Our superb 4 Bed 3 Bath Home Sleeps 8 in comfort. Split floor plan offers complete privacy for everyone, with the four bedrooms arranged around the outside of the living areas, with each bedroom next to a bathroom.

Over 2100sq feet fully air conditioned with tile to all living areas to keep cool whilst all bedrooms have fitted carpets for comfort. Vaulted ceilings & fans help to keep house cool. Free wireless internet full cable package 42 inch Plasma TV with DVD Player, and a further 2 flat screen TV's - one in master bedroom. In the second bedroom there is a mini hi-fi system.

Fully fitted kitchen with microwave, dishwasher, US sized fridge/freezer with ice maker, oven coffee maker waste disposal toaster and all the plates cooking utensils pots pans and crockery you need.

Laundry Room with family sized washer & separate tumble dryer iron & board. All bed linen towels cooking utensils provided everything you need - fully equipped!

Master bedroom has 5ft bed with extremely comfortable pillow top mattress and brand new bed clothes. Large walk in closet and full set of high quality wooden bedroom furniture.

Second bedroom has 5ft bed and brand new bed clothes, sheets comforter etc. Also has large walk in closet with bedroom furniture and separate night stands with lamps.

Both living rooms have leather furniture and there are 2 seperate indoor dining tables as well as a breakfast bar.

Outdoors in the pool area is a further large dining table with 6 chairs and room for 8 people to eat.

Swimming Pool is ideal for families use. Has shallow end with easy to access steps. Pool heating is available at a small extra cost although not really needed in June July August and September. Pool is screened by hedges and bushes for full privacy. Pool deck has more than enough room for sunbathing with undercover area for dining and shade when required.

Wonderful Golf Course location situated back from the fairway super course great views with green fees only $25 including golf buggy and half sets of Golf clubs in the garage for guests use.

Upgrades for 2015/16 include new fridge with ice maker new washer & dryer, new bedroom carpets full exterior & interior redecoration, new dining suite indoors & out, new pillow top mattress to master bed, new bed linen new towels, furniture pictures, rugs, curtains, electrically operated garage door opener.

We also supply both a gas and a charcoal BBQ for our guest's use. Unlike many other owners we do not charge for using our BBQ's. All we ask is that they are left clean after you use them - we would also like to point out that they must not be used in the house or garage - strictly only in the back garden.

We have a cot, a crib, a high chair & a pool fence all available if required at no extra cost.

Great beaches on our doorstep at Hudson for sunsets and Alfred McKethan Park [Pine Island] for shallow warm water with golden sands, covered cabanas free showers and all day car parking. Also visit the newly opened SunWest Beach only 4 miles north on US19 where you will find clean white sandy beaches, shallow water, lifeguards, giant inflatable slides in the water for children, as well as Jet Ski hire. Also there are showers, covered ares a small shop and a food outlet. Finally there is the world famous Clearwater Beach approx. 45 mins away with all the amenities as well as the magnificent bridges you drive over on your way there. We often catch a cruise from here to see the Dolphins - breathtaking! Also the piers are well worth a visit here to see all the local arts and crafts - many for sale at very reasonable prices.

Supermarket 24hr Pharmacy & Fuel less than 1 mile. Great shopping nearby at Gulf View Mall, Citrus Mall, Countryside Mall south on US19 has ice skating, The Shops at Wiregrass and International Mall in Tampa.

Superb range of restaurants all within easy reach of our home and include Bonefish, Catches and Red Lobster for great seafood, Longhorn, The Outback, Chillis and Sam Seltzers for great steaks and ribs etc., Applebees is a really nice neighbourhood diner with a very friendly feel and then there is Dennys for breakfast as well as I-Hop with Marcello's on our local parade of shops a very good Italian Take-Away. There is so much more great food nearby - too many to list!

Our Florida Story

We have been coming to Florida as a couple and now as a family for the past 20 years and are still as much in love with the place as we ever were. We are always excited to visit and love to plan each trip together and then really look forward to coming each time we visit.

We have often brought friends and other family members with us and everyone has been taken by some or all of what Florida has to offer. There really is so much to do and see - all you have to do is ask and you can tap into our experience of everything that the local area has to offer.

We live in the UK in a village in rural Norfolk. We have always lived near the sea and have always enjoyed living by the coast and so Florida's Gulf Coast was the natural place for us to buy our holiday home. The weather is always fine, the local people are very friendly and we have all the advantages of staying in a home from home. We have got to know some of our neighbours along our street and have made friends and contacts in and around the area that are always on hand to offer help and assistance to both ourselves and our visiting guests.

Our property managers, Sue and Steve, live nearby and are on hand to give you both a friendly welcome and any help or advice you need to help you enjoy your stay. They are very reliable and know the area extremely well.

Best of Both Worlds

Situated on the Gulf Coast we have found the area to be quieter and more relaxed than the more commercial East Coast and Orlando/Kissimee areas. Here on the Gulf we have the best of both worlds; there are great beaches nearby (SunWest and Pine Island Beach being our favourites) and easy access to attractions with Busch Gardens and Adventure Island among our favourites and both less than 45 minutes away.

