The apartment is located on a quiet residential street yet is less than a 10 minute walk from Princes Street. It is on the lower ground floor and is accessed via steps from street level but has the benefit of having it's own main door entrance and a patio area.

The flat has an entrance hall which leads into the dining area. To the front is the bedroom, which is nice and bright as it is south facing and to the rear is the comfortable sitting room with LCD TV. This room has a sofa-bed which can increase capacity to 4. Wireless internet is provided.

A charming comfortable well equipped apartment within a short walk to great restaurants and sights.

Myself, two daughters and their friend where so happy to have found this warm cost apartment within walking distance to great restaurants, bars and shops. The apartment is very clean and well equipped. The girls assured me it has the best shower/ water pressure in Scotland. The bed itself was very comfortable to sleep on, the girls slept on a large comfortable pull out sofa bed. Having a fully equipped kitchen made our weekend enjoyable by making our own breakfast at a leisurely pace and planning our day, then returning exhausted from what Edinburgh has to offer with a nice glass of wine to unwind in the comfortable Cozy living room was priceless. The location was perfect, yes..the short up hill walk did get your Fitbit 😁?. Edinburgh is a great city to walk and a has a few wee hills to walk but that's what we love to do.We would definitely stay again. Bridget & Hamish are wonderful hosts, they welcomed us warmly into their home. Thank you Gillian.

Great place for a short stay

We visited Edinburgh for three days in November 2018 and really enjoyed staying in this flat. While it is not the most lavish accommodation, it certainly suited our purpose and the price was extremely competitive. It was far roomier that it appears from the description. And, the location was great: a ten-minute walk to the city centre, to Broughton and to Stockbridge. Most importantly, as the temperature was below 0C most of our stay, the flat was very warm!

The bedroom featured a large, very comfortable bed. Everything you would need for a short stay was in the kitchen, the sitting room was comfortable and the shower worked well(!).

My only concerns were that the flat contains a washer, not a dryer (so you cannot do laundry just before departing) and it would have been nice to have a real ironing board, rather than the table top model that comes with the flat. However, these are minor points. We really enjoyed the stay.

Cozy and Well Situated

We had a lovely week in Edinburgh, and the New Town with its gorgeous architecture and sense of history is a great place to stay. The castle is only 20 minutes walk away, and being close to one of the main streets (Dundas Street) there is no shortage of amenities nearby.

The flat itself is cosy and homey. It feels more like staying in a friend's flat, as opposed to a hotel or commercial apartment in terms of facilities and cleanliness, but for the price we were very comfortable and would happily stay again. Francois was very helpful - arranging a parking space and travel cot for us. Thanks! We had a lovely holiday.

Perfect

Visiting our daughter who is at Uni. The flat is perfect for entertaining a few people, kitchen has just enough equipment . Very warm and clean a huge plus was the bed was comfatable with really good pillows (quite rare!)easy to get everywhere .
