About the Owner
My name is Ozlem and being the new member of the Bastide d'Izard family, I am in charge of the reservations. My father in law, Jean Michel is the owner and general manager of the Domaine which is a wine estate at the same time. Here are some words from Jean Michel:
My wife (Bénédicte) and I have been living in the region since our birth. Coming from a family who has been producing wine for generation, it was in my blood to continue my life in this beautiful region. In 1985 my wife and I decided to develop the wine tourism and converted some part of the old winery to villas. It is how we started welcoming other families from Europe as a holiday destination in Beaumont. Today we are 8 in the family and all of us work for the family business: Antoine (my sun) is the wine maker and the representative of the new generation, Ozlem is in charge of bookings, Aurelien & Julie & Benedicte, my wife & myself are the welcoming team on the Domaine.
Finally the young ones;Arthur-Han(6 yo) & Eléonore(3 yo) are in charge of growing fast to help us.
Guestbook comments from the owner
We thoroughly enjoyed our holiday at Beaumont. The villa was well-equipped, if a little hot, and we loved the proximity to the pools, the creche and our friend's villa. It was very safe for the children so we felt comfortable letting them run between our villa and our friends'. The pools were lovely, particularly the smaller one and although we went out and about a bit, it was nice to have a restaurant on site too. We also liked the delivery of bread in the morning. staff were friendly and helpful and there when you needed, but not at all overbearing. However, the best thing about our holiday was LIsa, who ran the creche. We had booked for afternoons and I really thought my younger child would not want to go, preferring to stay with his friends who were older. I was wrong! Both children asked every day when they could go and see Lisa, and although the creche facility was fairly small, Lisa kept them both fully entertained. Every day my son came back with some ingenious creation that Lisa had improvised! She was also flexible and didn't mind if were late coming off the beach and had to change our timings a little, provided we kept in touch. Again, this enabled us to relax rather than constantly worrying about the time. She was also wonderful with my daughter who has special needs. Naturally it is a concern for us when booking holiday care as not everyone has the experience or patience to manage a child like ours. Yet Lisa more than managed! She replied promptly and thoroughly to my questions and concerns ahead of the holiday and when we were on site, just took everything in her stride. My daughter adored her. This meant that my husband and I could spend a few hours each day relaxing and reading - a very rare treat - knowing that our children were not only in great hands, but having a great time too!

already booked our holiday again
We just love Beaumont and have already booked our holiday again ( 10th year running). When we first visited we only had one daughter and had previously been on private villa holidays. Recognising that she was 3 years old and needed other children to play with we wanted to find a holiday resort that would suit all of us. James and I both work hard throughout the year and have enjoyed quiet relaxing holidays pretty much on our own rather than at a large resort. Finding somewhere where we would all have a good time was a nightmare! Beaumont is brilliant since there are only a few properties. This means that you maintain privacy and avoided the race for a sunlouger but have a nice mix of similar professional families to allow the children to make friends and play . The villas are well equipped with private gardens which means self catering & BBQing is easy (with good supermarches nearby) but also the flexibility of having a restaurant on site means that if you don't feel like cooking you can get some typically french med. style food just a few steps away. The kids club, which the children adore, means that a couple of mornings a week you can grab some relaxing time by the pool on our own it also familiarises them with the nanny if you were wanting to use the babysitting service and escape for an evening. The BBQ and wine tasting event is a nice informal way to meet the other guests without being intrusive. We are now a family of 5 and have stayed in 3 different villas (although we have a favorite!). Overall Beaumont is well maintained with clean pools and beautiful gardens which are gated and secure so that the children can be free to roam. The hosts (Ozlem, Antoine and the rest of the family) are attentive but not intrusive. They are always on hand to help and support with any problems that may crop up and continue to improve their resort from their guests comments and feedback. If I was to give any negative comments they would be that all the crockery in the villa is glass (but Ozlem has promised me some plastic stuff this year) and the baby cots and safety gates perhaps need updating. But all in all is 99%. Honestly - for the next few years we wouldn't consider going anywhere else! Amanda
extremely recommended !
I am extremely happy to provide my personal recommendation of a great holiday destination which Beaumont Holidays can provide. Our family has holidayed in France for the past 12 years and Beaumont is the only holiday location that we are all eager to return to the following year. Beaumont offers a high standard of accommodation, the surroundings are well maintained, very peaceful, providing privacy from other accommodation on site. My girls age 13 & 6 really had a great holiday, the pool area was a big hit!. We all really enjoyed the superb restaurant which was frequented by locals which is always a good sign, not to mention the wine tasting of wines produced on site. We had a good choice of day trips to avail of during our holiday but the compliment to Beaumont is that we were equally happy to stay and enjoy the facilities that were on offer. The character of the place was really appealing and it was the added little touches that made it a special place. I could see our family wanting to return for many years to come.
My friend is going to spend her holiday there with her family in July based on all that we have told them on our return.
We cant wait to return at the end of May!
From the Owner
“Maybe because we are born here or maybe because of the endless sunshine or just for enjoying the good food and wine; we love our region and it is why we continue living here.”
