Spectacular Mountain and Sea Views from these Truly Beautiful First Line Villas

35 minutes drive from Chania airport, these fully air conditioned villas are located in what must be the ideal position in Almyrida. They enjoy olive groves and mountain views to the rear, 2 shared pools and are within an easy 6minute walk to all the shops and beach restaurants of Almyrida, with their stunning views across Souda Bay. Each villa has several balconies on which to relax and enjoy the views, and of course lounge, kitchen and dining accommodation and private car parking. The villas are set in beautifully landscaped gardens with extended areas for lounging around the pools. Numerous local villages provide alternative places of interest and lively Chania with its Saturday market is a 35 minute drive away.

The garden areas are beautifully landscaped & are well maintained as some of the villas are permanent residences, with twice weekly pool maintenance.

Almyrida Beach is flat and sandy and slopes very gently into the clear turquoise water, making it ideal and safe for children. Along the beach are a number of restaurants offering diners a wide range of inexpensive local cuisine, (still 7-8 euros, including wine), whilst enjoying breathtaking views across the beach and bay. The sunsets in this part of Crete are spectacular as the sun falls across Souda Bay.

Chania airport, with UK flights in and out on Tuesdays, is a 35 minute drive away. A hire car is not essential as a fixed price taxi one way costs 40 euros, and is available directly outside the arrivals hall. Local buses provide a regular service to Kalives further up the coast, and to Chania which is not to be missed for its beautiful back street restaurants, shops, stunning architecture and lively harbour. Heraklion airport now has Jet2 flights and is a 2 hour drive on the National Highway.

Kalives (2.8 Km) is great for a local breakfast and Plaka (1.6Km), provides a tranquil insight into unspoilt Cretian village life. Both are well recommended, and of course Chania is to not to be missed. Once you've been you will have to go back!

All amenities are on your doorstep. Local and inexpensive supermarkets and a bakery just minutes from the villas will provide everything you need for your self-catering holiday. As well as the delights of Almyrida and Chania we provide our guests with an extensive list of places to visit, to plan days out, and to enjoy everything the locality has to offer.

A spacious open plan kitchen, lounge and dining area on the ground floor, together with the 1st twin bedroom and shower room, total 50 sq.m.

Upstairs are a further twin & a double bedroom, and the main shower room.

The kitchen is fully equipped with oven, hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, washing machine, toaster, electric kettle, iron/ironing board and hair dryer and an extensive range of utensils. The double settees may be used as two further beds if required.

Each bedroom is individually air conditioned, as is the whole of the downstairs living space.

Alfresco dining table and chairs and loungers are provided. This villa has an olive groves & mountain view.

Satellite TV provides a range of English language TV and radio.

Highchairs and cots & an extensive range of other items can be hired from the maid service.

Holidays in Almyrida, Crete

I have been vacationing at the Villa Gig 5 with my friends (two families). Rest lasted 3 weeks in July 2013. Great place, clean beach, on the coast are many small cafes and restaurants. 7 minutes walk from the villa to the beach. The villa is comfortable, three-bedroom, two communal swimming pools, there is everything you need to relax. I recommend to rent a car, you can see a lot of interesting places and go to other beaches.

wonderful vocation

This is a little bit delayed review, but I'd like to share with all future visitors of these wonderful villas my recollections.

We spent two week in June 2010 and enjoied every day of our stay! Villas in very good condition and very well equipped. Way from Villa to the sea takes you abt 10 mins. Markes and local cafes are also very close. And the backery, you should visit it for sure! Pefect delights and ice-creams)))

I'd recommend all my freids going to Crete to visit this place, these villas.

An ideal place to spend your holiday

We spent our short vacation in this Villa. Superb geographical loacation (Almerida which is on Souda Bay), 5 min to the beach, restaurants, shops... ( and good starting point for morning jogging). The Villa very well maintained and clean.

Superb holiday in Villa Gig 5

We would definitely recommend both the villa and the location - the villa was clean, well-equipped, spacious and conveniently located near two pools. The location, Almyrida, is superb for families with small children - everything is in easy walking distance, the beach is gentle and sandy, the tavernas excellent and child-friendly. For those needing a taste of the big city, Chania is not far by car or bus, and we had an enjoyable day out there. We hired a car and visited some of the more far-off beaches like Falarsana and Elafonnissi, which we can recommend - they were beautiful! We had a wonderful holiday, would recommend it to anyone seeking a pleasant beach experience with some but not too much infrastructure and would definitely return.

Heraklion airport now has flights 7 day a week from Gatwick & 4 days per week from Manchester, and is a 2 hour direct journey on the National Highway. Therefore we have no specific change-over day.

Kalives (2.8km) is great for a local breakfast and Plaka (1.6km), provides a tranquil insight into unspoiled Cretian village life. Both are well recommended, and of course Chania is to not to be missed. Once you've been you will have to go back! Numerous local villages provide alternative places of interest and lively Chania with its Saturday market is a 35 minute drive away.
