A wonderful top floor duplex apartment 2 minutes walk from the Arenal sandy beach of Javea with breathtaking views over the majestic mountain known as Montgo. The fully furnished apartment has 3 bedrooms, two bathrooms, a large covered balcony to enjoy meals al fresco and an enormous terrace on the 2nd level ideal for private sunbathing, living room, dining room and a fully equipped kitchen. You can enjoy a stroll to the beach, restaurants, shops, or relax on the rooftop balcony in total privacy. The complex has beautiful grass gardens with a very large feature swimming pool and outdoor jaccuzi, private tennis courts, squash courts and a gym. A private secure underground car park with remote control access and also has a private store to lock up large personal belongings such as windsurfers. The complex also boasts a 5 star restaurant with fine dining offering romantic views over the marina. Note: After a client complained about the size of the 2nd shower upstairs, we have taken this on board, and in February 2015 have renovated the shower to make it larger. There is of course also the main shower/bath in the downstairs bathroom.

LOVELY APARTMENT AND FANTASTIC VACATION

We are a family with 2 children (11 and 9) We stayed from March 28th until April 4 and had a fantastic week! We love the place! The apartment is just perfect, very clean, comfortable and with everything you may need to have a great time. The booking and payment were quick and safe so I just can say thanks a lot to Sue, the owner, who is very nice and helpful to talk to. Hope we can repeat the experience next year!!!

Fantastic Holidays Will Return Next Year !

We stayed two weeks at this duplex apartment in June 2014 and had a wonderful time. The weather was perfect, the sandy beach was only a minute's walk away, with all the bars and restaurants to die for. The complex was great, with a huge swimming pool and a jacuzzi which comes on at certain times of the day, lots of tennis played, and even time to work out in the gym finishing up with a nice hot sauna. Spending lots of private time sun-bathing on the upstairs terrace was special, and great views of the mountain. A private store belonging to the apartment in the underground car park was a great asset so we could leave all our beach gear including windsurfers, and parking the car there felt secure and meant we were always guaranteed parking ! The apartment was generously furnished, making it feel like home from home, with plenty of space. All the British TV channels made for a cosy evening on the rare nights we spent in. Totally fulfilled all our expectations and have already booked up to come back next year !

Shame about the beds

Having stayed in Nou Fontana for the previous 3 years, we already knew how wonderful the complex and location were. We decided to have a change of apartment this year and sadly regret our decision. The beds in the apartment resemble camping beds and are incredibly uncomfortable. This is not something you expect to find in a property of this standard and sadly stopped any of us having a comfortable nights sleep. The double bed frame sits above the height of the thin mattress and sqeeks at the slightest move, there is also no dressing table to put any hairdryer or any such items on. The sitting room has the television behind the sofas making watching impossible for most of our family of 5. The shower in the upstairs bathroom is so small my 14 year old son, who is over 6ft, could hardly fit in. We adore Javea and the Arenal but expect a much better standard of comfort and furnishings especially for these rates.

Owner's Response: Dear Clare, We are most concerned that you found your stay uncomfortable, it is the first time we have received a complaint like this, and we will definitely strive to tackle the points you mentioned. We regularly change out all the mattresses every 2-3 years. We put new mattresses in about 18 months ago, so maybe we need to review this. Our sincerest apologies. We have not placed a dressing table in the downstairs bedroom as there are plenty of drawers and cupboard space in the downstairs bathroom from where you can do your hair and makeup. Also there is a hair dryer in the upstairs bathroom, attached to the wall. There is, however, a desk and mirror in one of the upstairs bedrooms, which can double up as an office space and/or dressing table. The upstairs shower is admittedly on the smaller size, which will easily accommodate a Spaniard's physique, but maybe too small for a British person who is generally taller than most Spaniards, but, saying that, there is a shower and bath tub in the downstairs bathroom. We have looked at trying to instal a larger shower upstairs but really there is no other configuration that would work, plumbing wise. I guess the architect had in mind spending more time outside whilst on holiday, and hence the huge private sun-bathing veranda which is a real asset to the apartment. The TV is placed in such a position to maximise space, and there are 2 poofties which can be used to sit on along with the 2 sofas to allow 6 people to watch TV at any given time. Great place to stay in Javea

