Quiet location and very well provided cabin

The cabin is in a quiet location of the country park. It was clean and very well provided. The cooking oil in the cabinet was a nice touch, saved us a trip to stores.

Loved the location and the peace and quiet. Was great to wake up in the morning and have a cuppa out in the patio.

Would definitely recommend!

Relaxing Stay

  • 5 of 5

We loved the location - a nice quiet spot with plenty of open space for children to play safely and within easy walking distance to the beach. The lodge itself was spotless and very welcoming with lots of homely details.

This was the most wonderful place and lived up to more than my expectations as I researched the area and booked it for a family holiday without knowing where it was! The property has everything that one would need and is extremely comfortable. I was with my 3 year old Grandson and he could walk out on to the terrace in the morning, play freely and safely, watch the squirrels, rabbits, and run up and down the grassy embankment to his heart's content. The sea is less than 10 minutes walk away. The only problem I had was that I could not get balanced heat from the shower but think this may have something to do with the pressure. It was not at all a blight on the holiday. Everything was spot on. I would certainly recommend this property and the host John who replied quickly to anything I enquired about. Long may you continue!

This is the second time that I have stayed here with my husband and toddler. The lodge is exceptionally well (and thoughtfully) equipped and there was nothing we needed that wasn't provided. The lodge on arrival was immaculately clean and really offers a lovely haven. The customer service of John and Sue is fabulous - from the prompt responses and the whole process from start to finish. We encountered an issue with the dvd player. We certainly didn't expect the phenomenally quick response and issue sorted which we were very grateful for as a week with potentially rainy days and a toddler could have been tricky!

Shorefield itself has great facilities - indoor swimming pool and spa, gym, shop, bar. The park is tranquil and there is so much to do in the area. If I could give 6 stars to the lodge, John and Sue's service and Shorefield I would. But we want to book for next year and don't want it to get too booked up :)

This is the second time my husband and toddler have stayed here. The lodge is exceptionally well (and thoughtfully) equipped and there is nothing we needed that wasn't provided. On arrival it was immaculately clean and has a wonderful warm atmosphere.

The location of the lodge is in a beautiful, quiet and relaxing part of Shorefield and even with a toddler we were able to relax. There is plenty of space around the outside of the lodge - green space as well as a fab decking area which can be a great sun trap!

We were very impressed with the level of customer service right from the start. John and Sue are very prompt in responding and clearly care very much for the enjoyment of their guests.

We discovered the DVD player wasn't working (and with a toddler and potentially bad weather on the cards!) we reported this straight away. I certainly didn't expect the swift response and how quickly John and Sue sorted out this issue - a testament to them that the quality of your experience is important to them.

Shorefield Park itself has fabulous facilities (such a clean pool and spa, gym, shops). This holiday in many ways beats an abroad holiday. If I could give 6 stars for the lodge, the park and the owners I would. But I don't want to encourage too many people to book it all up as we want to go back next year!

No hot tub :-(

  • 4 of 5

When we arrived we were disappointed as when we booked we were under the impression that the lodge had a hot tub, despite sending a text to owner, we never got a reply.

However, the lodge is lovely, it is very well equipped, the site is great, and we would certainly consider going again - this time to the one with a hot tub!

Owner's Response: At no time was the impression given or implied that the lodge had a hot tub. Although we received and responded to several text messages, at no time did we have any enquiry about the presence of a hot tub. We can only presume that the holidaymaker confused us with another property they were researching.
