A self-catering rental apartment, Haute Nendaz, 2 bedroom, large balcony

The second floor rental apartment is comfortable, spacious and perfect for groups of 6, with two bedrooms, a bathroom with toilet and bath/ shower and a second bathroom with WC and hand basin. The spacious living area is complete with 6-seater wooden dining table, fully fitted kitchen including dishwasher and microwave, and a large sitting room offering a traditional log fire.

There is also a large terrace offering mountain views extending three sides of the apartment. Lift access is available.

For entertainment, the apartment includes a 28” television with cable services, stereo with CD player and USB connection for iPod, a DVD player and easily accessible wireless broadband internet. Shared washing machines and drying facilities are available in the basement. Lake Placid offers plenty of car parking.

The main lift station, Tracouet, is a short walk from the apartment. A lift up to Tracouet is also now available from the fitness centre (behind the apartment).

The apartment development one of the most central apartment developments in Haute-Nendaz, yet is quiet and tranquil.

Beach / Water: The nearest beach is Lake Geneva which is about 80km away. However there are two thermal spas/pools withing 30km of Nendaz - great for those that want a day off from skiing.

Travel: The nearest airport is in Sion 15km from Nendaz. Sion is very small, but during winter does have a scheduled Saturday service from London. The nearest major International airports are Geneva or Bern. which are both about 160kms away or a two hours drive. Trains from Geneva to Sion go several times per hour and take 2 hours. The most convenient way to travel from Geneva is to hire a car where you can be in the apartment within two hours of leaving the airport.

Perfect location, wonderful ski area and great apartment

We really enjoyed our stay in Nendaz. The apartment was spacious and comfortable. The location was fantastic, just 2 minutes walk to the lifts, right above the supermarket and 2 minutes to the boulangerie for breakfast!! Would definitely return here for another ski holiday.

A super summer Nendaz stay!

What’s not to like? Truly.

First off, Giles and Ellie’s Lake Placid apartment is a self-catering bonus; spacious (much more so than some ski accommodation), airy, well equipped, comfortable and clean. And the location is fab too! Situated right in the centre of the resort, it’s handy for shops, bars and restaurants, yet still peaceful and with mountain views from the wrap around balcony. No matter the weather, it’s a delight to chill and observe the changing vistas. And if a lazy, ‘day off’ is on the cards and the weather has an early autumnal feel, indulge and enjoy the lovely log fire whilst disappearing into your latest read, playing a board game or watching a favourite DVD.

Lazy days though a delight to be savoured, should not be over indulged, if possible! Nendaz has lots to offer – so get out there and enjoy! The area boasts 250km of hiking paths, 200km of mountain bike trails, as well as swimming, tennis, golf and lots more sporting activities in resort and in the Valais region besides. Add into the mix that Nendaz really is a family friendly resort offering something to please all ages and fitness levels across the generations - whether it be an adrenaline pumping ‘pro rider’ challenge, an easier bike route or one of the 98km of truly lovely easy walking paths along the Bissess, the historical irrigation channels. Whichever you choose, always the scenery is simply stunning. The resort also offers shuttle bus services to enjoy what Isérables, Veysonnaz and Siviez have to offer. So all in all, it’s guaranteed you’ll be spoilt for choice here. We were.

Also, Nendaz has what must be one of the most amazing spas anywhere – really. Offering a variety of marvelous pamper day ‘Wellness Offers’ to delight in is the Spa des Bisses of the Nendaz 4 Vallées****S hotel; situated just across from the apartment; surely, it really is too good to miss…?

So, yes, this Lake Placid apartment in Nendaz is so good we’ve booked it twice. We’re heading back to this lovely apartment with its home from home feel. And, quite frankly, we can’t wait!

Excellent location & well equipped apartment

First timers in Nedaz- whole experience was first class- arrangements beforehand and with the management company smooth - as said elsewhere, the apartment lacks nothing we were three, however very comfortable for four. Very well appointed, warm and superb all round views- very quiet location. Shops and amenities underneath the apartment- including a decent wine bar- and fantastic Italian across the road! We only found the furnicular on the last day- certainly makes the journey to the telecabin easier. We had fantastic snow and conditions- my only gripe was the age & quality of the lift system in the Nendaz - multiple button lifts and snowboarders do not mix well!

Highly recommended.

Excellent Skiing and apartment

We had a brilliant time and the apartment was ideal for what we needed. There's now a new funicular operating from by the sports centre up to the main telecabin so this makes access to the main lifts even easier (and less tiring!) as its now only around 150m walk in total and no uphill sections.

The kitchen was very well equipped with cooking utensils and condiments. The apartment was generally very clean and was spacious for the 3 of us who stayed there. There is also a collection of DVD's, games, puzzles and books. The balcony gets lots of sunshine so even in the winter we were able to sit out in the sun after a hard days skiing.

We arranged with the local management company to collect the keys from their safe and they supplied the code the day before (as we were arriving out of hours). Unfortunately no keys were in the safe when we arrived but after a phone call to the number supplied someone turned up within 10 minutes with the keys.

There was it was a little noise at around 7am from the Migros supermarket below, which wouldn't be an issue unless your a light sleeper and closing the shutters helps reduce any noise.

The skiing in Nendaz was very good, there were no lift queues and there is access to a good range of pistes of varying standards - particularly at Verbier and Siviez both of which are easy to reach via the lift system. There is also an efficient bus service to Siviez.

We really enjoyed our holiday in Nendaz and the use of the apartment, and would have no hesitation in recommending the apartment to someone for a ski holiday in Nendaz in the future. Thanks Ellie.

Excellent skiing apartment!

We travelled as two adults and two teenage daughters and the apartment was perfect. Great location, fantastically well-equipped (I couldn't think of anything else you could ask for in the kitchen!), very comfortable beds and lashings of hot water all the time! Haute Nendaz would have had everything the teenagers could have asked for in the evening within easy walking distance - except they were too tired to try! Supermarket underneath apartment is a real bonus (but buy your beer and wine across the road at the Coop). Couldn't be better and really excellent value compared to other properties in the area.
