Delightful rural house set in a magnificent umbrella pine wood by the historic village of Hinojos on the edge of the Donana National Park. 35 mins from the vibrant flamenco city of Seville and miles of golden sandy beaches. This perfect rural get-away-from-it-all retreat house is ideal for relaxing, swimming in the child-friendly pool, sunbathing and enjoying a barbecue with friends. The peaceful house has air-conditioning, fans, 4 double bedrooms (1 en-suite) and a double sofa bed, fully-fitted kitchen, large lounge with open log fire and ample off-road parking. The private and secure 1000m2 garden is complete with orange and lemon trees, children’s play area & sand pit. There are bars and restaurants within a 20 minute walk and the centre of the village and supermarkets are a 5 min drive. The area is central to all the major birding sites in the Donana region and the rare Spanish Imperial Eagle and Iberian Lynx have been seen close to the house. This is a fabulous get-away-from it house which is very well located to many wonderful locations.

Excellent for access to Doñana National Park

Spacious, clean property with lots of outside sitting areas to follow (or avoid) the sun. Lovely swimming pool. A great place for wildlife - in the garden and in the surrounding areas. Doñana reserve centres all within 30km.

Excellent position for visiting both Seville and the Donana National Psrk

The villa is excellent for families and with a little TLC could be even better. The house needs a thorough spring clean and although we know this was a Christmas break, the outside seating and yard were very grubby and unusable until we cleaned them on Christmas morning. The table tops and seats in the lounge are particularly grubby . This is not really acceptable considering the price we paid per night. The villa is well equipped and very handy for visiting both Seville and the Donana National Park. The iron frame single beds squeak whenever you move and we notice that this has been mentioned by previous clients, but not attended to. The four of us had a really good time touring the area, if somewhat spoiled by the low maintenance of the villa. Subject to improvement in the above mentioned areas we can recommend this villa as a base for touring.

60th birthday celebrations in Hinojos!

We spent 3 wonderful weeks in Hinojos celebrating my 60th birthday. The villa was the perfect place for us to be able to spend quality time with our family. We stayed for the whole 3 weeks and our children and their families joined us at different points. The pool was a big hit with all ages! Although the 3 twin bedrooms are quite small our adult children felt they were big enough!! They each have a good sized wardrobe. The ensuite double bedroom was very comfortable. The air conditioning in that room is very efficient. The two bathrooms have been recently updated and the kitchen is very well equipped. The 2nd fridge was extremely welcome for cooling drinks! We loved the neighbourhood. We drove down with our dog and we were able to walk here in the forest every morning. We discovered a beautiful dog friendly beach near to Matascalanas. Take the road to Mazagon and go left at the first roundabout to park at parque Dunar. Fantastic food at the beach cafe! We loved Seville and enjoyed several visits there. Our kids all seemed to love the bar on the edge of the forest. You just cross the main road to reach it. Gaby was there to greet us when we arrived with lots of local information. We enjoyed our regular visits from Hans, ensuring that the pool was in perfect condition for us. Communication with Reuben was great from start to finish! He was very quick to respond to all of our questions. It was an amazing holiday in a wonderful location. Perfect weather the whole time!! The only difficult part was leaving!!

Great location

We really enjoyed our stay at Hinojos. Reuben ensured the booking went smoothly and always happy to help with any questions. The kids loved the pool and we really enjoyed the house and beautiful area.

Lovely week in quiet area, with easy access to seville and the beach.

Family of 7 including two under 3's, had a nice relaxing break near the traditional village of Hinojos. The villa is well stocked in the kitchen and bathroom areas, the bedrooms are more suited to children sharing than adults due to space. The gardens and pool area are a lovely sun trap but require TLC (the gardner and pool cleaner were away when we occupied the villa) several of the local restaurants were closed due to their vaciation the week we were there (4th to the 11th september) the mercadonna in pilas was excellent, around a ten minute drive and the cafe next door to the shop were very friendly! locals in general are very friendly and accomodating. the outside bbq area was the place to be from 6pm onwards for a G and T with the portable bbq. Our 3 year old loved the swing and playhouse as well as the provided inflatables for the pool. Lovely relaxing week and cant wait to return to seville for a weekend break! Thank you to Rueben for his excellent communication before and during our stay, also the villa has plenty of information and useful tips also car hire is essential

Ali and I bought this house for a number of reasons. The primary reason for buying the property was for us to be able to enjoy family holidays with our three children, especially while they are young. Another key reason was partly selfish because I love bird watching and coming here with my brother who is also an avid birdwatcher. Finally of course we saw it as an opportunity to rent this property out to other people who may also enjoy it for these and other reasons.

Why they chose this property

Because it is so well located to the best birdwatching arguably in Europe and also because it is off the beaten track with as few Brits as possible. We also chose this part of Andalucía because we wanted to ensure that the weather would be as good as possible, ie South Spain should be more regularly warm and lovely compared to say France or Northern Spain.
