About the property

Quiet location on edge of a popular village close to Uzès

5km from Uzès, the property is set in a beautiful valley on the edge of the village of St. Maximin. Surrounded by fields owned by the property, there is a real feeling of being in the country. The village has a bar/restaurant and 2 wine producers within walking distance the property.

The property has 3 good sized bedrooms, 2 bathrooms plus a guest toilet. Spacious, bright sitting room with large windows, UK satellite TV, HiFi and plenty of books. Open fireplace for cooler evenings and full central heating. There is a covered dining terrace with gas barbecue. The kitchen is well equipped (the owner is a very keen cook) and has a gas hob with electric oven.

The main attraction of this house is its wonderful setting. The pool (fenced for infant security) is excellently placed on a terrace above the garden & enjoys sun all day. The house is surrounded on 2 sides by its own land of approximately 2 acres.

Gorgeous house, lovely setting

We have been coming here for nearly 10 years. Yes, it's very expensive in summer but the well-kept garden and the raised setting on the edge of a pretty village offer lovely views from wherever you are. The house is very well equipped and cool in the heat and there are comfortable places to sit all around it and delicious smells of lavender, etc. You are very close to Uzes and even closer to a huge supermarket. Yet the feeling is of rural peace. There are amazing and reasonably priced restaurants nearby, too. Highly recommended.

Superb well equipped villa.

Have stayed at this villa several times, it is superb, well equipped and secluded. A great place to relax, enjoy France and chill out. It is close to Uzes, a gem of a town, Aigue Mort and the Camargue, also close to Roman France. For us a highlight was dining out on the sunny south facing patio. We plan to return again.

We're delighted that you like to relaxing atmosphere of the villa. It feels very private and yet is only a short walk from the village with its excellent restaurant. The pool is of course a huge advantage, allowing you to cool off in the hot summer. The dining area around the pool under the trees is perfect for al fresco dinners whilst watching the sun set over the hills. We know you love the house by your regular holidays here.
