Villa Buena Vista is a lovely bright villa situated in a quiet area of Cumbre del Sol, Alicante, Costa Blanca, Spain, close to the resorts of Moraira, Calpe and Javea.

The villa is equipped for comfortable winter stays, double glazed through out and now has a modern and efficient log burner installed on the upper floor, which keeps the area cozy on a winter's night. The four air conditioners also produce effective extra heating if needed. In addition, a gas heater is provided on the lower floor.

Our villa has been equipped with the latest in pool heating technology. The system allows for the pool to be heated throughout most of the year to a tropical 28 C and effectively expands the summer season allowing the use of the pool throughout most of the year during Spring and Autumn. Pool heating is offered as an optional extra and it is charged at 150-175 Eur per week from Spring to Autumn. For Winter periods different terms apply. Please email us for more details.

The villa is situated in a picturesque hillside location near Benitachell with breathtaking views of the Mediterranean. The villa has large windows that are uncommon in most traditional Spanish villas, letting in lots of that lovely Spanish sunlight. The villa is close to well maintained beaches, bars, restaurants, shops and other activities like hiking, water sports and of course, golf courses. For the explorer, the Costa Blanca has plenty to offer. When looking for Spanish villas, go no further, this area is second to none.

VILLA DESCRIPTION

Villa Buena Vista is in a quiet and sunny location 100 yards from the sea with magnificent front line sea views. Well kept area with private heated pool and Jacuzzi. In the off-peak months this is an ideal option to enjoy summer early. Sharing a mountain with fantastic Spanish villas. Two separate living rooms, one of them with fireplace, open plan kitchen, 4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, storage room, open and covered terraces. Each floor has its own access and both areas are linked by an external staircase. For those who wish to surf the net, we have broadband internet access / Wi-Fi (optional). There is also English cable TV. Off-street parking. Car Hire is strongly recommended. Aircon system hot + cold. Sat-TV. Furnished and equipped.

NEW IMPROVEMENTS

We have installed a high end Weber Genesis gas barbecue which is capable of producing delicious professional results. We have also installed a Philips Hi-Fi System with iPod docking and USB input. We have also installed a hard drive with a library of 50 recent films (in English) giving a choice for all the family.

In addition to digital Spanish TV we have installed a new system bringing you all the usual free to air UK channels (BBC1 , BBC2 , ITV , ITV2, ITV3, ITV4, Channel 4, Channel5, etc..) there is also EuroSports and some other channels. These include Sci-Fi, History and many other channels. It is quite difficult to supply UK TV to the Costa Blanca area however, we have now had a new system installed which allows you to enjoy all of the above channels. The channels are subject to the providers changes. There is also a DVD player with a library of DVDs for your viewing pleasure.

We have also installed a dishwasher, brand new top quality oven and microwave.

Stunning sea views, dramatic mountain landscapes and the bordering National Parkland and rugged conservation area. Magnificent views include east across the sea to Ibiza, Calpe’s Penon de Ifach and the Montgo. Cumbre del Sol benefits from proximity to the Spanish towns of Moraira, Denia, Calpe and Javea, each with fantastic sandy beaches, marinas and lots of restaurants, this is a sought-after location for those looking for quality and style holiday. There are 4 golf courses within 30 minutes of the Villa - at Javea, Denia, Oliva and Calpe. The World Health Organisation has considered the area to have ‘one of the most environmentally perfect climates in the world. The town of Valencia (Spains 3rd city) is just 1 hour away - where the Americas Cup and Formula 1 Grand Prix of Europe are hosted.

CUMBRE DEL SOL: Benitachell is the closest village to the Villa and is a typical, mainly agricultural, village with narrow streets and good local bars and restaurants. Those who live there are known as Pobleros.

Benitachell bowling club is located close to the village.

The village is also known for its vineyards.

JAVEA or XABIA: Javea or Xabia, is split into three distinct areas:

There is the Old Town of Javea where you can wander down ancient narrow streets and visit the local market on a Thursday. Built with original Tosca sandstone it's rich in medieval history.

The Gothic fortified church of San Bartolome dominates the centre of Javea's town. This building dates back to the 15th century. At the side of the church is a beautiful building which houses the indoor market where you can buy local fresh produce daily.

The Port of Javea many people's favourite area of Javea, with whitewashed houses surrounding the bay. Watch the fishermen bring in their fresh catches and the sailing boats set off from the marina or eat at the fantastic seafood restaurants.

There are also many good shops, bars and cafes - it's bustling with activity. The Port area of Javea has a real Spanish feel, this is an area where locals live and work in harmony with the tourists. It is a lively bustling area with many shops, cafes.

ARENAL BEACH & MORAIRA: The beach of Javea (ARENAL) The bustling Arenal area is basically the sandy blue flag beach which is surrounded by shops, bars and restaurants. It's a great place to walk along the promenade in the evening. It's very touristy obviously and is the least Spanish part of Javea but nevertheless it is a crucial part.

During the evening in the summer there are various stalls here selling a variety of handmade crafts. Many of the bars have live music and there are several discotheques.

MORAIRA is a small town within the Teulada municipal district, it is a short 10 minutes drive away from the villa. Originally a tiny fishing village it has changed very little through the years and still remained largely uncommercialised. Moraira has been tastefully planned, and reflects a typical Spanish pueblo style, its marina and sandy beaches compares with the best of the Mediterranean's yachting locations.

