Founded on a love for the Madrid lifestyle, I am the owner of some quality apartments in Madrid’s best neighbourhoods. My apartments are perfectly located, beautifully furnished and offer all the comforts of home. Most importantly, they are centrally located: walking distance to Madrid landmarks, museums, great restaurants and classic TAPAS bars, top shopping spots and Madrid transport. I live on Santa Ana square and I am there to offer a warm welcome when you arrive and help with any questions you may have.

Guestbook comments from the manager

First time travelers to Madrid....we knew nothing about the neighborhoods. We must have looked at 50+ apartments (online) prior to booking PRINCIPE TWIN. WE SCORED!! And you will too! We stayed for 6 nights. This apartment is located on Calle del Príncipe which is a very nice street. We walked EVERYWHERE! This apartment is so centrally located! We were 15 minutes from everything! Of all of the plazas, Plaza Santa Ana turned out to be our favorite and it was just around the corner!! This apartment is well-maintained and fully equipped - you will not need anything except for your suitcase. You will find coffee makers (traditional & American), juicers, pots, pans. The kitchen came in handy for our morning breakfast. There is a decent market on Plaza de Matute. Sol & Carmen are wonderful! They speak excellent English which made communicating very easy. They are extremely helpful and accommodating. If you are looking for a comfortable, convenient place to stay in Madrid - look no further! You will not be disappointed!

There are a huge number of things to do in Madrid, but it is often the famous Madrid shopping streets that lure people into renting Madrid accommodation. The fashion boutiques and local craft shops which adorn the central business district mean that shopping holidays in Madrid are never far from the top of the list for shopping destinations. The huge range of styles and cuisine of Madrid restaurants also helps to keep energy levels high, and fantastic cooking courses lasting between a single session and a whole week can easily be arranged. The medieval centre of Madrid hides many fantastic monuments. Those taking a Madrid weekend break are best staying in accommodation close to the historic centre, as there is so much here that you can fit a huge amount into just a short Madrid city break. The ‘big three’ museums in Madrid, the Prado, Thyssen and Reina Sofia, hold famous collections of art, and tourism in Madrid is often centred around the Puerta del Sol right in the city centre.

Lack of hot water

  • 2 of 5

Although this apartment was centrally located, we needed to call the owner twice for the lack of hot water. She came once, on her behalf, but the issue didn't get resolved. We called again and no response and no resolution. Also, four flights were actually five because they didn't count the first one. When you have big luggage, it's quiet a challenge. Other than that, the apartment was clean, and in a good location.

Well located , functional & efficient hospitable reception

  • 4 of 5

This property is very well located : 10 minute walk to all major museums.

The apartment by North Americans standards is small but everything is functional & practical; well laid out & comfortable. The walk up to the 4th floor wasn't an issue for us although we're in our mid 70s but you do need to be mobile.

We were very well received even helped with our rather heavy suitcases- well beyond what one could expect.

Having experienced European type appliances at our previous rental we asked for instructions which were informatively given & it was ensured that everything worked well.

We were also given recommendations as to where to eat in the vicinity.

All in all a very favourable experience

Great Apartment, Great Location

  • 5 of 5

Great location, close to Plaza del Sol (and several other plazas), metro stop, plenty of shops, restaurants/bars, and a very convenient grocery practically across the street. Carmen met us at the apartment with no problem, let us check in early (about 11am) and most graciously let us keep the apartment late into the afternoon the day we were supposed to leave so as not to have to worry about storage. It was a little noisy at night, but nothing that kept us awake. Besides, you're in the heart of Madrid...if you don't expect people to be out at night, you're in the wrong place! Met all of our needs, and I would definitely stay here again - stairs and all.

Salt Lake City

Great Little Rental

  • 4 of 5

This is a superb location for exploring the city. Sol and Carmen were very easy to work with and the price was great. The apartment was clean and although small, had everything needed to be comfortable for our stay. I only gave it 4 stars because the noise from the street is considerable in the master bedroom. I wore ear plugs after the first night which helped.

Great location!

  • 4 of 5

Right in the heart of Sol! Metro close by with a market across the street. Great restaurants and atmosphere. Only downside was no elevator (for luggage reasons). Carmen was very accommodating about arranging the pick up of the keys. Apartment had all that we needed.

Great home well decorated comfy and great location

  • 5 of 5

We couldn't have picked a better apartment for our family (2 adults and 2 small children) to explore Madrid and nearby sights for a week. The building and apartment are beautiful and well furnished. The location is superb; we walked to most major sights (Prado, Retiro Park, etc.), and the metro station is also extremely close. Countless restaurants and several groceries are outside the front door. Most importantly, Carmen was a remarkably gracious host, going above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable throughout the stay. We would rent this apartment again and happily recommend it to others.
