Excellent Excellent 4 out of 5 - only because we have stayed in a royal palace!!

  • 4 of 5

1. Lovely cottage – had all we needed. Beds were comfortable, plenty of hanging space, drawers, and power points. Bathroom large with excellent shower and plenty of hot water. Washing machine and heated towel rail in bathroom. Thoughtully laid out and furnished. Even had a torch and

thermos flask. TV worked well as did the Wi-fi. Driveway a bit narrow for our car so parked on the street. Hosts living in house on same property were very nice and helpful – even gave us some of their home grown apples. Within walking distance of The Crown Pub, which served excellent food, the local village shop and local church. Would definitely recommend. 4 out of 5.

2. What a delightful cottage. Clean, charming, tastefully decorated and had everything for a comfortable stay, even down to supplying a torch and a Thermos to take driving on your day trips. The bathroom shower was large and the washing machine a welcome bonus. The heating was excellent and the super large heated towel rails made it very easy to dry your washing. Beds were comfortable also. Cooking was a joy as the kitchen was well equipped. I would stay there again. And also recommend it to my fellow Australians. Rate 4 out of 5.

3. If I can add my comment - the girls loved it - and the kindness of your sweet neighbors.

Very enjoyable stay. Thanks.

Comments 1 and 2 are from my wife and girlfriend who stayed in the cottage..

Quaint, great location

  • 5 of 5

Great location on the edge of Bath, making this a great base for exploring the surrounding towns and countryside. It is just one large room with attached bath, but there was plenty of room to move around. Nice to have parking on-site, although a bit difficult to turn around or back out. Washing machine was a plus. Thanks for a great stay.

Peaceful, large, well equipped studio - everything we'd hoped for.

This is a lovely place - just as described online. We would recommend it to anyone who enjoys quiet, village life. We found the village shop excellent and were pleased to support it as a Community Co-operative supplying lots of local produce. The stop for the regular bus service into Bath was very convenient. On one day we took the train from Bath to Bristol and then a ferry through the docks to visit SS Great Britain - well worth the effort. We found beautiful places to visit near the cottage, two National Trust properties, (Courts Garden near Bradford on Avon and Great Chalfield Manor), also The Bradford on Avon Wharf (Canal & River Trust) and the small but excellent Radstock Museum. It was lovely to come back to the cottage to relax in the secluded patio area with a cup of tea. Thank you, Hendrick, for such a perfect holiday cottage.

Beautiful and clean cottage in a great location.

  • 5 of 5

While planning our trip to the UK, we wanted to rent a car to explore the Cotswolds but stay close to Bath to tour the city. This cottage worked perfectly for us! Only 10 or so minutes drive to Bath, except during rush hour of course, it was nice being in a quiet location with easy access to downtown. Even better, it was a great jumping off point for exploring the many beautiful towns in the Cotswolds. It's clean and well furnished. Hendrick, the owner, was very nice and helpful. I will definitely stay here again the next time I visit Bath.
