Charming Creek Side Cottage with King bed Close to Whitman

Hotel King-sized bed for your comfort! Lovely location and landscaping.
Our Charming Cottage is well off of the street, next to a year round creek. In the spring it is frequented by ducklings and their family's.
We've landscaped the space to provide a special experience for our guests, with plenty of sun and seating outside by the stream. Large mature trees grace the neighborhood, keeping the area cool and green during the spring and summer, and glorious glowing with color in the autumn. The cottage sits behind a house where we live (downstairs) with a room mate (upstairs). If you bring your car, we've reserved the driveway for you.
Downtown Walla Walla with multiple wine tasting rooms and Whitman campus are so close, you won't want to use your car. Multiple routes leave from the Cottage for rides and walks along the the lovely neighborhood streets.
Inside the cottage is bright and sunny and spacious. The Kitchen is fully stocked for cooking the fresh produce you bring home from the farmers market. Or to reheat the left overs from so many great restaurants with in walking distance. Safeway is a 10 minute walk or a 2 minute drive away.
In the bedroom you can look forward to a restful night in the top quality king sized bed, complete with luxury linens. We also just completed a remodel of the bathroom; new vanity, shower and all new plumbing.
Remember to bring your favorite bottle of wine back to the garden to enjoy while relaxing by the year round creek!

Cozy cottage in quiet neighborhood
We enjoyed our stay. Close to Whitman and town but on a quiet street with a charming stream. Would stay again.

Second Time
It's a great location to all the activities of Walla Walla. We stay because My wife's mother is at Odd Fellows assisted care 97 years old. We will continue to stay at this location as long as it's available and the price stays competitive with the local motels. We don't cook while we are there, we enjoy the larger size over a motel room, we don't miss the motel breakfast offering. It's a nice place for two people but tight for more than two people. Enjoy you stay here.

Great location in a lovely neighborhood
We were in town for a few nights and had great walking access to downtown Walla Walla through the Whitman college campus which was very green and shady. There was also a walkable grocery store which was very convenient. The cottage was clean with a very nice bathroom and it was great to have a dedicated parking spot, refrigerator, and laundry room. It was over 100 degrees and the AC unit in the living room worked great, but the unit in the bedroom was very loud making it hard to sleep peacefully and didn't make the room very cool. Our main critique is that the furniture in the living room was very uncomfortable, one chair wasn't even meant for indoor use. It made it hard for us to come back after dinner and relax with a little TV or a movie after a long, hot day. But overall the stay was pleasant.

Why they chose this property

Our daughter choose to attend Whintman, and we're glad she did! We fell in love with this property and have been working towards improving it since. It has been a labor of love! We've enjoyed rescuing and restoring this Bungalow style 1950's era multi unit property. The gardening is the best part!
We are preparing to sell this property soon. Our dream would be to sell it to a past or future guest.

What makes this property unique

We like walking around our neighborhood; to the ballpark on summer evening for a ball game; to the bakery in the morning for fresh bread, or the Farmers Market for veggies. A bike ride up Mill Creek is a must do, if you have your bike along on your stay. Soak your feet in the cool creek on a hot day. And a Theater performance seems always to be in production. So much to do and so little time.
