We chose this apartment as it had a great sea-view and it was large enough for our family. Also, the town and beach are both very child-friendly and safe.

We had a lovely holiday. The afternoons were surprisingly hot for this time of year and I liked that it was so quiet around the bay. And I have to say my favourite restaurant was Portabello's – We loved it. It was very reasonable at all the places we visited, so it so didn’t hurt the pocket too much!

Great apartment in super location

We enjoyed a couple of months in this apartment which was very spacious and comfortable. Sunny balconies front and rear, meant sunshine morning and afternoon, with a pool table when the sun was occasionally hiding (it was winter after all). Easy access to the bay and walks around the headlands. Easy walk (20mins) to supermarket. Trains and buses close at hand for local trips to attractive nearby towns/villages. Good range of fitness equipment on prom too.

If you are there during Christmas and New Years the fireworks are great. Excellent service from Phil throughout. Highly recommended.

Quality accommodation in a great location

A modern, clean, comfortable and well-equipped 3-bedroom apartment. Close to the town centre, beach and railway station. Travelling as a couple who like to self-cater (as well as eat out) we found the property ideal for our requirements. It is obviously well cared for by the owners and the local management team. Sao Martinho do Porto is a smart seaside town with a good beach and plenty of good quality (and reasonably priced) restaurants, bars and shops. The local rail service and easy access to the motorway network make it a good base for exploring the Silver Coast region.

We would definitely return.

Lovely apartment and beautiful surrounding

The apartment is in a purpose built apartment blocks. It took us a little while to find the agent as block 14 isn't clearly marked, but we got there in the end.

The property is airy, lovely decorated, all furnishing and equipment are fairly new. The rear

balcony overlooks the communal swimming pool which is sun drenched during the day and lit during the nights, during the day, the swimming pool is 'life-guarded' so 100% safe for the little ones.

The front balcony overlook the bay which is beautiful especially at sun set. The only negative I will say is the train line which run parallel with the building, however, the trains are hourly and not very noisy at all.

Sao Martinho Do Porto is a quiet little town, good restaurants, supermarket, and the indoor veg and fish market which just about cover everything you will need.

Underground parking is a plus which keeps the car nice and cool, however street parking is available, and it seems safe.

Recommend this apartment to family.

Silver Coast adventure

Sao Martinho is a has a stunning bay with golden sands, friendly locals and excellent restaurants. It is in a good position on the coast for visiting other amazing places of great history and architecture, great castles.

The apartment we had was very spacious and well appointed with a super view to the mouth of the bay.

It is certainly a place we will visit again as there is so much to see and do locally and around the area.

Owner's Response: Thanks so much for the great review Mike. We've just spent quite a lot of money on the apartment to renovate it so it looks like a show home once again! We replaced sofas etc as part of that, so I'm pleased you were happy with our sea-view penthouse :)
