Spacious 1 bedroom apartment in the 'snow sure' high altitude resort of Arc 2000..... (with ski in, ski out from the back door). Arc 2000 has benefited from recent investment that includes 2 new bars, 1 new restaurant and an excellent 10 pin bowling alley!

Le Varet ski apartment is situated in one of the worlds best ski domains - the massive 420km Paradiski area, and provides the benefit of a snow sure ski holiday at affordable rental prices. The apartment sleeps 4/5 adults, offers a clean, comfortable & cosy environment to enjoy the fabulous winter skiing and is located in the heart of the village. Les Arc 2000 has everything one could possibly need for a great ski holiday with the added bonus of being linked to 'Intrawest's' flagship 5* ski development Arc 1950. Its accessed via a gondola (open to approx. 11pm) and offers a completely new and unique ski experience with its many high class bars, restaurants, delicatessens, bakeries and shops in a car free environment.

Les Arcs: Arc 2000 is one of the highest villages in Europe and enables it to guarantees snow during the ski season, something that not many resort can do. It is part of Les Arcs and with its link to La Plagne mountain forms one of the worlds biggest & best ski domains - Paradiski.

Ski School/ Ski & Board Hire: The main school is located at the foot of slopes, next to the nursery/ kindergarten and in the Lanchettes building. There are 3 schools in Arc 2000/ 1950.

Getting There: Flights - With Chamber y airport only an hour and a half away door to door & 4 airports all within 2 and half hours drive a low cost flight is easily achievable.

Eurostar - The direct weekly service to Bourg St Maurice with Eurostar departing from London Waterloo and Ashford International operates from November to April. Eurostar Bourg St Maurice ski trains depart on Friday evenings and Saturday mornings and arrive 8 hours later (morning departure) as little as 20 minutes via Funicular/ free shuttle bus.

Notes:
With a real Leather Sofa bed, fully equiped Kitchenette & large fold out dining table the living area provides a good sized space that can be used for socialising whilst doubling up as a bedroom. The bunk bed is complemented with a further pull out bed for those who require the extra capacity. The balcony has a magnificent view of Mt. Blanc and being on the 6th floor there is no other buildings over looking the apartment. The ski rack area provides ample space to store ski/ board, boots and ski equipment for 5 people and is hidden from sight within a fitted cabinet. Further storage space for all other clothing is catered for in the corridor. A lift takes you straight to the ground floor where on one side of the building you can ski in & ski out and on the other you can load & unloading from the car park.

Excellent Christmas Ski

We decided on this apartment after spending hours on the Holiday Rentals and other property rental websites and after emailing lots of owners. The major contributing factor for us choosing this accommodation was Jonathan's attitude. He was quick to reply and gave us so much information that helped us to make our minds up. He was very tolerant of our continuous enquiries in the run up to the holiday too and provided us with lots of information on the apartment, the skiing and the area. The parking advice for the free car park was a god send. Jonathan was even great at getting back me when we were in the apartment and I text him about the heating. We were given an extra week free if we wanted it for the week before Chritsmas. This was great and allowed us a full 8 days skiing.

The apartment is relatively small, although not as small as some we have stayed in and was excellent for two of us. It would also be great for a family with two or three small children. The apartment is very comfortable and the new sofa, new flooring and the modern clean furniture made the stay even better. The apartment is well maintained and well equipped with some nice touches, even a kettle, which is very unusual in properties we have stayed in. The DVD player and DVD's were great for a quiet night in with a glass or two of wine. The ski storage is well thought out too and convenient.

The ski area was excellent, with varied terrain and some great runs that seemed to go on for ages. We went at Christmas and were expecting massive queues. The resort was relatively quiet, but we think that was due to the disruption of the Eurotunnel with the snow. The village is high, and although not as pretty as Arc 1950 had a nice atmosphere.

We have been lucky enough to ski many resorts in the Alps and usually decide to go to a new resort every year. However, we enjoyed the apartment and the resort, and appreciated Jonathan's help so much that we have booked to return in April 2011. When we enquired again Jonathan offered us a substantial discount as we had stayed before. Definatley a bonus for us.

I would recommend this accommodation and the ski resort. The apartment is a typical ski apartment, but at a very good price for the resort (even without this years discount for us) and Jonathan will make sure he does everything he can to make your stay as good as it can be.
