An escape to a serene and peacful hamlet but minutes away from entertainment hub

A choice of 3 tranquil villa apartments with all amenities in this exclusive part of Malta. Quiet and peaceful yet only minutes away from the entertainment hub of Paceville and the more popular St. Julians Bay with its many restaurants and great bars. Properties also enjoys the use of a large swimming pool (41 sq m), sunbeds, deckchairs, hammock for a couple, 3 seater hammock swing, rocking bench, large umbrellas, gazebo seating for 8, barbecue area with its own fridge and kitchen facilities, shower and WC facilities by pool area. The dedicated solar heating system for the pool allows use of the pool from April to October. Access to pool area is via wooden bridge over large cascading koy fish pond. A further gazebo with vine tree is adjacent to a smaller water turtle pond. Very romantic setting in this hilltop area with extensive views of Malta, where the tropical garden and the cascading waters from the fish ponds continue to add to the serenity that the whole place seems to create.

Our pets: Our garden, although small, is very mature and extremely well kept, providing a tranquil atmosphere, also helped by the sound of the cascading waters in the background. Our own pets, (cats and dog), other than the koy fish and turtles already mentioned, also have their own separate dens, and are well kept, pampered and cared for.

For those who want more out of their holiday: The pool and garden areas have proven to be a refreshing start or close to any day, particularly if this was a warm or even a blistering one. But Malta has much more to offer than just lazing about in the sun. For this reason we have teamed up with some of the most interesting tour, leisure and event operators on the island, providing day cruises around the Maltese archipelago on a Turkish gullet, an evening’s entertainment extravaganza live show on the 1565 Great Siege of Malta, a visit to the nearby water marine park, an unforgettable once-in-a-lifetime experience swim with the dolphins, or how about exploring some of the most interesting dive sites in the Mediterranean. In collaboration with our friends at Go Dive Malta, we are now also able to offer this experience to practically everyone, from beginners to dive masters. Transport arrangements have also been secured for all these events to pick our guests from our apartments (or very close by).

What we stand for.: We have been called ‘a home away from home’ by some of our past guests, a name which honours us completely, and while we continue to dispense recommendations on what to do and where to go during your stay to help you better discover these culture-packed islands, we will strive to live up to that name and better our product.

The romantic setting and spacious kitchen/sitting/dining area probably make this apartment as the most ideal for a couple. The kitchen is fully equipped with all amenities and the pine kitchen furniture blends well with the cane kitchen table, chairs and sofas. Adjacent to this is the short but wide corridor which houses the desk area. Opposite the corridor is the large bathroom (with bath, not shower) which also encompasses the washing machine and tumble drier. The bedroom is adjacent to the bathroom at the end of the short corridor.

This apartment can also be connected to apartment Orange via two communal doors (to ensure the privacy of both apartments if these are rented out separately) should the party be larger than 2 (up to a maximum of 9 persons). Nous voulons vous remercier pour l'agéable séjour que nous avons passé dans votre location. L'accueil a été chaleureux, l'appartement très agréable et le cadre extérieur

magnifique avec un jardin bien entretenu, une piscine et un barbecue superbe. Le quartier est très calme avec un accès aussi rapide pour aller en ville qu'à la campagne.



Beaucoup de choses à visiter, nous avons particulièrement apprécié la cote ouest : Mdina, Rabat, la plage de sable rouge Ghajn tuffieha bay.

le nord : Marfa village pittoresque et étange, l'ile de Gozo Dwejra bay, la citadelle, Ramla bay.

La Valette avec ses remparts et son palais.



Nous garderons un merveilleux souvenir de nos vacances à Paques et de nos hotes Paul et Josanne.

a perfect getaway !

