This apartment has just been completely remodeled - everything is new, from the appliances to the dishware. If you're looking for a clean, modern place to call your own during your visit to Chicago, you've found it!

And only 2 blocks to Blue Line, which goes directly to some of the most popular spots in the city: Logan Square, Wicker Park, Bucktown, Ukrainian Village, and Downtown.

The Space

The apartment has 2 bedrooms, each with a queen size bed that will comfortably sleep 2 people. The bedrooms have large closets for your clothes.

A queen size AeroBed is also available, as well as additional pillows and sheets.

As an added convenience, you will have full access to the washer and dryer.

The kitchen features a granite counter, dishwasher, stainless steel fridge, brand new stove, coffee maker, toaster, cookware such as pots and pans, and of course all of the dishware and silverware that you'll need.

The heating and cooling systems are very effective. No creaky old radiators here! The brand new heater and air conditioner will keep you comfortable at all times. You can also use the ceiling fans for added temperature control and airflow.

The front door has a code lock. This means you won't have to deal with keys at all. Simply enter the code and the door will be unlocked. Press 1 button to lock it on your way out.

There is free curbside parking on the street. Some blocks in the area require a permit, but this block does not.

Guest Access

Guests will have access to the entire apartment and backyard.

Interaction with Guests

I will be available for questions about the apartment and general recommendations about the city, where to go, how to get around, etc. In general, I won't be around and we don't even have to meet if you prefer that. I will give you a code to the front door lock, so you won't need to get keys from me.

The Neighborhood

This neighborhood is known as Avondale and it's the next neighborhood north of Logan Square. Avondale is quickly following Logan Square's popularity with new restaurants, bars, and other attractions opening up rapidly.

Some of the well known establishments nearby are the award-winning Parachute, Fat Rice, Yusho, Honey Butter Fried Chicken, and Kuma's Corner - possibly the best burger you'll ever eat, unless you go to nearby Small Chevalle or Au Chevalle (voted best burger in the country).

Or, if you're looking for some world-famous Chicago deep dish pizza, Giordano's is also in the neighborhood (on Milwaukee Ave). Giordano's is one of the original deep dish pizza restaurants that Chicago became so well known for.

Getting Around

The Belmont Blue Line train station is only about 2 blocks away, which will be about a 5 minute walk. The Blue Line will take you directly to other popular neighborhoods including Logan Square, Wicker Park, Bucktown, Ukrainian Village, and of course the "Loop" Downtown. It's only about 15 minutes on the train to Downtown, with the other popular neighborhoods in between.

If you prefer to drive or take an Uber or Lyft, the apartment is located very conveniently near the expressway which will get you to Downtown in about 5 minutes. It's also equally close to Milwaukee Ave, which cuts through all of the most popular neighborhoods on this side of the city and eventually ends up in Downtown as well. Either way, you can't go wrong.

On foot, it'll be about a 20 minute walk to Milwaukee Ave and the center of popular Logan Square.

The neighborhood is quiet and safe. You can walk around safely day and night.

AIRPORTS

If you're coming to or from O'Hare Airport, it really can't be more convenient. The Blue Line goes directly into the airport, so it'll just be a 25-30 minute ride for a train. If you prefer to drive, take a cab or Uber, it's about a 15 minute drive when there's no traffic.

If you're coming to/from Midway Airport, the options are similar. The Orange Line goes directly to/from Midway Airport, and you can transfer between the Orange and Blue Lines at the Clark/Lake stop. It's about 50 minutes on the train between the apartment and Midway. By car, driving distance is about 30 minutes.

CONFERENCES

If you're in town for a conference, it will likely be hosted Downtown or at McCormick Place. Downtown is easily accessible by car, train, or bus. McCormick Place is about a 20 minute drive. It's also possible to get there by train in about 50 minutes, but I wouldn't recommend it because the train doesn't stop directly at McCormick Place.

Please be respectful of the house and everything in it.

A few rules:

- No smoking

- Take your shoes off once you've entered the apartment

- Make sure you lock the door when you're leaving for the day

- Make sure you turn off the thermostat and all lights when you're checking out

- No more than 7 people are allowed in the apartment at once. I understand that you might have friends in Chicago and may want to bring them back home, but this is not a place for having parties.

- Be respectful of the other people who live in the building.

- One small dog is allowed (with pet fee), but not on the beds or couches. If you bring a pet, it will be your responsibility to make sure that furniture and other items are not damaged.

Cozy and very clean.

We had a great stay! It was Pristinely clean, the hard wood floors were beautiful. And our beds had us feeling like we were sleeping on a cloud. Our host was Present and attententve when we needed anything. loved the sky high showerhead .Great shower pressure and heat. nice extras. Good central location. We came for our daughters wedding. We had no worries here. Would stay here again.

Perfect for a getaway, great value and location

Alex was a great host, in communication throughout our upcoming arrival and with additional instructions of entering the unit with the door code. Great staples for the kitchen to have a meal in, pretty quick walk to the train and 20 minutes to downtown. Was absolutely perfect for our needs.