The immediate area is well served by an amazing choice of excellant restaurants - you can eat at a different venue every night for 2 weeks and enjoy something quite different each time. Catches, Longhorn, Chilis, Red Lobster, Applebees, The Outback, Sams and Bonefish are among our favourites. For breakfast there is RAM's family Diner nearby, I-Hop on US 19 and of course Dennys. For snacks and treats there is Dairy Queen and for lunch Sub-Way and all of these places are within easy reach of our home

A great way to spend an evening is to have a BBQ at the house and eat outdoors on the pool deck - a great place to relax and unwind after a hard days shopping!

Other Attractions

There is great shopping locally at Gulf View Mall and along US19. Travel a little further and Citrus Mall (25mins drive) and International Mall in Tampa (40mins drive) have all the shops you could wish for - as do 'The Shops at Wiregrass' - a more traditional high street type layout with numerous shops, restaurants and cafes - retail heaven!

For parkland walks and nature trails there is JB Starkey Wilderness Park - a great area for picnics and cycling too. Also there is the amazing Weeki Wachee Springs - a superb warm water natural spring that can be canoed along for its entire 6 mile length - great for viewing Florida in the raw and all its amazing wildlife including Manatee, birds, turtles etc.

Why not visit nearby Tarpon Springs where you can arrange boat andfishing trips as well as Dolphin Cruises and even snorkelling or indulge in fabulous traditional Greek pastries and strong coffees in authentic Greek cafes.

North on US19 lies Spring Hill, a vibrant town where you can explore shops and visit Pine Island Beach ( a State Park also known as Alfred McKethan Park) with its sandy beaches and shady picnic areas. Here you will also find car parking, showers, toilets, outdoor bbq's and a small shop to buy drinks and snacks.

Further afield in Tampa you can visit museums (such as the amazing Museum of Science & Industry on East Fowler Avenue) , art galleries and of course the fabulous Florida Aquarium - a must see for children and adults alike.

A little further afield is the Salvador Dali museum and gallery in St Petersburg, a fascinating day out.

About Sue & James Durrant

We live in the UK in a village in rural Norfolk, not far from the city of Norwich. We have always lived near the sea and have always enjoyed living by the coast and so Florida's Gulf Coast was the natural place for us to buy our holiday home. The weather is always fine, the local people are very friendly and we have all the advantages of staying in a home from home.

What makes this villa unique

There are so many amazing features and benefits when choosing our home. The house was made for families and groups of people wishing to stay together. The internal layout of the property is perfect with each bedroom next to a bathroom for convenience. All the bedrooms and bathrooms are arranged around the main living areas - this allows everyone their own space and privacy whilst providing plenty of separate areas to meet up, relax, eat or just hang out and watch TV.

The house itself is very spacious, has high vaulted ceilings to keep it cool with plenty of parking out front and a large double garage so that vehicles may be stored and kept cool overnight.

Outside there is a fabulous pool terrace with plenty of room for outdoor dining, sunbathing or simply looking out over the neighbouring golf course. It feels like you are in a park due to the rolling grass fairways and numerous birds, squirrels and other wildlife passing by.

The house itself is less than 1 mile away from a Supermarket, and a Gas station as well as pharmacies, takeaway restaurants and only 2 miles from the nearest beach. However as we are situated in a quiet no outlet (cul-de-sac) road the area is quiet, residential and the neighbours are friendly.

  • In the master bedroom, as well as a full range of bedroom furniture there is also an oversized walk in closet together with a full sized en suite bathroom with large bath tub, extra large separate shower cubicle, toilet and twin wash basins with twin vanity units both with lighting, seperate mirrors and a shaving point. The bedroom has a flat screen TV as well as a small music system. There is sufficient space within the master bedroom to place either a cot (crib) or a separate folding bed that is available in the house. Whilst we have NOT counted this room as able to sleep any more than 2 in any of our property information a small child or infant could easily sleep within this room if required. The remaining bedrooms are all located around the perimeter of our home and each one is placed next to a bathroom. With 3 bathrooms, each with a shower, shared between 4 bedrooms there is privacy for everyone and no hold ups waiting for a bathroom (or toilet) to become available when needed.

Best of both worlds

The Villa was fantastic! Just as described in the property review, the owners made booking & arrangments very easy, the villa is well positioned & very peaceful, locals very friendly, Hudson was a very pleasant surprise with plenty of places to explore, with Busch Garden very close & the Disney parks 1 & 3/4 hours away we had the best of both worlds (You will need a hire car) We took advantage of the golf course & had a great day. We would certainly return when possible & recommend the villa to anybody looking for a relaxing holiday with the option to check out the Disney parks.

