About the property

A self-catering rental with three ensuite bedrooms minutes from the sands

Esther's Field is a 17th-century granite house with thatched roof set into the hillside above the beautiful white sands of Sennen Cove with fantastic views of the beach and sea from almost every window. Recently completely refurbished, it has 3 bedrooms (all with large beds and Egyptian cotton bedlinen), 3 bathrooms, two sitting rooms (both with wood-burning stoves and TV and DVD) and spacious farmhouse kitchen with Rayburn. The house sits in an acre of private garden with many exotic plants and a summer house full of garden furniture. You can walk down to the beautiful white sands of the cove (lovely little shops and restaurants) in a few minutes: fabulous for swimmers and surfers too. The house also sits a minute from the coastal path so you can enjoy the wonderful coastal walks around Land's End and its many coves and beaches and spot some amazing birds, plants and animals. Esther's Field is beautiful in the spring and summer, and a cosy getaway in the winter months too with wood-fires and books to enjoy.

Land's End: The famous Land's End, the most westerly point of Great Britain, is under a mile away. You can see the well-known Longships Lighthouse and the last few outcrops of rock that stretch out in the sea towards the Scilly Isles from the beach in Sennen Cove. A walk along the coastal path from Sennen takes you to Land's End, and to many other beautiful little beaches around this headland.

Nearby towns: St Just, a charming little town with several pubs and shops, is a few miles away. The larger town of Penzance, with its rail link to London, is 8 miles away. Penzance has many fine old buildings, lots of antique shops and art galleries and a whole host of shops. From here you can also take the boat or helicopter to the Scilly Isles. About 40 minutes away by car is St Ives with its famous Tate Art Gallery.

Haus mit Charme und super Aussicht

  • 4 of 5

Pretty, cosy house in lovely location

  • 5 of 5

This is a really comfortable, peaceful house in a beautiful location - apart from sleeping like logs and settling down with books in front of the wood burner, we had a fantastic time walking in beautiful countryside and exploring Cornish pubs! (The restaurant on the beach is very good too). Highly recommended.

V well maintained traditional thatched house with private bath or shower rooms for each bedroom. 2 comfortable sitting rooms with comprehensive catering facilities and a short walk to both the beach and Land's End.

Amazing location, minutes from the beach with great views and footpaths everywhere. Handy for all sorts of activities, a great surf shop and lessons. A great local pub and beachside restaurant and also fish and chips, convenience store and cafes. A short walk from Land's End and close by car to all sorts of attractions.

Lovely garden and comfortable lounge areas, a real find.

Absolutely Fantastic!

  • 5 of 5

Esther's Field In Sennen Cove is the most wonderful house we've stayed in. Everything that was described in the add was correct. The pictures are great but they don't compare to the actual! The view from the patio is amazing! The facility is superb. There were 5 of us in 3 bedrooms all with ensuites. The house was spotless when we arrived and everything worked perfectly. There were directions for use for everything. We used this as a home base for hiking the south west coast patch, visiting the tin mine, going on drives. The location couldn't be better! The pub food was great at the Success Inn and also at the First and Last Inn. I would highly recommend this property to everyone I know! Please don't hesitate to book this if you're thinking about it! We'd love to return one Day!!

Esther's Field sits peacefully in its own garden, but is just a few minutes walk from the village shops and restaurants of Sennen Cove. The Beach, right on the sands, was voted The Guardian Newspaper's 'Best Beach Restaurant in Europe'. Sennen is famous for its mile-long stretch of golden sands, safe swimming and clear Atlantic rollers. There's an excellent Surf School here too - they provide wetsuits, boards etc. The house is on the Coastal Path, so walks around this spectacular coastline are on your doorstep. Great opportunities for spotting native bird and plantlife. Or go on horseback - the Land's End Stables are just down the road. Visit the amazing Minack Theatre cut out of the cliffs or the rocky outcrops of Land's End, the many nearby coves and beaches and the numerous mystical prehistoric sites. Enjoy the Tate Gallery in St Ives, and the well-known towns and villages of the Far West like Mousehole, St Just and Pezance with excellent small art galleries, cafes and antique shops

Other Activities: birdwatching, kite-boarding.
