Great location with excellent indoor leisure facilities and central for golf.

Highly desirable, 2 bedroom ground floor apartment with extra large terrace. Air conditioning. Large fully fitted kitchen. Luxury bathrooms. Satellite TV and DVD. The fitness complex offers indoor heated pool, gym, sauna and Turkish bath. Close to shops, restaurants, beaches, golf courses and water parks. Beautifully furnished throughout, it’s fully air conditioned and has everything you could wish for that perfect holiday. There’s a spacious living/dining area, a ‘dream’ kitchen with fully fitted Bosch appliances, bedrooms with top quality beds (one even has a visco-elastic mattress for troublesome backs!) and stylish bathrooms with underfloor heating – a real treat. Outside, there is a lovely large dining terrace and garden area where you can relax and enjoy the famous Algarve sunshine. The apartment’s special features include a surround sound system, a satellite flat screen TV and DVD player for those ‘chill out’ moments. A small safe is also fitted.

Our village: Guia has all the shops you could want within easy walking distance. Supermarket, baker, newsagent (UK), bank, medical centre, chemist, hairdresser, post office, DVD hire shop, bottle shop, cafe etc. Entertainment: for those who don’t want to sun worship or golf for their entire holiday, there are several attractions nearby to entertain the whole family. Zoo marine with its dolphin and parrot shows is perfect for children, while water parks Slide and Splash, Aquatic and the Big One are within very easy driving distance too.

Eating: Guia boasts over 25 restaurants – from the simple but succulent to high class continental cuisine, there is something to suit everyone. Food lovers will enjoy the popular local dish chicken piri piri at The Palladium restaurant where the owner Diogo and his wife/head chef Batista will welcome you as if you’re part of the family. Or if it’s a special occasion you’re celebrating, enjoy lunch or dinner at a 2 rosette Michelin starred restaurant.

Within the leisure centre: There is not only a heated swimming pool and recreational area which is all air-conditioned, but also a well equipped gym, games room with pool table, darts and table tennis, a sauna and steam room. There are shower and toilet facilities. The roof terrace has a large sun area and a separate and very pretty decked garden section. (Please note that the condominium committee ask for a one-off 20 euro contribution to maintenance costs for use of the gym or steam/saunas. The pool and all other areas do however have full free access).

Praia de Gale is less than 10 minutes by car and offers restaurants overlooking the sea serving mouth-watering fresh fish, miles of lovely sandy beaches with hidden coves and stunning views, together with water sports in season.

The Algarve is a popular destination for golfers and Guia is central to them all - the whole region offers around 25 to choose from and more are planned! The closest is Salgados, located on the flat lands behind the beach at Gale (under 10 mins by car). The 18-hole Par 72 course also has a driving range and putting green, pro shop, restaurant and bar. Nigel & Rosie’s ground floor apartment in Guia is for their own use as well as rentals and reflects an obvious taste for quality, being spacious, very well appointed and well maintained.

Whilst there are a number of fine & varied restaurants within walking distance, the kitchen has every possible modern appliance if required, with a large dining table in the lounge and another on the covered patio (plenty of loungers) that opens onto a small private garden.

Guia is fairly centrally located on the Algarve and well placed for the many and different attractions, for which we find a car essential. There was plenty of parking space when there (October) and also more secure underground gated parking, though not used by us.

The apartment itself is very secure, having external roller shutters to all windows, an alarm system and a small safe, which can be set to a combination of your choice.

We did not use the leisure complex but saw that it was equipped as described and well maintained.

There are many other facilities, per the property description, and suffice it to say we would not hesitate to recommend this apartment and would return to this better class of rental when next in the Algarve.

One amazing apartment in Guia

This 2 bedroomed apartment is absolutely beautiful, homely and welcoming. The apartment was immaculately clean and was fully equipped with everything you would need. From the moment we booked this apartment we knew that everything would go exceptionally smoothly - which it did. The owners,Nigel and Rosie, ensured that all our requirements were met especially as we were travelling with our daughter who has special needs. The terrace/balcony is just amazing, lovely furniture and plenty of recliners ensuring that you enjoyed total relaxation and the beautiful weather. We wish to thank Nigel and Rosie for their excellent communication giving us valuable information regarding the many excellent restaurants in the area - please try Palladium and Atlantico, the local bakery which provides beautiful bread each morning and the cafes which are all very near to the apartment. We did not have a car but we befriended a local taxi person who took us everywhere and he was so helpful. Nigel and Rosie - we will be back - thanking you both for ensuring that we had a fabulous stay - The Murrays

Great apartment

lovely apartment in a very good location close to resturants and Gale beach, we appreciated the welcome pack it gave us a good start to the holiday, thank you.this apartment was ideal for us as my wife is disabled and finds walking a problem, we took her mobility scooter and this was a great place with groundfloor access somewhere to fold her scooter up when not in use,would definately be back. Nigel was on hand for any problems and was very quick to respond.

Excellent Apartment in Great Location

The property is as described in the description. The information left by the owner regarding access, security and how to operate the appliances, washing machine, cooker, TV etc was excellent. The property was clean, well furnished and well equipped. Nigel was prompt in his response to any questions we had and we would have no hesitation in recommending this apartment to anyone. We ourselves have already booked to return next year. Guia itself is quiet but is close to Albufeira for those wanting a bit more 'life'. The nearest beach is at Gale, some 5km away so a car is essential for families with children but the local bus service is excellent also. We tried a couple of restaurants in Guia and were not to impressed so travelled to Algoz where they are much better, especially O'Joao. The German Bier Garten at Poches is worth a try, especially if you like meat!

Beautiful apartment - well worth a visit

On our return to Rosie and Nigel's apartment, we were just as pleased as the last time we visited. There is everything you could possibly need for a wonderful holiday. The apartment is spacious, well maintained and has very tasteful furnishings. It is situated in the beautiful quiet village of Guia which has bars and restaurants to choose from if you are wanting to eat out locally. It is central along the Algarve which makes it an ideal place to stay. The owners are very accommodating - we look forward to returning again next year. Thank you

Very good flat in Guia

Very clean and well appointed furnished flat for four people in Guia. The owner was very helpful and excellent instructions were given for everything!

Would not hesitate to use this flat again if going to that part of the world again!

There are several attractions nearby to entertain the whole family. Zoo marine with its dolphin and parrot shows is perfect for children, while water parks Slide and Splash, Aquatic and the Big One are within very easy driving distance too.

EXPLORING: there are so many interesting places not too far from Guia that are well worth visiting. You could start at the 17th century local village church with its statues and famous azulejo tile pictures then go to Monchique with its famous spa up the mountains, or perhaps to Silves, where you could have lunch and look around the Moorish Castle. Street markets feature in many of the villages and these can be fascinating. Alternatively head for Villamoura to be with the jet-set at this marina with boutiques, shops and restaurants

Other Activities: 10 mins drive to watersports in season.

  • We ask that there is no smoking inside the apartment, however on the terrace or in the garden there is no problem. The apartments have a gated entrance with key code entry and the underground car park has remote controlled doors. All windows have electric blinds as well as curtains. This is a ground-floor apartment, accessible without the need to climb any stairs. There are some steps down to the garden area however at the front. Within the leisure centre, there is not only a heated swimming pool and recreational area which is all air-conditioned, but also a well equipped gym, pool table room, sauna and steam room. It has full changing and toilets facilities. The roof terrace has a large sun area and a separate and very pretty decked garden section.
