This one bedroomed centrally located apartment has undergone a complete refurbishment and offers a high standard of accommodation for 4 people. It is located one street behind the seafront and at the beginning of the pedestrian zone, offIering an ideal base close to local and regional transport links and with the added benefit of shops, supermarkets and cafes on the same street. The apartment has a large balcony for outside dining and air-conditioning/heating throughout. Accommodation comprises of entrance with entry phone system. The open plan living room and kitchen opens up onto the spacious balcony, and has a three seater sofa bed, air-conditioning/heating, flat screen TV ( a small number of English language tv channels are available), DVD player and DVD's for your use and stereo system. The kitchen has an electric oven and hob, large fridge freezer and washing machine. The large bedroom offers a large double bed with ample storage. The bedroom also benefits from air-conditioning/heating. The bathroom offers a bath as well as a seperate shower and there is a seperate toilet. The apartment also benefits from unlimited wifi internet.

Good holiday in Menton

Big house clean. Supermarket, medical, pharmacy, paiment parking, beach very close and convenient to reach by foot. Home near the downtown pedestrian zone, perhaps a little heavy.

Owner's Response: Good to see in writing how happy our clients are as we get lots of messages left for us but its good to see this on this site to help other potential clients. Just to clarify the possible lost in translation comment, I think their comment on the area being "heavy" I suspect it refers to the works currently being undertaken on street renovations (due for completion Feb. 2009) which is the renewal of paving and installation of lighting and planting to improve the area and make it more pedestrianised. Well equipped apartment in excellent location!

Modern, clean, well laid out apartment with all the necessities. The location is perfect: on the main street 2 blocks before it turns into a pedestrian only zone. There is a grocery store directly across the street, and the terrace affords great people watching. The owner and their onsite representative are both very helpful. We have rented all over France but had never been to Menton. It's a must! I cannot recommend this apartment enough. We hope to return in the future.

Great place to stay in a gem of a town

Apartment lived up to all its claims. Right in the middle of Menton overlooking the main street but good sound proofing so not noisy. We walked into Italy one way and walked into Monaco the other. Excellent range of restaurants suiting all tastes and price ranges. Menton is South of France as it used to be - a local town not glitzed by fame.

Owner and local agent (both english) extremely helpful. I fractured my shoulder just days before we were supposed to drive down so had to fly not drive and change dates and they were so flexible around dates and arrival times to accommodate our needs.

Being without a car in Menton was no problem. Easy to get to by train from Nice and apartment walking distance from the station (if case has wheels).Trains and buses very convenient.

We will be back.

An excellent apartment in every respect

We have stayed in a number of apartments in Menton over the years and this is by far the nicest. It is right in the centre and close to the pedestrian area. The airport bus stops nearby and the train and bus stations are less than ten minutes walk away. All the shops, markets and restaurants you could want are close by. The apartment itself is clean, well furnished and is very well equipped. The bed is large and very comfortable and the bedroom, although overlooking the street, is extremely quiet. The bathroom is stylish and has both a large shower and a bath. Although the sun didn't quite reach the large balcony whilst we were there in early March it is clear that one would be able to enjoy evening drinks outside later in the year. Although it did not detract from our holiday the large number of English T.V. channels mentioned by a previous reviewer were no longer available.

With regards to the TV channels we have been informed there is a problem with the satellite receiver and channels have been lost this has been reported and being dealt with to resolve the issue. Three words sum it up “Simply the best” in all of Menton!

We love to stay here as the apartment has everything: sophistication, design, modern kitchen, space, terrace, best central location one block from the beach, nearby giant indoor & outdoor Marché, supermarket, boutiques, boulangeries, all you could ask for! You will be greeted by Karen, your local contact, who looks after your needs in a kind and charming way. The owner Shirley is unbeatable, so gracious and welcoming. A perfect holiday awaits you in Menton at Saint Roch !

Located in the centre of Menton this apartment offers access to a range of public and private beaches within minutes walk, these beaches offer a plethera of water sports and excellent dining. Menton itself offers a range of cultural activities including cinemas, theatres and bar/cafes. Throughout the Menton calendar there are a range of activities to participate in from Garden visits to Tango dancing lessons, to Lemon Festival parades to ice skating in the gardens at Christmas time.
