NO CHILDREN UNDER 6 please. The house is a Key West style beach cottage built on pilings and sitting 10 feet above the ground to maximize the views from all bedrooms, living room and deck. Enjoy birds, sealife, and a 2.5 mile pink sand powdery beach that starts right at the end of the deck. With nothing but sea oats and palm trees to enhance your unobstructed view and access to the serene and private beach. You won’t find a better view or better living than this. About Spanish Wells The Beach House sits on a beautiful white sandy beach with shallow colorful water that is protected by a reef. The summer water temperatures can reach into the high 80's with a light sea breeze. The winter offers low humidity and the water and air temperature can be in the upper 70's with stronger north winds. The private beach location is a short walk to shopping and dining. Spanish Wells is a unique place with a rich history dating back to the 1600's with ties to England. Lobster fishing is the main industry. >It is peaceful place to get away from city life and enjoy island living. A local fast ferry stops each day with connections to Harbour Island and Nassau. Golfcarts and watercraft are available for rent. Fishing trips can be arranged. Getting there is easy with daily air service to North Eleuthera (ELH) from Fort Lauderdale, North Carolina, Atlanta, or Miami airports. The airport is serviced by silver airways- from FLL, American Airlines from Miami, and Delta from Atlanta-with 19 and 30 passenger aircraft. A cab cost about $20 to get from the airport to the island, including the cost of the water taxi.. AMAZING view

Visit Spanish Wells a cpl times a year and this was one of our favorite houses. Great location, lovely property manager, VIEW, house is set up great. We will be back.

Lovely house in a SPECTACULAR setting

So much to say. This house sits on one of the most beautiful beaches we’ve ever seen. We spent hours on the spacious deck staring out at the blue water and walking out on the enormous white sand flat at low tide—with only a few other people ever in sight The owners are generous with their paddle boards and kayaks, as well as bikes and beach toys. The house is very comfortable, open and, best, catches the prevailing breeze. The caretakers, Johnny and Nancy, took such good care of us. We had a major Covid snag with our departure and Johnny went out of his way to help, as did saintly Bonnie at the health office and Captain Crazy Roy who buzzed us over to Nassau at dawn. Other highlights: Buzzing around the island in our golf cart—also arranged by Johnny. A trip out with Theron of Underwood Charters for an unforgettable day of snorkelling and feeding the sea turtles right out of our hands as small sting rays brushed our feet. Also saw the swimming pigs — overrated according to me, but right there so why not. Don’t miss Friday night Karaoke at Buddha’s (thank you Clara!) and we had great meals of fresh fish, conch and lobster at the Shipyard, Wreckers, and the Sandbar. This was our first visit to Spanish Wells which is very different from the other Bahamas. Tourism is not the industry here; this is a working lobstering and fishing village and the small local population has been here since the mid seventeenth century. We will be back for sure. A huge thank you to all who made us so welcome.

Paradise

We had a wonderful adult-only vacation at Kiss a Fish. The view from the home was spectacular, the best view on the island! We spent our days on the beach and evenings on the back porch. The home was inviting, fully stocked with everything we needed. Thank you for sharing your home with us. We look forward to our next stay!

Everything you need for a great vacation

We have been coming to Spanish Wells for several years now. This house was one of the best overall. It had plenty of space for our group. Kitchen was fully equipped to feed everyone. We even baked banana bread. The view from the deck is the best on the island, in my opinion. Lots of comfy chairs to lounge outside and a nice table and chairs to dine outside. Below deck is a patio area with chairs, lounge chairs and a great gas grill. We used that grill often. The water toys were abundant. Kayaks, floats, paddle boards, etc.. All you need for fun on the water. We highly recommend this rental and will be back for sure!

From the moment we first vacationed here, we knew this was a unique place. No hotels,a private pink sand beach to call your own and space to breathe, relax and enjoy living on a small friendly tourist free island. Spanish Wells is a peaceful and safe town with a charm of it's own. The residents are friendly and have pride for their centuries long history as fisherman. We built our house in 2011 with love and care and lots of attention to detail that matches the caribean style, yet has all the amenities one would expect in a high end rental home.

What makes this property unique

You can expect a lot of wonderful benefits to staying on a small fisherman's island. Privacy, relaxation, and a quaint town. Catch a softball game in town or take your golf cart down to Poppa Scoops for some home made ice-cream. You also have access to bonefishing right on the beach which is in front of the house. If you don't like to fish, visit the local fisherman for his catch of the day or yummy fresh lobster. Enjoy the stylish, caribbean style color palate of the home with a large living room/kitchen area and an upstairs play area and TV watching room for the kids. Hang out on gorgeous deck and enjoy sun or shade throughout the day. At night, enjoy the gentle breezes as you star gaze on the deck. Watch the sunrise from your bedroom window, living room or by talking a walk on the beach. We also have bicycles, paddleboards and kayaks for your enjoyment.
