Alto Mare is nestled on a hillside surrounded by lush natural Kefalonian vegetation. The sunset views from this villa are quite spectacular. Within 5 minutes walking distance (400 meters) is the small Alaties beach with beautiful clear water, natural sea salt pools and a charming beach bar restaurant taverna. The harbour village of Fiscardo is just 8km away.

The villa has a stylish and chic contemporary interior design with all modern amenities.

Fantastic a must visit

Catherine’s place went beyond our expectations, the villa was just fantastic, the location and taverna amazing and we all had such a lovely holiday. Catherine welcomed us and was a WhatsApp away for all our queries. The villa was extremely well equipped and presented. Highly recommend!

Wonderful villa in a wonderful location

We've just spent a week in Villa Altomare and wish we could have stayed another week. The villa was very comfortable with an amazing outdoor area and views to die for! It was the perfect space for 7 adults, allowing you to socialize together but also to find a quiet spot to read your book. Having the bar / restaurant at the end of the road was wonderful (highly recommend) and Fiscardo is a beautiful, picture post card harbour. Catherine, the host, was very helpful and sorted out any issues immediately. The best place we have stayed in Greece - highly recommend!

It just isn't possible to captivate the villa's stunning atmosphere in pictures or words. The view from the spacious sundeck offers the greatest sunsets imaginable and we already miss the sounds of the lapping waves The location is AMAZING, walking distance (500 m) to the beautiful Alaties Beach and Acqua Alaties Beach restaurant and short drive to Fiskardo. The villa offers everything for a luxurious individual retreat and is also perfectly situated to explore the beautiful kefalonian coastline by car, quad, boat, kayak... Additionally Catherine was the perfect trip advisor, keeping us updated on trip schedules and finding solutions to all our inquiries instantly.

Fabulous Villa in a stunning location

My husband has wanted to stay in this villa for some time, the opportunity finally arose this year and I am pleased to say it did not disappoint. It is equipped to an extremely high level and the interior design is of special note. The outside space is well furnished with plenty of seating to admire that wonderful vista. The villa is beautifully maintained by Catherine's team and Catherine herself is a pleasure to do business with. We were originally only booked for one week however whilst there extended for a further six nights. This should indicate how magical a villa it is! Thank you for sharing your stunning home. I'm French.
I ran a successful restaurant business in Fiscardo from the early 1990s. It took me some time to locate the perfect plot to build my home, but I finally found it and finished building Villa Alto-Mare in 2001.

After selling my small business, I took a break and spent amazing long Summers with family and friends in this exceptional setting. I decided to rent the villa in 2008 and it’s success was immediate. Holidaymakers fell in love with my house and 75% of those who now rent it are returning guests!

I am still able to make the most of my place in the Autumn and early Spring, and in the Summer I live 5 km away on the east coast. I potter around the coves in my little speedboat, and enjoy an excellent quality of life in this magical place. But, to tell you the truth, I do miss my stunning Summer sunsets at Alto Mare…”