This is the second year that we have stayed at this property an are already in the process of rebooking for 2014.The apartment is clean spacious and is ideal for either a couple or a family/group of six people, having three decent sized bedrooms and two bathrooms spread over two floors. There is a full length balcony with a dining area for six, plus a large sun terrace up on the roof with ample sun loungers for everyone. The kitchen has everything needed to prepare anything from a snack to a three course meal but in saying that, although this apartment is located in a quiet residential area it is literally five minutes walk to the Arenal beach area where there is a great selection of bars and restaurants to suit all tastes and budgets. The complex as a whole is clean and bright with a large centrally located pool, and although this is communal, we have never yet found it busy and have usually had it entirely to ourselves. As our stay here is part of a longer touring holiday in an open top classic car we find the provision of a private, secure underground garage a great benefit. The property is managed by a local estate agent just around the corner and although we have never needed to contact him with any issues during our stay, he has always been friendly and helpful when checking in or out. We have been touring the length and breadth of Spain for over ten years now and have stayed in some lovely places and some fantastic hotels but since we discovered Javea we keep getting drawn back there, we would use this apartment every time and would have no hesitation whatsoever in recommending it to anyone.

A beautiful apartment, well kept & spacious.

The apartment is so convenient for the beach and shops yet just far enough away (5 min walk) that when you have had enough it is quiet and relaxing. As a family we feel like we are staying in a home away from home but one with nice weather and a really great pool. The helpfulness of the agents really means you don’t have to worry about a thing.

The apartment is spacious with plenty of rooms to spend time together as a family or find your own space. With 3 bedrooms and 2 balconies there is really no need to be on top of each other but plenty of space to all be together as well. On our last trip there was a day of bad weather and we all curled up on the sofa’s and watched the weather come in over the mountains then watched movies.

The pool has a large shallow end for small children or games with older children and gradually gets deeper. It is a big pool with plenty of room to lounge around the sides and watch the kids. We went in the pool everyday and my son taughter my daughter to dive there, that is a memory we will all keep forever.

The beach is vast with beautiful white sand, clear, warm water and a range of watersports which we tried for the first time this year and had huge amounts of fun paddle boarding together. The waters are really safe so I was able to relax and have fun with the kids. The beach is surrounded by a range of restaurants and shops to meet all tastes and wallets :-) My son is a bit of a foody so we ate somewhere different everyday and everywhere was really good food.

It is a lovely place and we felt very much at home, I think it was the best holiday we had, plently to do but still very relaxing and having the apartment which was so comfortable was lovely and we definitely wouldn’t stay anywhere else.

Lovely apartment

We stayed in this apartment in June. We have been to Javea many times, as it is a lovely town with many places to eat to suit all tastes and budgets and is also a good base to travel - if you hire a car - to nearby towns like Moraria, Calpe, Denia, Jalon Vally and Guadalest. We have also caught the train from Denia to visit Alicante and Valencia, both beautiful cities. Well worth a vist if you hire a car is Xativa and also Alcoy in the mountains.

The apartment is spacious, well furnished and most importanly clean! We have rented a number of apartments and many have not been up to the same standard. All the crockery, cutlery and glasses looked brand new! often we have had to wash everything before we are happy to use them but this was not necessary here!

In terms of location it is a short five minute flat stroll to the beach area and all the bars and restauarants. The beach itself is wonderful however for those that dont like sunbathing on the sand the roof terrace is big enough for everyone to sunbath on the loungers - the sun is there from early morning to at least 6 in the evening and is complety private. The other terrace is also large and perfect for taking breakfast and sitting having a glass of wine in the evening and although we didnt have one you could have a barbeque - again it is very spacious which is unusual as most apartments dont have two such large terraces. The communal pool is beautiful and the gardens are well kept.

Over the years we have stayed at other places in Spain but we are always drawn back to Javea - it is a beautiful spot and one of the nicest Spanish towns on the Costas - we will definately be back !

North of Javea is Valencia which is a vibrant city and only an hour's drive from Javea. And to the South, is Alicante a short 50 minute drive, a city with many historical sites and shopping.
