Stunning 3 bed detached townhouse with fantastic sea views refurbished to a high standard and located with only a short easy walk to the beach and entertaining Praca. Vale do Lobo has great on site facilities including 2 championship golf courses, Wellness Centre Spa and fitness, Tennis Academy with 14 tennis courts, water and beach sports, internet and games, swimming pools, shopping centre, night club/disco, supervised children's village, crazy golf and many fine restaurants and bars, bank, newsagents and medical centre, supermarket and internal shuttle bus. Whether you have young children or teenagers you can relax knowing there is plenty for them to do. This townhouse is in a particularly quiet area but so well placed for everything. You are not really overlooked and can relax totally in a beautifully presented house that has kept its old charm. Dine outside and enjoy the beautiful views, from the back patio or top terrace. I know you will have a great holiday.

We had agreat week. Well kiited out villa with evrything you could need to have agreat stay. Found the path to the beach which takes as little as ten minutes. Lots of good running routes and the food in all the restaurants was great. Enjoy your stay.

  • Both bedroom 1 and 2 have beautiful views to the beach, bedroom 2 with balcony for 2 chairs and table to have breakfast and bedroom 3 is a very good size with beautifully appointed ensuite with bath and shower. All have very large fully fitted wardrobes and all have hot/cold air conditioning. Bed 3 could easily fit a child bed in or cot. There is also a main bathroom with shower.

The property is a detached townhouse set on 3 floors. Flat screen TV and also internet. There is a garden area accessed by patio doors from the main lounge/dining area. There is a table + 6 chairs for outside dining and attractive garden area. The bedrooms and bathrooms are located on the second floor and there is a top terrace and laundry area with another fridge, washing machine and sink and large drying area hidden at the side of the top terrace. There is dining table and chairs for 6 and 2 sun loungers with wooden pagoda to shade the dining area. There is a large parasol that can be put up over the sun loungers. Stunning views of the beach can be seen all the way down to Albufeira and the small lights of the fishing boats can be seen going out against a wonderful sunset. Only unsuitable for the elderly or infirm due to the amount of stairs. Kitchen is modern with plenty of saucepans, crockery,cutlery, some plastic kids cups/plates etc.

Great villa - home from home

We stayed here for 9 nights during October half term - 4 of us, including 2 teens at 14 & 17. Couldn’t find any fault with this villa! Exactly as described with good comfortable living space, well equipped kitchen and everything else as needed elsewhere. Comfortable beds and sofas and the place was very clean - we actually had the maid come twice and the gardeners once during our stay. It has 3 nice outside areas to sit and relax in plus a small neat balcony off one of the bedrooms and 2 outside eating areas with either a garden or roof top setting depending on your mood or pleasure. The additional fridge upstairs makes eating and drinking less tiring whilst taking in the lovely views. TV and Audio in the lounge were good and the WiFi was very reliable and quick enough for music and video streaming. It didn’t quite reach the top terrace but that’s what downloads are for! Communication with Nigel (owner) was easy and he always replied quickly to our questions. We didn’t have any need to contact the local agent as we had no issues during our stay. The resort itself is beautiful - quiet and quite upmarket. There’s a good choice of restaurants and bars locally - either a 10 min walk to the resort centre or a short cab / car ride away if you want to explore a bit. I’d suggest booking at some of the restaurants as even this time of year they get busy, must be hectic in the main season, so look them up on-line and book before you go. Don’t expect cheap meals and drinks though - the restaurants locally fit the area well and charge accordingly. That said, we got great service and good food everywhere we went - Paixa and Parrilla Natural coming highly recommended as a bit further out and Sandbanks, Tea House Oriental and La Terrazza all good in the resort main area. For taxis, there is a great service on the resort - use the app when there and it’s like a private Uber service. There is a small supermarket on site that will cater to most needs but for more choice, bigger ones can be found in the main town 10 - 15 mins by car away. Overall, I’d happily stay here again and can highly recommend you do too! Thanks.

Perfect Holiday Villa

Absolutely loved this villa. The moment we entered the house we loved the feel of the place. Bright airy and spacious. Although only few minutes walk to the Praca it was so quiet. The terrace has stunning vIews and due to its elevated position there was always a lovely breeze to sit out comfortably. I would highly recommend this villa and will def stay there again.

Very happy

We had only one big problem - leaving after 2 weeks.

