About this property

A private paradise on the Ocean!

This unique beach house, which sleeps up to ten people, is situated at the beginning of a 16km white sand beach ending at Watamu. We can accommodate a further two beds in the master suite if needed.

The three-floor beach house is located on a private ten-acre walled estate and fronts this isolated beach and beautiful turquoise blue inner reef at Leopard Point, just outside Mayungu. The beach is protected by a reef from the Indian Ocean and is perfect snorkelling and wind surfing territory.

The house has an internal phone system that is in every room throughout the house and staff quarters. The house comes with five permanent staff including a Housekeeper, Houseboy, Gardener and two Askari, whom provide 24 hour security 7 days a week.

The house has every modern amenity including mobile key internet connection, direct dial telephones, TV with DSTV satellite service. This comes with a full package of foreign language stations, news, sports and movie channels. We have a DVD and a DVD collection, an iPod music system as well as a CD driven system.

Malindi and Watamu are rightly world famous for their deep-sea fishing and scuba diving, they should be known for their wind and kite surfing as well.

The Beach House is situated on the edge of the national marine park which includes the locally famous “Sardinia Due” sandbanks, where a boat picnic is a good way to spend part of the day.

Swimming with dolphins and the occasional whale shark is a short boat ride away. Whether you’d like a luxury spa, a wild life safari, an alternative culture tour, a relaxing massage, a deep sea fishing trip, a celebration party, boat charter, wind and kite surfing or snorkelling, everything is possible, and we will be happy to help you organize it.

The house is two hours from East Tsavo, a national game reserve, or just twenty minutes from the local bird and butterfly sanctuary. The Gede Ruins and Mida Creek are 30 minutes away. There are day trips available to Che Shale and the Sabaki River, Robinson Island and Wasini Island are is just twenty minutes by chartered aircraft from Malindi Airport.

The Beach House comes with an excellent housekeeper, Rehema. She will organise your shopping trips to town and act as your guide with advice on where to go..She will do all your laundry on request. She is an occasional cook and does a mean spaghetti ragu! Ali, the houseboy is there to help you in any way possible. He is your butler, waiter, grill man! Ask Ali the evening before if you want fresh fish or lobster the following day, and he will tell the fishermen. John is in charge of the gardens, should you want a particular flower in your room or at dinner, just ask Rehema and John will pick them for you. We have two Askari providing around the clock security, they are backed up by Don and Gone the house dogs - not guard dogs and are safe with children and adults. They're more of an alarm system!

The property is swept through and the beds made everyday. Should you require fresh sheets or towels just ask Rehema.

Additional staff such as a cook, waiters, or drivers, can all be easily arranged on request. The Beach House is on mains electric, but with it’s own standby electrical generator, plus a dedicated laundry room and servants quarters. We have ample freezer space if required.

The property has a 4x4, which is available to rent for an additional €50 per day including a driver (Ali), just return it with a full tank.
Or self drive cars and 4x4's are available for hire in Malindi Town. You will need transport while staying at The Beach House.

There is a nine hole Golf Course in Malindi approximately 15km from the Beach House.

Fantastic
Volveremos.

Serene beauty
Upon arrival at the Beach House, one cannot help but be stunned by its beauty and location. After a long flight from Berlin, and drive from Mombasa airport, this is EXACTLY where you want to end up! Being the only house on the beach, by the Malindi coast, not only do you find yourself situated in serene peace, but you are simply luxuriated by your surroundings. Waking up each morning to a beautiful sunrise, the sound of the waves, going for jogs along the beach, walking on the reef and exploring its treasures when the tide is low, swimming when the tide is high, having beach-side lunches (with fish, freshly caught that very morning by local fishermen and prepared for you by the lovely Rehema, the lady who lovingly and joyfully takes care of you during your stay), and enjoying peaceful evenings, relaxing and talking by the beach fire, fired up and kept alight (for as long as you desire) by the Maasai warriors who guard you each night. The staff are wonderful, friendly, and accommodate any need you may have, ensuring you have a pleasant stay. The understated luxury of the house makes you feel a sincere, deep comfort that complements its surroundings. Perfect for romance, having fun with friends, or a family vacation. If and when you feel the need to explore Malindi, it is a short drive away. In the town you will find plenty of bars, restaurants, markets, and shops. Plus there is an array of local activities you can do. I however, was always happy to return to the Beach House - it is simply the best place to be and has everything you need! I highly recommend long stays, if possible, but any amount of time there is worthwhile. Truly one of the most amazing experiences I have had. I simply cannot wait to go back and embrace the magic of that place, one again :-)
