We built this beautiful westcoast vacation home by the sea for family, friends and the many visiting guests who come to celebrate this spectacular location. The cottage harmonizes a nice flow between outdoor and indoor living spaces. The outdoor hot tub and expansive multi-level decks surround the home and reach out to the forest edge. Manicured gardens, total privacy, dramatic forest landscape and the beach nearby, make Dream Cottage the perfect getaway retreat..

West Coast Perfection

We had a fabulous stay with friends to celebrate a couple of birthdays. The location is excellent for proximity to the beach and darkness at night for stargazing! The home is well maintained and as described The pictures are accurate and bonus to have a super clean hot tub to use :). We would highly recommend this place to stay for a family, girls getaway or friends weekend like we did. Super fun. True west coast style!

IF ONLY THIS HOUSE WASN'T 4690 MILES AWAY

If only this property wasn't 4690 miles away we would have already booked to return. Coming from the UK & spending so much on air fares we wanted somewhere special to stay on Vancouver Island & we found it. Being less than 5 min drive to the village Tofino Dream Cottage is close enough to be convenient & far enough to be quiet & peaceful. The house is situated in a turn off from the end of the road & then along a small gravel drive which means you are surrounded by rain forest & not in view of any neighbours. There is a small property behind the house but we only saw someone there once so it really doesn't affect your privacy. The house has a light & spacious feel thanks to the two story height of the living areas & windows virtually all the way around the ground floor. All the windows that open have a fine mesh guard to keep out any unwelcome critters. The kitchen is well equipped with everything you would need to self cater. The main bathroom has a huge two person shower with a heated slate floor. There is another bathroom upstairs with a bath under the skylights so you can look at the stars. There is one double bed on a mezzanine on the level and two bedrooms downstairs. All the beds were comfortable and the linen has a high thread count for that luxury feel. I am a light sleeper but slept very well at the cottage. The cottage was very clean and well maintained. You are only a few mins walk from a wonderful beach and a few mins more will take you to the Wickaninish Hotel with its lounge and fine dining restaurant. The house is on the edge of the Pacific Rim National Park which is an area of world importance for it's ecology. There a many trails through the park some very easy with boardwalk all the way and some more challenging. We did the rainforest walk which takes you into the heart of the rainforest & the south beach trail where we encountered a bear foraging on the beach ( once it smelt us it ran off into the woods - thank fully. ) Lots of different outfits offer a variety of tours from whale watching to helicopter trips to a glacier. We went on a whale watching tour but didn't see any whales but that was just bad luck. Tofino has everything you need including a well stocked but expensive supermarket & lots of places to eat from high end to fish and chips. Very near the house is the tacofino van which serves excellent Mexican food. If you are looking for a great place to stay in Tofino stop looking cause you've found it !

Tofino stay

Excellent property. Clean and bright. Very close to the beach and everything Tofino. Restaurants, Rim bike way and Chesterman beach Wish they had decent entertainment and Wifi only issue.