This place is amazing especially the gardens and its surroundings, pool area and gazebo, the fish pond with colourful coyfish and the sound of cascading waters complimented this tranquil place. It's worth every penny we spent! Although there are 3 apartments we all had our own privacy and also had moments where the pool and garden was all for ourselves. Picking us from the airport was absolutely fantastic after a flight. The generous complimetary food basket was an added plus as we arrived rather late in the evening. The pets are ever so sweet especially the dogs they are very well behaved having their own den, also had the opportunity to take Toby out on the leash and walked along the valley. The apartments are well furnished with everything you need for a holiday. Although the buses are down the hill we preferred to hire a car and Josanne helped us organise it. The owners are very helpful and provided us with all the information we required. The place is central and easy to commute from. The island is not just sun and sea but also rich in it's heritage. We will be back.

What can I say?

Our stay at the sky blue apartment was amazing. The accomodation was clean and well presented with a pool area that really is an oasis. The place looks just as good in reality as does in the pictures.

Paul and Josanne are two of the most friendly and accomodating people you could wish to meet. They are very welcoming and attentive yet they are never imposing and your privacy is always respected. Nothing is too much trouble and they will always go out of their way to make sure your stay is as comfortable and stress free as possible.

I have visited Malta many times and I can safely say we will definitely be staying here again, you really do get the personal touch.

A very nice stay

We spent a lovely holiday at the SkyBlue One appartment. The photos displayed on the website are very accurate and all the accomodations of the descriptive were available.

Our hosts, Paul and Josanne, were very friendly and always concerned by the well-being of their guests. The garden was extremely beautiful and spacious enough to allow us to have some privacy if needed.

The neighborhood was convenient with various shops, a supermarket close by. Comes night time, the St Julian’s Bay area was lively with a lot of restaurants, bars and nice scenary.

Ideal Winter Break

We had previously visited Malta on three occasions and wanted to return for a long Winter break over the Christmas period and after much searching we chose the Sky Blue apartment. For a long break it was important that everything was as we wanted it and we were certainly not disappointed with this lovely self contained apartment with every facility.

The holiday was for almost five weeks and we feel privileged to have been able to stay at this lovely apartment as part of Paul and Josanne's wonderful home, it was everything we had wished for and truly memorable. It was nice to be completely private but have the owners around for advice if needed and we miss our chats with Josanne!

The facilities are excellent and although at a high point on the island, a 10 minute walk down the hill gets you to a supermarket who will deliver for free if required and the main bus routes to Valetta and to the North are also located at this point. True, it would be nice to have a car but certainly not necessary.

We feel we have gained friends including Hank the dog! We will certainly be returning to Malta in the near future and will be contacting Paul and Josanne to this end.

The feeling is mutual, we too gained friends, as we do with most of the people staying with us, particularly at this location as we get to see them more often than we do others in our apartments at Sliema, St. Julians or St. Paul's Bay. We have been lucky to also follow up on these guests' stay with guests who also stayed with us for yet another month, who were also very sweet so we have kept the cordiality going; we're thinking of adopting you all and making you our permanent neighbours. Hank is now also joining in in greeting our guests, always happy and playful with a few extra tricks up his sleeve (sorry, furry paw), participating in everything we do - a real show-off. It will be a real treat to hear from you again, and should you again visit Malta we'd certainly want to see you. Drinks are on us!!! A real gem of a holiday

We stayed in the Blue Apartment earlier this year with our two children. What can I say? The apartment was big, clean and had all the facilities you could wish for. The outside space was superb. the pool was clean and warm and the seating areas were ideal. You could relax in the sun or the shade. My two children spent whole days by the pool, jumping in from the bridge, and lounging around with the cats. What really made out holiday though was the owners Josanne and Paul and of course their pets. They were really welcoming and lovely hosts. A typical Maltese family - warm, friendly and honest. They were kind and caring towards the children and assigned them jobs to feed the animals - which they loved. The children really felt as if they were at home in this beautiful and tranquil home in a lovely part of Malta. I would come back again - that's for certain.

