and included a clothes dryer as well as a washer. The location of the apartment was ideal, quite central - a 15 minute walk to the Place de la Republique - and a short block to the nearest Metro stop. There are excellent markets for produce, meat, cheese, bread, wine, whatever is needed, along with numerous cafes and restaurants. There was really no need to go anywhere else, although it was very easy to do so.
The owners were very helpful and friendly. Etienne met us at the apartment and took me for an orientation tour around the neighborhood, pointing out good restaurants and the nearest Metro stop. We had one problem the day after we checked in - the elevator broke - and he had it repaired right away, and called later to be sure it had been taken care of.
The neighborhood is ethnically diverse, with lots of Turkish and Greek food, but also very French. It was lively at night, but in a good way. We never felt uncomfortable walking around at night. Even though we were there the week after the Paris attacks, we never felt unsafe.
Our only disappointment was that the half bath had no lavatory, only a toilet. The three of us had to share the full bath more than we had planned on doing.
Overall, we were very satisfied with the property and would be happy to rent it again.
Great apartment in Paris
The apartment was well equipped and we used the kitchen, washer, dryer, and dish washer a lot during our week stay. The apartment is on a nice street with lots of fruit stands, small supermarkets, and a couple butcher shops. The apartment itself is very charming and the beds were comfortable. Metro stop was a block away. We had a few issues with the elevator breaking but the owners were very responsive and easy to get a hold of. The owners were great and explained all about the apartment on checkin, and even helped take down our luggage when our taxi arrived. The elevator repair guy was usually there early next morning solving the problem. We felt very safe in the building. Street at night was very quiet and easy to sleep. The only thing we saw on the street were a lot of unemployed immigrants standing around that concerned by wife and daughters. Nice corner restaurants in the área for lunch and happy hour.
My wife & I spent 8 nights at this beautiful flat in a very busy area of Paris. When we 1st arrived, we were a little apprehensive about the amount of activity in the area, but always felt safe. The flat has everything you will need to enjoy your stay & was very clean. It is also close to a lot of the attractions we all go to Paris to see. We rode bicycles a lot of the time & there was a rental station right next door. I would recommend this to anyone & would definetly stay here again!

Elevator was very beneficial. Apartment had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The neighborhood was friendly and 1 block away from a Metro station that was convenient. Owners were very kind and helpful.
