About this property

Spacious bedroom, small living room with sloped roof, kitchenette (no stove or oven). Secluded yet just minutes from all that the Savannah area has to offer. Rooster crowing, free range chickens in the yard, certified organic garden, TV WiFi.

Come rest in comfort and safety in our home built of salvaged antique cedar and heart pine on five acres of forest, marsh, lawns and gardens.

Our nearest neighbors are a football field away. No streetlights, just hundreds of acres of wilderness and plenty of solitude, nature, and rest, yet only minutes from all that Savannah has to offer.

Pets are allowed with some restrictions as there are two indoor/outdoor kittens in residence, and a flock of chickens and guineas in the yard. Please check with us about bringing your pet. We ask that you leash them when you leave your rooms. There is a non refundable pet fee of $500.

I do not host anyone who smokes or vapes. No candles. No open flame in my wooden house. No one but registered guests are allowed on my property.

Lovely place

Beautiful property and nice rental. Very clean and comfortable bed. I enjoyed that it was 20 minutes from the actual city, because the property offered a nice secluded feel but we were close enough to everything. Owner was a sweet lady with many cool stories and a beautiful voice

What an amazing getaway!!

All I can say is wow! Every question I had was answered within the day & they were very thorough in their answers. It was a nice, small & secluded place only about 10 minutes from downtown Savannah. I did expect to be closer to historical Savannah but it wasn't too bad of a drive. We were welcomed very shortly after we got there & we saw the owner right before we left 5 days later. Which I loved because I am the kind of person that likes to be unbothered when just trying to relax. But the guy was so nice the two times I did see him!! The owner gave his phone number for questions & anything else we needed through the week. At the last minute, i needed something mailed back to me & they were very prominent in getting it to me. They even stayed in contact until I got it back! I would recommend this to anyone but especially as a couples getaway!! Loved it!

Great

It was a great location for us, one thing I would mention is we came in the middle of the night and it was hard to make sure we had been in the right location. Long drive, more lights for guests that are not familiar with the property would have been great the first night.

Definitely stay here! Gorgeous property, kind accomodating hosts!

My boyfriend and I loved our stay on this gorgeous property. We loved the privacy of having our own cottage, and enjoyed the green space all around us. Rebecca was communicative leading up to our stay, and all was exactly as I expected it would be. We would stay again in the future!

I moved to Savannah from a Pacific Island where I was an art and culture student. I enjoy bicycling and boating. My first four years in Savannah I lived in a condo in the downtown historic district while I studied at the Savannah College of Art and Design.

Then I bought a dream retirement property but its a fixer upper. To raise funds for needed disability modifications to the property for my resident US Marine Retired Disabled Veteran, I am offering my guest cottage to hard working responsible travel nurses, military PCSing in or out, folks moving to or from Savannah, students and interns.

Why they chose this property

My five acres are surrounded by undeveloped forests and marsh yet we are just minutes from everything that Coastal Georgia has to offer. My yard is home to wild life and sheltered by ancient trees. My nearest neighbor is at least football field away. My guests say that photos do not do justice to the beauty of this property.