Zentrale Ausgangsbasis für Inselerkundung

Wir verbrachten 12 Tage bei Josanne und Paul im Sky Blue Appartement . Anfang Juni 2011 gab es perfekte Temperaturen, wo man es ohne AC bzw. Heizung sehr gut aushalten konnte. Das Appartement ist ausreichend groß für 2 Personen, es ist alles da, was man braucht um sich selbst zu verpflegen. Wir haben trotzdem draußen unser Abendessen genossen.

Das Willkommenspaket mit Toastbrot, verschiedenen Belägen, Wein, Chips, Milch, Zucker, Kaffee.... war super!

2 Katzen, einen tollen Hunde, Schildkröten und viele Kois findet man auf dem wunderschönen Grundstück mit vielen Liegemöglichkeiten um einem Pool.

Da die Wohnung im Kellergeschoß ist, hat man im Bad und im Schlafzimmer nur kleine Fenster . Daher ist es etwas dunkel in den Räumen und man macht tagsüber auch Licht an.

Da das Haus ca. 1km entfernt von der nächsten Bushaltestelle liegt, ist ein Mietwagen zu empfehlen.

Josanne und Paul sind außerordentlich nette und hilfsbereite Gastgeber, und wir haben viele Tipps bekommen über Land und Leute und wir haben die informativen Gespräche mit den Beiden sehr genossen.. Alles in allem eine empfehlenswerte Unterkunft, die sehr gut geeignet war, um die ganze Insel Tag für Tag ein wenig mehr zu erkunden.

Es war eine sehr gute Entscheidung dieses Haus zu wählen.

Madliena's pristine location between two valleys provides a perfect opportunity for countryside walks. This hamlet is located on one of the highest points on the island thus helping to 'cool' down the hot summer nights with its gentle breeze off the nearby coastal areas. From here one can see right across the island, all the way from Marsaxlokk, to Mdina, Valletta, and the north of the island. An important feature in Madliena are the Victoria lines where a natural fault runs roughly east to west across the island. It was the British who, by 1900 built a series of forts with intervening walls and gun emplacements along the 12km of the ridge. Because of its vantage point, Madliena was mostly used for military reasons with the most important site being the Madliena Tower. Within close vicinity, one can also find the Meditteraneo Water Park, Malta’s only marine park. This is a popular place with its many water rides, attraction pools and marine part where one can also swim with dolphins.

The swimming pool is equipped with a dedicated solar heating system, almost guaranteeing the use of the swimming pool even for the summer shoulder-months, such as best part of April and October. We are now also pleased to inform all our guests that the new jacuzzi installation is complete and running. The idea behind this was to replace our 4 seater open Jacuzzi with one that actually holds 9 people; this walk-in construction also takes the shape of a cave rather than having to leave the pool to get to the Jacuzzi bringing a whole new meaning to luxury. The pictures were taken during the night to add to the affect of the new lighting fixtures in the harem chill-out seating area. There is also a water rainfall to the entrance of the jacuzzi to add to the tropical ambiance and feel of this vibrant place. In essence, the pool has been installed with a new liner; we have also replaced the lights in the pool with LED lighting, which also gives us the facility of altering the colour from blue, orange, red, green, purple, amber, and also a random selection of colours, making swimming at night a whole new experience altogether. The inside of the jacuzzi is constantly painted in a soft blue light, which is accentuated by the silver coloured tiling inside as this reflects off it during the night, perfectly complimenting eachother. The seating above the jacuzzi has been a real surprise as it turned out to be even better than what we had ever imagined it to be. Here we have placed garden furniture blending in perfectly to the setting. The frame to this area is fabricated out of wood with sack covering on top, giving it that harem feeling as you climb up the stairs and lounge in what is already a favourite area of many of our guests. At the same time, we have also replaced our chlorination system to one that is more green, as this not only eliminates the taste of chlorine but makes the water that much clearer, making it even more enticingly exciting.
