This beautifully converted property has been a holiday cottage with Sykes cottages for the past 6 years. Set in the heart of the copuntryside with beautiful walks on its doorstep, is ideally situated as only 10 minutes from SHEFFIELD city centre and boasts many outstanding features including wooden floors, exposed beams and stonework.

Peak View comprises of;

Three double bedrooms and one single bedroom. 1 King size bed with ensuite (shower, basin & WC), 1 King Size bedroom, 1 twin single bedroom, i single bedroom. Ground floor wet room with shower, basin & WC. 1st floor bathroom with toilet, sink, bath and overhead shower.

Lovely Rural Retreat Close to the City

Had a great stay here for a long weekend visiting our daughter who is a first year Uni student studying in Sheffield. Very comfortable, well equipped and clean throughout. A few minutes drive in one direction brings you in to the city whilst going in the opposite direction gets you on to the Moors just as quickly. Many thanks!

Beautiful, peaceful stunning

The house was stunning. Very convenient and although it was in the middle of nowhere and so peaceful and quiet it was also close enough to pop into the city for the Christmas market. Absolutely perfect for our special weekend with 9 people. Thank you so much.

Great location, peaceful

Lovely birthday weekend with the girls. Great location for walks and peace and quiet but only a few miles either way to shops etc. Loved the hot tub and lovely welcome pack from owners. Would definitely stay again however in order to give it 5 stars a little more attention to detail on the cleaning front is needed and better instructions on how to use the hot tub. Excellent value for money.

Owner's Response: Thank you for this great review. Unfortunately living next door to a farm means that we always have bits of straw and hay blowing around in the wind. hence outside . With reference to the hot tub, we do leave clear instructions, however, on the Friday night due to the length of time you enjoyed the hot tub the water level dropped. We checked Saturday morning and topped it up but it did mean that overnight the temperature dropped dramatically and we couldn't start reheating until the morning. Hence it wasn't hot until the afternoon. Thank you again Anita

Lovely cottage in the peaks within easy reach of Sheffield

We stayed here as part of a weekend away with friends. The owners were very flexible, gave good directions and provided a lovely welcome pack. The accomodation is good with well sized rooms downstairs, reasonable sized bedrooms and three showers which came in handy after a day in the peaks. Hot tub a bonus and we enjoyed spending time of an evening relaxing. We used public transport and taxis which were fine to and from Sheffield (uber is available) - £10-12 - but a little more tricky and expensive to get into the peaks as there was only one firm that would provide a service into the peaks. Overall we had a great weekend. Recommended.

Originally part of the Duke of Norfolk estate’ the barn is situated in the small hamlet of Hollow Meadows, just 4 miles from Ladybower Reservoir in the lovely Peak District National Park and the famous Snake Pass, yet only 15mins from Sheffield City Centre. A great location for easy accesss to all areas including Ponds Forge Leisure Centre. But if you want to relax you can snuggle on the sofa and watch a film. Sit at the table and eat a great meal or relax in the hot tub in the open air.

Nearly 700 lime trees line the Rivelin valley, making it the second longest lime tree avenue in Britain. Hollow Meadows holds a scattering of smallholdings, farms and dwellings and is ideal for exploring many bridleways and footpaths. Nearby are the impressive dam at Ladybower, used by the 'Dambuster' squadron to practise for their raid on the Ruhr Dams in 1945, and Hathersage, believed to have inspired Charlotte Bronte to write Jane Eyre. Edale, the start of the Pennine Way, and Sheffield, with its attractions and exciting nightlife, are only a short drive away.

Sainsbury’s, Tesco and Waitrose are able to deliver grocery shopping direct to the properties.
