Farther Away is a Unique and Beautiful Cottage Overlooking the East Coast beach of Skeete's Bay with incredible panoramic views. Cool, Breezy, Relaxing and Peaceful.

Short walk to the beach where you can swim, sunbathe, walk on the beach, hike and even fish off the pier.

Just imagine, watching the beautiful sunrise, sipping a cup of coffee or tea, or after having had an invigorating sea bath, cooling out on the deck with a glass of Clarkie's complimentary Bajan Rum Punch! Immerse yourself in the incredible natural vista and experience true relaxation at it's finest.

There are three bedrooms with 2 twin beds in each room. The Master Bedroom has an en-suite bathroom and the other 2 bedrooms share a bathroom.

Good public transport service but car is more convenient and suggested.

Wonderful Holiday

My husband and I spent 10 wonderful days at Farther Away it was a perfect holiday for us, quiet and chilled out a beautiful ‘real Caribbean house’ cool and breezy, travelled everywhere to see the sites lovely lunches and beach bars. Caroline Thank you it was a special break for us.

Beautiful authentic barbados cottage

We loved our stay at Faraway Cottage over Christmas and New Year, it is really well equipped with everything you need to live there during your stay. The constant sea breeze keeps the cottage comfortable and when we were there we would open the doors and listen to the relaxing sounds of the sea. Best to have a hire car and only 15-20mins away from everything. Bought all my fruit and veg from the beautiful stalls near farms, coconut water, freshly prepared by the side of the road. Loved being away from the main tourist area and experiencing the real barbados, all the neighbours in the village were super friendly. Caroline and David made everything welcoming and easy and there was even complimentary delicious rum punch in the fridge when we arrived. Would definately recommend and would return to stay at this property again.

Stunning location, home from home

What a fabulous place! Clean, spacious, private and very well equipped. The location right by the coast is amazing. Waking up with the sound of the waves every morning is very relaxing. You definately need a car to get around though. We spent most of our days on the west coast for the calm sea and this takes about 30 mins to drive. It was so nice to come back to Farther Away in the evening to chill and play dominos on the deck with the children. Caroline is a great host, she met us at the airport, which after a long flight is superb - nothing worse than arriving in the dark and getting lost trying to find your accommodation! She was always on hand by phone during our stay for any advice we needed. Overall we were really pleased with the accommodation and would have no hesitation in booking the cottage if we return to Barbados. Our only regret is we didn’t stay for two weeks. If you want peace and quiet in a beautiful setting then this is the perfect place to stay.

One of the best locations on the island! Family owned property in Bayfield for over 50 years, always went on holiday there as children! Farther Away built in 2005 for the same purpose!
