Fabulous holiday

  • 5 of 5

This is definitely the best accommodation I’ve stayed in, just a stones throw from the lift with stunning views across the valley. The chalet is beautifully finished and has everything you could wish for and was always warm and welcoming after a long days skiing with home made tea and cakes and a friendly smile. The staff (Sam and Colin) made us feel very welcome with nothing being too much trouble and probably the most outstanding thing of all was the wonderful food they served us – Superb!

Great holiday

  • 5 of 5

We had a wonderful week at Chalet-le-Sabot. The chalet was perfect for two families and the slopes had something for all levels, despite it being late in the season. A particular thank you to Lee for the welcome he provided and for the absolutely fantastic food. Lee went out of his way to make it easy for us; he showed us around the village helping us pick up passes and equipment and even took us out skiing on the first morning. He went way above the call of duty! Please pass on our best wishes to Shirley and hope her ankle recovers soon.

Great week of skiing

  • 5 of 5

The chalet is very nice, comfortable and modern. You can see the Alpette lift from the chalet - it's less than a minute's walk away, or you can ski down to Poutran lift which takes you to Alpe d'Huez.

However the best thing about Chalet le Sabot is the food which is exceptional. We eaten a lot of very nice food in chalets in the French Alps, but this was amazing - worthy of a very good West End restaurant.

Add to which it snowed as we arrived and we then had 6 days of sunshine. Just a fantastic holiday.

There are no words! Fabulous

  • 5 of 5

Our first week skiing and what better way than to spend it in Oz and at Le Chalet Sabot. We have been exceptionally lucky with great snow and we have all come on in leaps and bounds. As for our fabulous hosts Lee and Shirley - what can we say? The most friendly and hospitable people you could meet and Lee's cooking is absolutely to die for. We have been truly spoilt with fabulous breakfasts, very welcome afternoon teas and the most amazing evening meals - truly top restaurant standard. Going home will be such a disappointment to go back to ordinary meals. Thank you so much, it has been an absolutely brilliant week. We hope to return!

Recommended comfortable chalet with great staff!

  • 5 of 5

We had a beautiful week in Chalet Le Sabot. The weather was all week sunny. We could use a little more snow. The chalet is very comfortable and beautiful decorated and located (2 minutes walk to skilift. Even the place where you put your ski's and boots is well taken care of. But what made it really special were Lee and Shirley, our hosts. Their effort to make us comfortable was great. English and Dutch breakfasts, great christmas dinners, cakes, sweets at 5 o'clock sweets.

Another Great Stay..

  • 5 of 5

It was our 6th year in Oz and our 4th at the Chalet le Sabot. We were lucky with the snow (I think most people have been this year) and the Chalet was maintained to its usual high standards. The hosts, Peter and Chris, were fantastic yet were discrete and never impinged on our privacy. The meals were exactly what were required before and after a good day’s skiing.

The Chalet le Sabot remains an amazing place for a ski holiday. The views are breathtaking, the staff and facilities are excellent and everything is so close – ideal, especially if you have young children.
