A modern luxury 3 bedroom, two bathroom ground floor self-catering apartment in block of four situated on the Millennium Golf Course. Mar & Golf apartments are a few minutes walk to the Club House, with restaurant and bar, and just five minutes drive to Vilamoura's Marina, its other three golf courses and beautiful sandy beach. Views from private terrace over the large sun heated swimming pool garden and golf course beyond. The apartment is furnished and equipped to a very high standard. There are English and Portuguese TV, sports and movie channels. Free Wi-fi. Outdoors there is a built-in BBQ, dining table and chairs on the large terrace which overlooks the pool. Sun beds are provided.

Changeover Dates and Rental Rates: Rental rates are for seven nights stay for a maximum of 6 people. We will be flexible on changeover days and shorter/longer stays are possible. E-mail us your requirements and we will try to accommodate you.

About Carol

We purchased our lovely apartment in Vilamoura around 10 years ago after having seached for somewhere that felt like it could be home in the region . Shortly after purchasing the apartment we moved to Sydney Australia, where we still live, although we always go back to Portugal at least once a year to enjoy a holiday in the apartment and the lovely Portuguese atmosphere.

Why Carol chose Vilamoura

The apartment is in a small complex of only 12 apartments and so is never overcrowded even on the rare occasions when all apartments are being used. The area is very quiet although only five minutes drive from the lively Marina and beautiful beach - the best of both worlds. We have a lovely view directly over the pool and golf course from our large terrace - an ideal place to sit and relax with a glass of something cool at the end of the day.

What makes this apartment unique

Having stayed in many holiday rental apartments over the years we wanted to make sure that our apartment was furnished and equipped to provide a 'home away from home'. Vilamoura is a beautifully kept resort with palm tree lined roads, excellent restaurants and bars and of course the fabulous 7Km long Falesia beach. What more can you ask for?

  • Both bathrooms were luxuriously renovated in Winter2016/17 and are accessed independently from the main hallway. The main bathroom includes a large walk in shower with rainfall shower head and the second shower room a shower enclosure again with rainfall shower head to enjoy luxurious showers. Good quality towels and supply of soap and toilet paper are provided.

  • 3 bedrooms each with two over sized single beds, 1 additional bed and/or cot available for use by small child. Each room has a large built-in wardrobe with hanging and shelf space and additional drawers. The second and third bedrooms open directly onto the large rear terrace. A good supply of quality bed linen and towels are provided and changed weekly or more frequently by arrangement. Daily maid service can also be arranged, if required.. Beach towels can be provided at a small additional charge. All bedrooms have air-conditioning and heating.

Two large terraces, front and rear, ensure all day sun. Outdoor dining furniture and built-in BBQ provided on private terrace overlooking the pool, garden and beyond to the golf course, making this area ideal for entertaining. 6 Sun beds are provided which can be used around the pool. Beach Towels are available at small additional charge.

Perfect haven to relax after golf

Limited space low comfort not well maintained.

We arrived on a Saturda afternoon and it was 12 deg Celsius outside. Well it was abaout 15 deg Celsius inside because the heating only worked in a bedroom. The caretaker rold us the hearing was broken for some time.

Carol, the administratir for the flat, did not get anyone to fix the hearing but placed a tiny electrical one in the livingroom.

Apsrt from a freezing cold place, the cupboards were a bit filthy. We had expected some form of reduction of rental fee for that freezing experience but Carol refused that.

Because broken heating means also broke A/C, one should ensure that the installation works prior to booking this outlet.

The flat was rented for six persons. For anyone to stay there with a group of six, here is my advise: you should be very close because you will be very very close. There is virtually no space to have a decent breakfirst or seating for more than four people.

I certainly cannot recommend this place.

Owner's Response: Unfortunately the details in this review are far from accurate. The heating was checked prior to the guest’s arrival and was working. The unit for 2 rooms then broke down but the heating in the other 2 rooms, additional radiator and wood burner were all functioning. The management company then provided an additional heater as a back up until the technician was able to attend. Portugal does not enjoy a tropical climate and travellers should be aware of average temperatures when considering what time if the year to travel. There is a dining table with 6 chairs which comfortably accommodates 6 people in the lounge/dining room. There is a small table n the kitchen which is not advertised as an eating area. There are two sofas and a chair unit in the lounge so adequate seating for 6 people. We were not previously made aware of any if the other issues the guest raised and so had no opportunity to address these during their stay. We pride ourselves in maintenance and cleanliness of the property as attested to by our numerous other reviews. We were disappointed by the aggressive tone of correspondence from this guest and would not recommend him to other owners.

