We spent a most relaxing fortnight in this house, in July 2011 and a further week there, in September 2011. The house is very clean, simply but tastefully decorated, uncluttered and well-equipped with a dish-washer, washing machine, iron etc. It is very comfortable with a spacious living area and large, sunny terrace (which also has a shaded area, for those who prefer shade) with BBQ. After a relaxing day at the beautiful, sandy beach, which has plenty of room and never becomes too crowded, we enjoyed a quick dip in the pool, and looked forward to a chilled glass (or two!) of Picpoul Blanc on the cool terrace, while contemplating dinner. We barbecued a lot but also tried some of the local restaurants, which were very satisfactory.
The villa is in a lovely, calm location, just a quick stroll to the shops, bars and restaurants. It is very close to the enticing beach (less than 10mins), canal du midi and nature reserve, both of which are ideal for walking/cycling. The complex is very secure, with a coded pedestrian gate and a remote-controlled vehicle entrance.
A car is useful, in order to travel hassle-free from the airport, but, having arrived, it is quite feasible to enjoy a relaxing holiday without using the car at all, because of the villa’s location in the village. On our second visit to the area, we spent quite a bit of time sight-seeing, and the car was a necessity.
The booking process was very uncomplicated and efficient. The owner was helpful, easily accessible and answered emails very promptly.
Overall, we loved the house and had a most enjoyable holiday in this lovely place.
