This self catering flat is located a 10 minute walk from Princes Street

The apartment is located on a quiet residential street yet is less than a 10 minute walk from Princes Street. It is on the lower ground floor and is accessed via steps from street level but has the benefit of having it's own main door entrance and a patio area.

The flat has an entrance hall which leads into the dining area. To the front is the bedroom, which is nice and bright as it is south facing and to the rear is the comfortable sitting room with LCD TV. This room has a sofa-bed which can increase capacity to 4. Wireless internet is provided.

November visit

Good location between City Centre and Stockbridge, kitchen and clothes washer great convenience, suitable clean bathroom, decent space in flat. Several grocery markets close by, pub at the end of the street; Francois and Bridget very prompt in returning messages or contacting you should there be a need. Flat looking a little worn, but still comfortable nonetheless.

Our 5 day stay was wonderful. The location put us within easy walking distance out many restaurants. The "Royal Mile" was maybe a 10 -12 minute walk.

Our accommodations were quire nice and clean. The space was ample and the shower was great.

We would stay again.

Great location, quiet and comfortable

My husband and I spent 4 enjoyable nights in this nice apartment. The location is excellent; very quiet, and just round the corner there are buses and a supermarket.

We were met by Bridget, who was very friendly and helpful and allowed us to drop our bags off early. The comfortable bed had crisp white sheets and, at our request, Bridget had kindly substituted a blanket for the duvet.

The kitchen worked well for us and the shower was very efficient.

There were one or two minor maintenance issues;

• one of the mirror lights in the shower room wasn’t working and we couldn’t find a replacement in the cleaning cupboard.

• there was no door handle on the cleaning cupboard and it was a bit difficult to open using only the key.

• The toilet brush and holder need replacing.

• The lovely, tiled shower was let down by some mould at the bottom.

I know it is difficult to maintain old properties and these issues were not serious enough to spoil our stay; so we left a note when we left rather than phoning while we were there. Overall, the flat was clean and comfortable and we would be happy to stay there again.

Owner's Response: Thanks for the feedback. We think the handle for the cupboard had accidentally been pulled off during the previous stay and this has been replaced. The other items have also now been resolved.

Home from home

Our few days in Edinburgh didn't seem long enough! The appartment is perfectly situated and with plenty of transportation nearby. Our host Bridget met and welcomed us into this interesting flat. She had lots of pointers and was full of information. Thank you Bridget.