Owner's Response: Once again it is a real pleasure to get such strong feedback from our visitors - it really makes all the time and effort we have put into the house worthwhile. We are delighted that Kevin and his family enjoyed not only the villa but the area. We definately agree that the Hudson location gives the best of both worlds. Whilst the house is located in a quiet cul de sac (no outlet) you have a Publix supermarket, a diner, and two 24 hr pharmacies within walking distance. Looking slightly further afield there are great beaches, excellent shopping malls and great restaurants all with in a very short drive. And of course there is the golf course upon which the house sits - albeit 40 yards back from the fairway thereby ensuring you are not disturbed. As Kevin and his family found the course itself is very well laid out and very welcoming, and at £18 per round including an electric golf buggy extremely well priced. The staff that work in the club house are very friendly and equally importantly are well up to date on football results back here in England! Whilst Disney is one of Florida's more obvious attractions and definately worth seeing, most people who have stayed at the house seem to prefer the wonderful mixture of rides, animals and attractions that Busch Gardens has to offer, and at only 45 mins drive from the house it really is worth visiting. For a great night out you can visit the wonderful selection of bars, restaurants and night clubs in Ibor City which is a suburb part of Tampa. Also there are the local beeches in both Port Richey and New Port Richey as well as a little further south at Clearwater Beach - one of Florida's best - and only 45 minutes drive. Furthermore Caladessi Island and Pine Island are also very worthwhile. The beach at Hudson is fine for taking fishing or surfing trips but the beach itself is not really of a good enough standard to want to visit simply for swimming or sunbathing. For anyone wishing to book our villa we do have a wealth of local knowledge having stayed in the area many many times - all you need to do is ask!

Fantastic very loved and cared for villa

We had an excellent time on our second week in Florida in this villa. The property most definitely contributed to this it was outstanding. The inside photos on the owners direct site do not do the villa justice at all it met all our expectations and more. The villa is very well managed and is located in a very well kept neighbourhood.

Lots of places to visit in the surrounding area some breathtaking beautiful beaches and fantastic wildlife. Public, Walmart and lots of restaurants really close too. All in all I would 100% recommend 5* plus

Great space for two families traveling together. Kids loved the pool.

The property was clean and well maintained. It was quiet and very comfortable. We had to get use to "Florida" travel. 35 miles to Clearwater is 1 hour 15 minutes.

Owner's Response: Our holiday villa is ideally located in a quiet residential area set back from the golf course with great views. The house itself is ideal for groups or families sharing as all of the bedrooms are arranged around the outside of the living rooms. This gives everyone space and privacy at the same time. Each bedroom is next to a bathroom which is also convenient and with 3 bathrooms and 3 toilets even a large group isn't compromised when it come s to getting ready to go out. As for Florida driving time I am guessing you used US19 at rush hour to get to Clearwater. Our suggested route is to go via Little Road and then head west over to alternative 19. That cuts the journey time to less than an hour. We hope to see you back some day.

Terrific Holiday Villa

We recently spent a month at this lovely villa in Hudson Florida and were very happy with these accommodations. The house is located in a nice residential community close to shops, restaurants, grocery stores and medical facilities. The house setting is great with pool area lanai looking out on to a golf course fairway. The pool was clean/warm and

most enjoyable. The lanai area seating/dining facilities were very comfortable as well as the interior lounge, living/dining areas and bedrooms. We found the outside cooking grills and beach equipment coolers,

chairs and sun shades to be a welcome addition to what we have usually found missing in most rental homes. Internet access is important to us for business and personal use. The WIFI facilities performed very well for us. The garage provided us the ability to garage our vehicle which was also important to us. During the stay we felt very safe in this home and the community where the home is located. The neighbors were friendly and helpful. The owner was a pleasure to work with in arranging our stay. The property manager was also a pleasure to work with. She was very pleasant and supportive of our needs and most responsive and helpful when we contacted her. We would highly recommend this lovely villa to anyone seeking quality accommodations in the Hudson Florida

area. We hope that we have an opportunity to be able to return in the future.

Lovey home however not as clean as expected

Very nice home, in fantastic location right on the golf course. However, when we arrived the property managers were not expecting us until a day later. The pool decking area needed to be cleaned before we could go outside so no dirt would be walked into the house. The door rails were very dirty and a thick layer of dust covered the furnishings. It also wasn't ideal having to clean a large amount of ants from inside the main shower daily.

Owner's Response: I do hope these few minor things didn't spoil our guests enjoyment of both the area and the villa. I have had extensive conversations with these guests and apologised and thanked them for bringing these matters to our attention. Unfortunately a couple of small problems did crop up during their stay and these have been taken a little out of proportion in my opinion, judging by the rating given. A simple telephone call to our property managers would have had them round quickly to put matters straight. All of our usual pre-arrival checks had been done although, being December the house had not been occupied for a couple of weeks. There was heavy rain prior to guests arrival and this lead to some dirt and leaves being washed out of guttering in the pool deck area. The house is regularly sprayed by a local and reputable company for bugs and these are very rarely a problem.
