A delightful gite in the beautiful Tarn region
We spent a wonderful week in this delightful, charming gite whilst attending a family wedding in Larroque. There were 8 of us staying (all adults) - and the gite was comfortable and spacious enough for us all. The setting is lovely with nice outdoor sitting areas, and the surrounding area of the Tarn region is absolutely beautiful. Robin and Rosie were amazing hosts (together with Sophie the dog) who made us very welcome and willingly catered for our various needs during the week, providing advice and guidance when we needed it, together with practical support (even booking transport for some of our group). We could not have wished to have stayed anywhere nicer! Thank you Rosie & Robin.
Lovely place to stay
We were eight, attending our son's wedding at Chateau de la Vere. Rosie and Robin were welcoming and very helpful to us all and their house is a smashing place to stay. We were lucky to have had the opportunity to spend a week with them.
The French Country Life is alive and well .
We stayed 5 weeks and hated to leave . We had become family ,with the luxury of easy communication and shared interests . I can't think of anything we lacked and most needs seemed to be anticipated . We never would have found most of the restaurants on our own and we would have missed some of the more out of the way places which make the experience so special . We will be back !!

A Five Star Experience!
Everything you might want or need was provided, the kitchen was well stocked if you wanted to cook, the beds were very comfortable, the livingroom invited long late night chats and the outside eating area was perfect to enjoy the evening. In addition to wonderful accommodations Rosie and Robin were welcoming hosts! We were welcomed with a bottle of wine and a delightful melon. Lots of literature for the area plus Rosie and Robin gave us good direction to the area. The only snag was sometimes a weak wifi signal. I heartily recommend a stay for a wonderful 5 star experience!
stunning converted barn in beautiful surroundings
The Gite, a converted barn, was absolutely fantastic both in standards of accomodation and location. Furnished to a very high standard with everything you need and very clean.
The owners, Robin and Rosie, were great hosts and went out of their way to make us feel at home and introduce us to the friendly and welcoming villagers of Larroque in the Midi Pyrenees.
The surrounding area is ideal for walking, with several villages nearby all with a choice of restaurants, shops and various other points of interest.
Would highly recommend this converted barn to family and friends.
Activity and Interests
Larroque nestles in the Vere valley on the edge of the Gresigne Forest (one of the largest oak forests in Europe) in the North West area of The Tarn, between the Gaillac vineyards and the Aveyron Gorges in a tranquil rural area of forests, deep wooded valleys, farms, vineyards and gorges. Larroque is ideally situated between the medieval villages of Bruniquel and Puycelsi (both classified as 'Plus Beaux Villages') to explore the numerous bastide towns and villages which provide this stunning region of South West France with a unique historic character. These medieval towns, each with their own individual style, arcaded market squares with wells or fountains, historic buildings, vibrant weekly markets, local artist galleries and delightful restaurants.
Within a short drive through dramatic gorges, vineyards, forests, rich rolling farmland and sunflowers, one can explore such well known bastides as Cordes sur Ciel, Castelnau de Montmiral, Lisle sur Tarn, Penne and Najac.
