These two one bedroom, air conditioned apartments are located in the Barceloneta district, beside Barcelona´s beach and port area. The Gothic Quarter is ten minutes away on foot. The Ramblas as well as the Cathedral and other points of interest can also be reached on foot. The Metro station (Barceloneta) is a 300m. Nearby the apartments are many seafood restaurants, as well as the typical café’s and bakeries famous in Barcelona.

The apartments have been designed to combine both a rustic and modern style, offering guests a relaxing stay in Barcelona.

Smart apartment with central location

The apartment is really smart looking, clean and well decorated. It had everything we needed, all kitchen equipment etc although if you like tea bring your own tea bags as they only had Spanish ones. Anna and jordi left a bottle of water in the fridge which was really thoughtfu. I was a bit apprehensive at first as the front door is literally right on the street which is full of bars, there's no corridor or anything just a door between you and the people in the street. It was quite scary initially but I got used to it, and we had no trouble during our stay. The one thing that did ruin our stay a bit was the building works which started at about 8am every morning! Very loud drilling and banging! Obviously this is not jordi and Anna's fault as they probably didn't know this was going on. We did shout at the builders at one point as they were dropping debris all over the patio area at the back. The air con works really well but it is a bit noisy, I kept waking up thinking it was raining! Haha

The good thing about the apartment though is it is very close to everything. We walked to Las Ramblas every day and it was a lovely walk. The metro and the bus stop are both a couple if minutes away and really easy to find. We didn't go to any restaurants or bars near the apartment as we went to Las Ramblas most nights. The museum across the road has a roof top bar which is really nice to sit and have a drink and look over the marina and the city. Jordi and Anna were really quick at replying to my messages and Anna met us there and showed us around the apartment, she was lovely. The price was decent aswel so I would recommend this if your staying in barcelona for a few nights.

Great location, clean, modern and friendly

The apartment is in a great location, 2 minutes from the Barceloneta Metro, 5 minutes from Las Ramblas and the Gothic Area, an easy 5 minute walk to the beach or the harbour.

The apartment is very clean and well presented. All fittings are modern and there are all the comforts you could need, including a well stocked kitchen.

A supermarket and some excellent bars, bakeries and bike hire facilities are on the door step.

Jordi and Anna are friendly, accommodating and very helpful with great communication throughout the HomeAway experience.

As a young couple, we'd happily recommend this apartment!

Well presented and ideally located near the sea.

The apartment is in a great location, with ample bars and restaurants literally on the doorstep. Balboa bakery on the corner of the street was fantastic and ideal for breakfast baguettes, croissants etc. Anna was there to greet us on arrival to offer advice and show us around the apartment. This was our first time staying in Barceloneta, after staying in Barrio Gottic previously. We loved the area and will definitely be back to stay the next time we visit.

A simple gem in a beautiful city

Our first time in Barcelona, and Jordi and Anna's place is a great place to enjoy the best of the city, from the Barceloneta district. Here you're sandwiched between the beach in one direction and the city centre in the other - both just minutes away. This area has yet to be 'gentrified', and retains an authentic feel with its narrow, dark grid of streets with old corner bars and great restaurants. It can be a little noisy at night, although that didn't worry us at all. The apartment itself (an old shop originally?) is simple, comfortable and has everything you need. Very happy to recommend it, and indeed I hope we'll be back soon. Be sure to check out Jai Ca, (25 metres away, with wonderful tapas) and the fabulous home made burgers at Bro (1 min). We're missing it all already. We didn't meet him, but Jordi was great with very fast communication and all the help you need. The apartment was immaculately clean, and if it had just a little more daylight would be even better. But you're hardly going to spend much time inside, are you? Thanks for everything; Jordi; hasta luego...

Exactly as previously described

As the title says, I have nothing to say that has not already been said.

The location is exceptional, either beach, metro or city center within easy walking distance

It is next to a bar, so there is external noise (put the air-con on and the fan noise covers the street noise)

Contrary to previous reports both TV and WiFi work normally. The satellite feed is from 13e, so if you have a C+ or Taquilla card it should work.

There is no natural light, so don't come here if you intend to try sketching or needlework.

It is an exceptional choice if, as we did, you intend to spend your days on the beach and your evenings exploring the city.

Lovely apartment - great location

First of all Jordi and Anna made it so easy to book the apartment and are quick to respond to any questions before hand. The apartment was very clean and has everything you could need. We stayed for 3 nights and it was a great location for exploring. There is a great bakery on the corner of the street for fresh pastries for breakfast and a supermarket at the other end of the street, about 50m away. Port Vell and port Olympic are both within walking distance for loads of restaurants. The beach is about 5mins walk and las rambles about 10 mins walk. We had hired a car as we were going to the Grand Prix, the car park nearby says it's 36euro a day however if you go in to the car park to the kiosk you can pay 48 euro for a 3 day pass which allows you to come and go as often as you like and gives you access to 41 car parks dotted about the city which is great if you aren't able to walk too far. Overall the apartment was great and we really enjoyed our stay.
