Note: The Beach Club at Las Catalinas is a private entity, guests staying at this home can purchase access to its facilities onsite at an additional cost per person. The beach club is undergoing refurbishment; therefore, partial sections of the club may not be available to guests during their stay.

Situated in the heart of Las Catalinas, this home in front of the beach, and within walking distance to forested trails, and town’s many shops and restaurants thru pedestrian streets, meaning that you’re always only steps away from activities for a family of all ages.

Inside the home, spaces vary from expansive to intimate, facilitating a wide range of different social occasions. The two-pool terrace features lounge chairs, nearby outdoor dining, and constant views of foliage and sea, creating a space where both kids and adults can play or lounge together. Nearby, the ground-level porch is a thoughtfully designed space that provides versatile sociability based on where you sit. If you move your rocking chair towards the back, you are afforded the complete privacy of an elevated porch space to chat, but if you move your rocker forward towards the edge you can see and be seen, connecting with anyone walking below you.

These open air spaces integrate with the kitchen, living, and dining room set for ten, creating a beautifully designed and richly appointed indoor-outdoor hub to come together for any occasion throughout the day. For personal moments, members of large families or multiple families traveling together can retire to the guest house or the bedrooms distributed across the home to spend time with loved ones. Semi-private spaces like the the entry garden or the second-floor wraparound front porch provide a balance to the ample social spaces so that even in quiet moments surrounded by beauty of Guanacaste or the calm rhythms of town you can always find space to share moments small and large.

Perfection!

The beautiful home is in a small, quaint, quiet little walking town, close to a few restaurants & by a hotel & other houses. We were a party of 4 couples looking for a relaxing, easy stay and we definitely got what we wanted. The house is absolutely gorgeous! Beds are comfortable, and we loved sitting in the rocking chairs on the porch, watching the ocean, and relaxing by the pool. The house momma is fabulous! She made our coffee & breakfast every morning, and cleaned the house every day. We also booked a private chef for 2 dinners at the house and both were so delicious. Highly recommend a stay here!

Beautiful property and lovely people...

Food and drinks at the restaurants on property were expensive and only so-so...but the property was great. There is a bit of construction but well contained. We loved the white water raft excursion and the mountain biking on property is outstanding.

Las Catalinas, a hidden vacation jewel

We were a party of 9 staying at Stu Casa for 7 days. It did not disappoint in the least. Outstanding accommodations, service, views and activities. The weather was perfect, no rain for entire stay. We do a family vacation each year, typically at an Oceanside resort. Las Catalinas was paradise on the Pacific. No need to rent a car. We did and it was an expensive proposition that we would not do again. The beach at Las Catalina's is grey/black sand. Very unique. We highly recommend it for a wonderful experience.

Love, Love, Love StuCasa!

WOW! That's how our group of 12 (6 adults and 6 kids) felt as we arrived and began exploring StuCasa - it's even more amazing than it appears in the pictures. The house and surroundings at Las Catalinas are beautiful. I can't think of anything that was lacking with the house. Nice, large kitchen with top-of-the-line appliances and everything we needed to cook at home. Great outdoor spaces, including the balconies, outdoor kitchen/grill, lovely walkway between the main house and guest house, patio with fountain and of course, the pool and jacuzzi (kids were either in the pool or at the beach the entire time). Beds were comfy and the master bath with the shower that opened to the outside was a special treat. We were totally spoiled by the House Mama - breakfast and clean up every morning, laundry, general housekeeping and the best pineapple smoothies EVER! Loved being so close to the beach - easy to run back to the house if needed and the sound of the ocean was ever-present and soothing. Lots of space despite a house full of people - plenty of quite places to escape to for reading or napping and the large kitchen/dining/living area was perfect for entertaining friends who were staying in another beautiful Las Catalinas rental. The perfect place to stay for a perfect vacation in Costa Rica. Can't wait to return!

Stucasa is Stupendous

We had a fantastic experience at Stucasa and will definitely return. We have stayed at 5 star hotels all over the world and Stucasa ranks right at the top of the list. The house is spectacular with very high end finishings and all the amenities you need. Each room is beautifully done. The beds are incredibly comfortable and every room has beautfiul views of the ocean (including the pool and jacuzzi). The home faces west looking directly at the ocean so the sunsets are to die for (as good as I have seen anywhere in the world). There is a Costa Rican style playground near the house which is great for young kids. The beaches are a soft black sand and the water is a great temperature. Sunset swims are a must. There is a great restaurant 200 yards away called Lola's and a store right next door where you can rent bikes, kayaks, paddle boards, etc. There is so much to do in the area: bike riding, wonderful hikes, water activities, horseback riding, zip lining, etc. We were busy everyday. The staff at the property is excellent. They helped us with everything we needed including arranging our day trips, meals, etc. There are security guards on site 24 hours per day and the cleaning woman were very friendly and professional. We liked it so much that we are buying our own plot of land on the property and plan to build a home there.