Its Marina is impressive; the Teulada Club Nautico de Moraira, boasts mooring for 620 berths.

Very nice !

We had a very nice holiday. The house was very nice, the pool was perfect and the weather was good. The house had everything you would need for a holiday. We were especially pleased about the beds. We slept really well in the downstairs master bedroom, which isn't always the case when we are away from home. Also my daughter (15 yo) and her Nan slept well in the upstairs bedrooms and enjoyed their stay.

Though, the car was needed while staying at the house. There isn't really anything in walking distance.

We went on the Cala Moraig beach which is a pebble beach. Very beautiful though, but when we had found our spot on the beach and sat down on our towels ... we suddenly noticed that everybody was naked around us ! We were so busy to look at our feet and to where to walk that we didn't notice it right away. There were no signs but it seems it's a beach for German naturists. However, we went on to Javea. There the beach really lovely. It's one of the best beaches I have ever been to and the water was lovely for swimming. We went there almost every day. We tried Moraira, but Javea is nicer. We were allowed to take our dog to all restaurants and cafés. They even brought her a bowl of water as soon as we arrived. Later on during our holiday we discovered that the caves at Cala Moraig are worth exploring, just by climbing as we didn't bring any diving equipment. Many people are diving in the caves there. We went for walks on the path which begins near the entrance of the village. The views were nice but everything was black and burnt down on the sides of the path. We all enjoyed our holiday. Ok but not quite what we expected

The area was beautiful but the villa was much smaller than we expected . The pictures were a bit deceiving . The beds were extremely uncomfortable , we had to double up the mattresses to be able to sleep on them. The water pressure was also terrible . If there was more than one faucet running at a time there would be virtually no water just drips out of the tap or shower . When we arrived at the villa after our flight from Toronto and our train ride from Madrid and our drive from Alicante we were tired and then we found that there was absolutely no toilet paper in either of the washroooms . I think for the substantial amount we payed they could leave us a couple of rolls until we found our way to a store . These are all fairly minor things but all together with the price we payed we expected a little more . All in all we had a great vacation and will definitely be back to Spain .

It is unfortunate that there was no toilet paper on your arrival and we are sorry that you had to suffer this inconvenience. As a standard practise, we always supply some toilet paper for each arrival, this must have been overlooked by Anita, our representative. She is very helpful and available to solve any minor problems. All that is required is a text message to let her know. We will endeavour to make sure that this problem does not arise again. The water pressure issue is now resolved and full pressure is now restored. We realise that this does not help you but we are grateful to have this information so that it can be fixed for the next family/group. There was a general water pressure issue in the area, which has now been resolved. In response to your complaint about the mattresses, we are sorry that you didn't find them comfortable and we will be changing both king size mattresses for the new season. Every effort was made to present the villa as accurately as possible with our photos. The photos are accurate and straight forward and include all the spaces available in the villa. We are glad to hear that you had a great vacation.

a great villa in a quiet area on the mountains

a beautiful villa for 2 families or 8 friends. the view was great. when you look down you see the sea. you need a car for going out because the supermarket is 5 min from the villa then. We rent this villa because a year before we rent also a villa from this owners in Valencia but the hospitality and service was more then good. a great idea from the owners is that the have a heating pool that you can rent . Rooms stunning views

Our party of six, 4 adults and 2 children have just returned from the Villa after a two week stay. We originally booked the villa through Paul and Gema who were really helpful and easy to talk to although on our arrival we were meet by Nicole and Pietro a really nice couple who told us all we needed to know about the villa and the local area. As we arrived later than expected the welcome pack was gratefully received (especially the bottle of wine). The accomadation is spacious, well presented, modern, and spotlessly clean. The villa is situated at the end of a quiet road and overlooks the cliffs and straight out to sea, the views are stunning. Facilities within the villa include SkyTV, DVD player, digital radio, books and numerous board games. For those who wish to self cater the kitchen is well equipped with pots pans and various appliances which include coffee machine and micro wave and with a number of diverse supermarkets within easy reach you will want for nothing. For those who would prefer eating out try Rusties, located just by the local Mercadona supermarket, good food and inexpensive with a friendly atmosphere. There are many other good restuarants within a short car ride each with its own speciality. The villa sits on an up market complex with a variety of ultra modern and established villas. A short drive from the villa is a secluded beach although we decided to walk to it, roughly 45 minutes away but be warned its uphill most of the way back (keeps you fit though) the beach has two cafe' type restuarants each fairly priced (be advised at the furthest end of the beach is a small nudist area). Javea (about 20minutes drive) is a very popular beach side town with many bars, shops and restuarants with loads of things to do, the red speed boat ride is a must (great fun with a watery twist). There is also a market on Thursday near the church in the old town. Other things to do include, the water falls at Algar (can get busy) the caves at Canelobre and the water park near Benidorm, all worth a visit. Back to the villa, the description is accurate, the villas spotless and I would certainly recommend it to friends and relatives, I've rented a number of villas in the past and Palm Villa ranks amongst the best. All in all a relaxing, lazy, hectic, busy, easy going or to sum it up this place will suit everyone I'm sure.

Golf: There are 5 Golf courses in the area, Club De Golf Ifach was designed by Javier Arona for those who appreciate a challenge. Seve Ballesteros designed Club De Golf Oliva Nova, which provides a satisfying round if you play well enough. Alternatively, there is rambling, hiking, horse riding, go-carting, diving, tennis, all in and around the Cumbre Del Sol area.
