La Salette, our beautifully restored 18th century stone farmhouse nestles in the Vere Valley less than 5 minutes stroll from the picturesque village of Larroque on the edge of the Gresigne Forest . L'Ancienne Ecurie, the adjoining barn, has been converted to provide luxurious, independent accommodation for up to 8 people. The barn has original restored stone walls and exposed timbers throughout, with spacious accommodation on three floors. The well equipped kitchen and dining area which seats up to 8 people has double french doors leading on to the south facing terrace and gardens. The large sitting room is located on the first floor and has a vaulted beamed ceiling with views of the beautiful countryside. It has three spacious double bedrooms, a galleried mezzanine bedroom and 3 bathrooms. L'Ancienne Ecurie is set within 3 acres of grounds with beautiful views of the villages of Larroque, with its half timbered houses, and Puycelsi.

Garden and Grounds.: Your holiday home is set within 3 acres of grounds and has mature trees with extensive natural shade.

L'Ancienne Ecurie has its own table and chairs for outdoor dining, sun loungers and access to many areas of additional seating with a choice of sunshine or shade.

Also available for your entertainment are facilities for table tennis, badminton, boules and football.

A barbecue is provided for you.

You can easily walk from L'Ancienne Ecurie along ancient tracks through the shady forest of the Gresigne to the hill top village of Puycelsi (Fortress of the Gresigne).

Local Activities: Leisure and sporting facilities to be found locally, include the Base de Loisirs near Castelnau de Montmiral and in the opposite direction, at Monclar de Quercy. The river Aveyron offers a popular location for swimming, picnicing, canoeing, kayaking, rock climbing and potholing. At Bruniquel you can enjoy a day's walking on the banks of the Aveyron or Vere with a hired donkey carrying your picnic or your young child.

A Five Star Experience!

  • 5 of 5

Everything you might want or need was provided, the kitchen was well stocked if you wanted to cook, the beds were very comfortable, the livingroom invited long late night chats and the outside eating area was perfect to enjoy the evening. In addition to wonderful accommodations Rosie and Robin were welcoming hosts! We were welcomed with a bottle of wine and a delightful melon. Lots of literature for the area plus Rosie and Robin gave us good direction to the area. The only snag was sometimes a weak wifi signal. I heartily recommend a stay for a wonderful 5 star experience!

Havre de paix

  • 4 of 5

stunning converted barn in beautiful surroundings

  • 5 of 5

The Gite, a converted barn, was absolutely fantastic both in standards of accomodation and location. Furnished to a very high standard with everything you need and very clean.

The owners, Robin and Rosie, were great hosts and went out of their way to make us feel at home and introduce us to the friendly and welcoming villagers of Larroque in the Midi Pyrenees.

The surrounding area is ideal for walking, with several villages nearby all with a choice of restaurants, shops and various other points of interest.

Would highly recommend this converted barn to family and friends.

Splendide !!!!

  • 5 of 5

  • 5 of 5

Larroque, a jewel in the Tarn

  • 5 of 5

The property has been renovated to a really high standard. The interior is clean and very comfortable, not that we spent much time inside. The kitchen has all modern conveniences. There is also an outside kitchen for lovely summer evenings. Our party consisted of 3 adults and 2 young children, Rosie and Robin were warm and welcoming. We would definitely go back.