Uns hat es so gut gefallen, dass es uns sehr schwer gefallen ist, nach 2 Wochen abreisen zu müssen. Den "Million Dollar View" von der Dachterrasse und die Sonnenuntergänge werden wir sehr vermissen.

Fantastic Stay - Location, location, location!

We had a fantastic stay at Nigel's house. First of all I would like to thank him for his excellen communication, all emails were answered right away and no question was left unanswered.

We stayed here with six persons, my mum and dad, my husband and two teenagers. The location of the villa is fantastic, just 5 minutes walk from the beach (which was super quiet when we were there, so lovely) and easy walk to the Praca. We rented a car (Nigel recommended the VLD car rental - which was an excellent service) There is a discounted rate for VLD occupants, and complimentary pick up service, i have never experienced such stress free car rental service, it was great! We also hired two bikes for the odd trip to the supermarket (just 5 mins by bike) or for a little exercise around the property. Everything is there what you need, restaurants (although we ate off property a lot since we had rented a car), beach, golf, you name it! Persons renting at VDL have discounted golf and my son and husband played many rounds on the two courses which were in great condition. We used the bars, water sports and ventured out to many beach restaurants. We ate in various times too as the roof terrace is so beautiful, the view is stunning and can't ask for anything more. I guess a little depends on what type of neighbours you have, as the townhouses are interlinked. Fortunately when we were there we had friendly and quite neighbours so there were no issues. We used the barbecue various times and either purchased food in the supermarket off property or the one on VDL which is very well stocked and really not that expensive.

The townhouse itself is an traditional Portuguese townhouse which is from the original VDL development. It is therefore not modern but has a lot of character, and both bathrooms have been renovated. The house has all that you need and is very well equipped. I have read about the note ref. Towels - to which I can agree. I would also recommend supplying beach towels (after all they don't cost too much to purchase) and that would take a lot of hassle (and space) for not having to bring them from home.

The property was very well cleaned and we opted for the additional maid service (some comes with the rent depending on your duration of stay) and that was very nice. Parking is provided for one vehicle, any additional cars (we had 2) can be parked at the Golf Club House (only an issue in high season).

We would come back in a heartbeat to VDL!

I spend my holidays for the last 5 years in this house with my husband and 2 kids (now with 20 and 19 years old) and we return every year with joy and we will do it as long as we can

The property overall was very very nice

WE stayed in the property for 10 days. We really were impressed when we first arrived. It had almost everything that you need for the perfect holiday.

There were only a couple of things, that is.. the towels need renewing, they were very worn and old, and the sunbeds on the terrace are in need of replacement.

The internet connection was very poor and we did loose the tv signal on regular occasions.

We all loved the resort, it was very clean and tidy all of the time.

I was not impressed with the pool at all. I think it could do with some cleaning and it seemed very baron and un interesting. It needs some palms putting around or any kind of greenery to soften the look of a lot of concrete and slabbed areas.

We felt that the charge for the pool was not representative of the overall experience there at all.

There were 6 of us and we hadn't hired a car so we were having taxi to go everywhere.They were very expensive. The car hire wasn't an option either because we were quoted 275 euro per day( that's was for a six seater)

The beaches were really lovely and clean and couldn't have asked for anything better there so thank you.We had a lovely holiday XXXX Price family

Owner's Response: Dawn Thanks for your comments. Yes we are in the process or replacing all the linen generally, including the towels, and this is starting in September 2017. It is unfortunate about the internet as it was not the router but the main line. I had already ordered a replacement but they could not do this in time for your stay but was replaced with a fiber connection on the 10th August so is now working perfectly. As the TV is through the internet this is now also working fine.

Probably Portugal's best known golf, tennis and beach resort. Set within a beautiful area the beaches are very clean and stretch for many miles of golden sand backed by rugged cliffs. Vale do Lobo does provide everything, but the luxury resort of Quinta do Lago is just 5 minutes away and Almancil can provide all your shopping needs. Easy trips down the motorway will take you to Albufeira and the fantastic shopping mall at Algarve shopping. Going East, Tavira is an attractive coastal town and Olhao has great fish and vegetable markets on the quayside. There are many nearby golf courses, the best in the Algarve and also nearby sports facilities, spa and beauty clinics for the ladies. This is an all year resort with much to do during all the seasons and golf being especially popular in the months outside the very hot summer.
