About this property

Lovingly furnished and equipped with Queen bedroom, Full bed room, and full/twin bunk bed room, each with ceiling fan and individual air conditioning. This is a floor-through 3rd floor end unit open to the trade winds with an east balcony and west facing palm shaded lanai with all weather wicker furniture. Tile floors and baths, granite counters, secured complex. Hi speed internet, fresh linens provided, laundry machines, fully equipped kitchen including food processor, coffee gear, air fryer.
For arrival, our local host will meet you at the gate during day and evening hours as possible.
Quiet and restful, close to El Yunque, Luquillo, Pinones and shopping. Enjoy nearly 3 miles of largely deserted ocean beach walking! Enjoy the best of Puerto Rico, away from tourist hype, in a gorgeous private home.

The process to check in and the cleanenes of the place was not what we expected. Once that was resolved everything else was great. The communication between the owner and Sandra was great. Sandra even help us with place to visit in the island.

January Stay

It was clean and the location was convenient. The complex was nice and I appreciated the secure entrance. Sandra and the owner were both very responsive. My main complaints were the heat inside the apartment and not having access to the beach. The main reason we chose this location was because it was right on the beach. While it was on the beach, it was entirely fenced off and we had no access. We had been told that it was being worked on but not that it was entirely closed. The heat inside the apartment was oppressive. The only ac units we had access to were in the bedrooms, and not all of those worked. We weren't allowed to use the one in the main room. We were told to open the doors and allow the breeze to blow through and cool it off. There were no breezes for most of the days we were there. The overhead fans moved the air a bit but not much. I was often dripping sweat in that room. Due to the holidays and the weekend, it took a couple of days but Sandra and the owner were able to get the non-working ac unit in the bunk room replaced. The ac unit in the main bedroom was dripping water on the floor and we had to often wipe the floor and put bowls under it so we wouldn't slip. The owner did give us a partial credit for the inconvenience. I didn't give a one star review because they were helpful in getting the issues they could resolved. I understand that the beach being closed was beyond their control but we should have been told that it was not accessible.

Stay in Loiza

The property came fully equipped with beach equipment, towels and everything we would need to enjoy our beach outings. The property manager was extremely helpful and even provided suggestions on take out our first night. The space was well laid out and comfortable. The lanai is beautiful and we enjoyed drinking our coffee in the morning and watching the wildlife.

Peaceful area outside city

The property is lovely, with all the amenities listed. Since its the owner's get-away, it was fully stocked and had everything we needed, including a basket of sunblock and chairs for the beach. The AC in the master bedroom doesn't cool the room efficiently, but placing a portable fan in front of it, made sleep more comfortable. There are some delicate artworks hanging on the wall, so if you have a rowdy child, you may want to think about staying elsewhere. There is a small grocery close by, but mostly pizza restaurants nearby. We drove a half hour east or west to eat out. In general, biting insects in Puerto Rico are vicious. Take some bug spray with you and use it morning and evening. We left our bottles in the sunscreen basket for the next visitor.

We selected this particular home because of its views, open air, , secure location and its balcony and Lanai for outdoor living!

What makes this property unique

Proximity to shopping, many beaches, Rain forest, and many cultural locations. Use as a home base for day adventures, or enjoy the quiet of any season in Puerto Rico, in a complex that is mostly used on weekends and in the summer for vacations by native Puerto Ricans.
The home is beautifully appointed and caredfor, with local artisan items and artwork. The kitchen is fully equipped.