October sunshine break

Clean, tidy and well equipped apartment, as described. Ideal for families but you definitely need a car as its a long walk into the centre of Vilamoura. Access to the Vilamoura public bike system isn't possible without owner supplied card which wasn't provided for us. Facilities at the apartment are great and the pool was very quiet although a bit cold. Would definitely recommend staying here.

Owner's Response: Hi Michael. We are pleased you enjoyed your stay. We cannot provide cards for the residents cycle facility due to issues with claiming reimbursement for hire charges and the Council has not extended the scheme for visitors. There are however several cycle hire shops who will deliver to the apartment for guests who wish to cycle. The pool heating is a recycling system and is dependent on the number of hours of sun, before your stay there were several cloudy days and so the temperature drops, but the water is still warmer than without any heating system averaging 24-25 degrees over the last month.

Fantastic Family Holiday in Vilamoura

Thank you Carol for renting your beautiful 3 bedroom apartment to my family for 3 weeks in July '17. Our 3 kids loved the very private quiet pool, most of the time we were the only ones using it. The Apt. was exactly as described - homely, clean, fully functional kitchen, and the newly renovated showers were a prefect way to end a day of sunbathing before heading to the marina.

Only downside was the location is a little too far to walk to the Marina so a car is definitely recommended, which i must add was highlighted by Carol from the outset.

I would recommend this apartment in a heartbeat. Thank you for the memories. J.

Owner's Response: Thank you John. We do encourage guests to hire a car and driving is very easy in the area. Taxis are also easily available and we also have guests who hire bikes. We are pleased you all enjoyed your stay - we love the pool too.

Better than a home from home

I cannot recommend Carol's apartment enough, it has everything you need for the perfect stay in a beautiful location.

The apartment is better than a home from home - the bathrooms are to die for, I wish mine were as nice. The accommodation is beautifully furnished, spotlessly clean and modern. It would be perfect for a few friends or for families.

Carol supplied great information before our stay and we had everything we needed, I felt comfortable asking any queries, she was so lovely.

The pool area was fabulous, it was so nice to have just a few steps down and the grassed areas were very well kept. It was so quiet around the pool, we were the only guests so we were able to be very selfish.

The apartment is right on the golf course, I could see my husband as he came round (on the 18th hole?). Very close to the beach and only a short while from the lovely marina which is great for dinner and drinks.

Absolutely recommend, it was a wonderful break.

Immaculate Apartment with lovely warm pool

We stayed at the apartment from 7th to the 12th June 17. Had a great time. There is everything you can think of for a self catering apartment. Was always quiet and relaxing by me pool, we did get taxis to villlamoura ( under 10 euros) and Albufeira ( 20 euros) we would highly recommend, and certainly would return

This environmentally protected region is renowned for its natural beauty and local attractions. Our beautiful apartment is situated at the end of a quiet cul-de-sac with extensive views from the private terraces over the pool. garden, golf course and surrounding area.

Golf: The apartment is situated directly on the Oceanico Millennium and Laguna Courses, minutes walk from the Club house with bar and restaurant. The Old Course, Pinhal and theVictoria courses, Villamoura's three other golf courses, are just a few minutes drive away. Courses at Vale do Lobo and Quinta do Lago are about 15 minutes drive away. Contact us for links for booking golf tee times and discounts. Other activities in the area include sightseeing, tennis, horse riding, go-karting, sea fishing, water sports and parks, to name a few. A variety of guide books is available in the apartment to help you plan your days out.

If you can get away from our beautiful swimming pool, the sandy Falesia beach is about five minutes drive away and a variety of water sports are available from the beach.

For evenings it is only a short drive or taxi ride to the Vilamoura Marina's restaurants, bars, shops and casino. The resort of Albufeira is about 15 minutes drive away.
