Dear Jenny,

You've built wonderful place with beauty, peace and quiet. We spent here a happy holidays, Barbados has so much to offer, what we liked the most is the East Coast (Crane Beach - the favour one for my kids, Foul Beach with very strony waves - that gave us a lot experience and respect, Harri Smith and Bottom Bay - beauty for me, Bathsheba with surfers and the best cuisine (for us of course) in the Atlantic Hotel, pottery places especially one at Chalky Mount (with the presentation how to does it), snorking with turtles, tase of the St Nicholas Abbey rum, beauty of Farley Hill and Codrington Collage .. yesterday we experienced the wildlife reserve that was sth especially rainforest

Special thanks for Cecily, she is the good sprit of the house.

thank you indeed and I hope to return here some day

very best

Perfect slice of Heaven

  • 5 of 5

Our words to you ~ Crow's Nest is your splash of heaven on earth!

To start, try to wake early. You will be overwhelmed by the sunrise from the lanai as it rises to your cliff off the Atlantic Ocean. The beauty is to behold.

The warmest days can be cooled by the near constant breeze of the trade-winds in this airy home. If that doesn't provide you with the cooling that you desire, then dip into the meticulous pool.

When night falls, you have many ways to relax with the inviting rooms, if you are staying at home. A true joy is having a delicious dinner prepared by Shelly & Eddy in your kitchen. The personality of the island is certainly expressed thru them, the food, the preparation and their laugh!

Our holiday ~ When Jenny opened her home to us, Lynn took over and provide the most relaxing, spacious home to enjoy our getaway! The words above is a description, but the expressions that we felt during our stay cannot be put into words.

Stunning Ocean Property

  • 5 of 5

A beautiful ocean location, quiet little street and a gorgeous villa. Would highly recommend to friends and family, as well as return ourselves (hopefully very soon).

Close to the airport (but not too close!), lovely cooling breeze, fantastic maid, excellent recommendations and local information. Stunning big rooms, especially the master suite.

A slice of paradise - quiet, secluded and private

  • 5 of 5

Jenny and Clare have created a beautiful house, superbly located on the cliff with panoramic 180 degree views of the sea. The garden is stunning, with a wide variety of cacti and aloe plants as well as palms. The pool is refreshing and clean and there are lots of places to catch the sun or recline in the shade as you wish.

The house keeper, Cecilie is a gem - warm, friendly and unobtrusive.

The house is well located - the sea breeze keeps mosquitos away and provides respite from the hot sun. Local beaches are lovely and almost deserted, and it's not too far to head off to the 'platinum coast'.

A Great Vacation!

  • 5 of 5

Crows Nest in Barbados exceeded our expectations. The home is gorgeous and very well maintained not to mention the view is stunning of the ocean. The sound of the waves will relax you from the moment you arrive. Cecily the house keeper treats the home and guests like it was her own home and family. The hospitality and warmth of the islanders is exceptional. We rented a car and got around the island with ease. The restaurants we went to were (Cutters, Berts, Champers and McBrides) and the food was very good. The Emerald Grocery store was also very convenient for stocking the kitchen. We visited the Harrison Caves, St. Nicholas Abbey - Great rum samples, The Flower Forrest, the Raggedy Light House, Sam Lords Castle - Great beaches here, Bathsheba - See the very cool mushroom rocks. The beaches were clean with beautiful scenery. The warm sand is soft white and pink. We could not have asked for better weather for our vacation. We had a outstanding vacation and will be back at Crows Nest and Barbados in the future. Only next time we will stay longer than a week. Thanks Barbados, your hospitality is definitely underrated!

pure utopia

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I spent 8 wonderful days here with my brother and his girlfriend. As I had never been to Barbados, I did not know what to expect except for the photos on vrbo. Whatever my expectations were, this gorgeous place outdid them tenfold! Beautiful, meticulously designed, comfortable, so clean you could eat off the floor, views of the Atlantic spectacular with cooling breezes,....I could go on and on! Cecily the housekeeper was sweet and so very kind...and very efficient. I cried when we had to leave and she gave me a big hug. We will definitely be back one day! Thank you, Jenny, for the use of your beautiful house.

Pure Magic

  • 5 of 5

We had a wonderful trip to Crow's Nest over the March/ Spring break. We are already trying to squeeze another trip in before the end of the year.

The view is breathtaking and you, truly, never get tired of gazing out over it from the house. We kept the doors and windows open and never used the AC but just listened to the sound of the sea and were cooled by the constant breeze off the water.

We have two children (11 and 12) and they spent most of their house time in the pool.

The information in the house was very useful and we spent our time between Crane Bay Beach and Miami Beach. On the advice of Stoutes (Lynn) we had a wonderful dinner at Cafe Luna. Jenny, the owner, was really pleasant to deal with and Stoutes made sure everything was in order.

The house is exactly as it appears in the photo's, if not better. Cecily keeps it sparkling clean and is delightful and helpful. It is equipped with everything you could need and is beautifully designed and decorated. We felt immediately welcomed and it was easy to relax. We have rented houses in many places (this is our preferred way of going on vacation) and can say Crow's Nest rates top of our list.

We hired a car and found the driving around very easy. Locals are friendly and easy going and we quickly got the hang of things. On a second trip we would make a point of stopping closer to Bridgetown for a larger supermarket to stock up. There are local facilities but the closer to the major city you get, the better your choice. We stayed local, and not the imports, with our purchases and we very happy.

All round a vacation that was pure magic and we can't wait for a repeat.

Barbados is a small island, just 14 by 21 miles, so everything is within easy reach. The villa is located in Ocean City a small community in the parish of St Philip (there are 11 Parishes similar to English Counties) to the southeast of the island. There are many local beaches, the nearest being Foul Bay, less than 10 mins drive away or about 20 mins walk along the cliff edge. It is a beautiful long sandy beach ideal for walks and picnics. Crane Beach (Sunday Telegraph best beach) is also less than 10 mins away.

There is a well equipped supermarket and mini-mart just 5 mins away. The Barbados Golf Club is 10 mins away, there are many restaurants within a 20 minutes drive and St Lawrence Gap with its wealth of night life is less than 30 minutes away, but if you want a really relaxing evening there is nothing better than staying in and watching the moon glisten on the waves of the Atlantic.
