Many thanks - as always a wonderful stay in the villa - you supply one of the best services we have experienced in visiting Lanzarote over the last 20 years. Hope to visit again in May/June 2017.
This was our 5th visit to PDC in Lanzarote and was a late booking
The Villas position is not ideal - situated on a busy main road out of town, and a roundabout . There is a closed up office/sales centre with weeds in the road as you arrive - Large Villa with a spacious living/dining room an ample kitchen - large sun bathing area - pool was cold but could pay an additional charge for heating - The neighbours in front has plants that over hang the pool area and the pool is full of leaves every morning - No Pool cover - The pool was cleaned twice during our stay - The Villa seems that it is not rented out on a regular basis - The floors were dirty in the living room on arrival and the downstairs bedroom is dimly lit with a patio door that goes out to a wall and the light comes in thru a grill at the top - The bedside drawers had a few large sillver fish looking critters and the showers had seen better days although they were powerful. The fridge freezer had broken and cracked doors and there was no ice cube trays - Not one bedroom had a waste basket in it - We had no maid service for the 10 days we were there - We had a nice break but compared to other villas which were dearer and cheaper to rent , this villa lacked something. Some of the inside and outside walls are flaking and need some . The sun loungers are not comfortable at all - There is no shade for the garden table and chairs so we ate in doors - also only one fan - I have given a truthful account of what we noted -
I've just come back from villa Louis. We have travelled to Lanzarote for the last ten years and have stayed in some beautiful quality Villa's. To our great dissapointment this was the worse quality VIlla that we stayed in to date. We paid quite a high price for our stay which we hd no issue paying . The issue were as follows. we arrived to be greeted by a person who could not speak English or perhaps he perferred not to due to all of the problems that we would immediately notice with the VIlla. We stayed in VIlla Luis and on arrival this was not cleaned. The sheets on the beds were dirty and really out dated. The beds but one all had mattress toppers no matresses. These were very umcomfortable. The basement were there are two bedrooms had crockroaches. We expect these on the island however with these dark and damp rooms it is a breathing ground for them. The only light coming into these rooms is from grids over slidding dorrs which is not suffecient light or airs to these rooms. They are damp and musty and with not been cleaned it was a horrible experience. You have no telephone number to contact all SMS text therefore first problem if you need to explain the issues you need sorted. We sent a text to have the VIlla cleaned, change of bed linen. The cleaner came eventually however no improvement to the bed linen. SHeets ripped, stained and worn. The VIlla was to be cleaned after a week of stay as we book a two week here and we never seen the cleaner again. We had two weeks of this bed linen. Moving on to the rest of the villa. The pool was filthy, over the poolside wall is derelict area were people hang out and drink, black table in the kitchen to cover up the infestation of ants, the villa pics advertising this holiday home is not what you will experience. If you are thinking about going to enjoy your holiday please don't go to this VIlla. We have never posted up a negative review about a VIlla stay in Lanzarote but this was such a bad experience we felt people should be aware.
The house is exactly the description and the photos give a good impression. The view from the entrance through the living room to the blue pool is really beautiful. The part of criticism, I can not really understand. It is true that a bathroom and a bedroom in the "basement" to find, but here you have, thanks to the large windows and skylights the feeling to be in the first floor. Overall a really nice house. Only the fact that it is a kind of main street, is a little detrimental to, but overall is not significant.
5 Girls stayed for 1 week in May 2009 for a 50th birthday celebration. The villa was very private and not overlooked.Within walking distance to all amenities, bars, restaurants, supermarkets, pharmacy, etc.
Our recommendations for the villa itself would be extra mirrors in the bedrooms, hairdryers, and a welcome pack with tea, coffee bread milk etc and information about the resort together with street maps
Firstly i would like to say that the description of the villa was nothing like it was advertised, the pool was more like an after thought rather than a real source of inspiration, the layout was not child friendly whatsoever,as you come through the front door there are steep steps immediately to your right, and as you go out of the patio doors the pool is more or less 2 ft away very dangerous for anyone with children.
The balconies if you could call them that, did not even have enough room for table and chairs they were extremely small and the seaview could only just be seen.
The furniture in the front room was just very basic the one advertised had a large sofa and large armchairs.
The cleanliness of the villa was immaculate and the owner was very helpful such as replacing a broken iron and a mobile radiator for the night time as it was freezing.
The villa is on 3 floors but the lower floor was underground and was just like a basement with no light whatsoever which is probably why the advertised photograph has all the lights on.
The villa was quite close to the old town but with a main road straight outside and a very steep hill i would not reccommend this for the elderly or families,i would say maybe 10 mins good walk to the thick of things.
I would not reccommend this property to a friend as it is very featurless it lacks in character and desperately needs some T.L.C.. the pool area has no view whatsoever.
My family and i our very easily pleased and very easy going but the overall experience of the holiday was a very big let down mainly due to the property,we are returning to Lanzarote in August 09 but we are not planning on staying in Villa Luis again.
